Terrific, simple solution for Kayak Storage

I was looking for a simple and inexpensive solution to store my two new kayaks, and this product fits the bill perfectly. Because this product was such a great value to begin with, I was happy to give it a try. These straps are well-designed, sturdy, attractive, and simple to install and operate. I have a high ceiling in my garage, so I was able to get these up high enough to be completely out of the way. I would think you need a minimum of 8 feet in height in order to store two kayaks with this system. I highly recommend this product if you are looking for an effective, yet inexpensive solution for indoor storage of two kayaks or canoes.

AMAZING and BEST QUALITY for GOOD PRICE

I had researched so many way to hang these kayaks in my room without making them look tacky or even an eyesore. I put these up in less then 10 minutes, (the wall hooks are not included, you'll need to buy them at home depot for a couple of bucks.) I have gotten so many compliments on how it looks in my room and the amount of space that its saved is even better. the colors look good and its been working so well. If you're on the edge buying them, just go for it. You will not regret it.

Need 2 people.

I’m 5’6 and put up both my 10ft kayaks by myself. Would not recommend. Buy 2 cheap pulleys if needed and tie to the ends. Product comes packaged well. Easy install. Now I can have my GF park in the garage.

Inexpensive but effective

As advertised. Pelican brand with teal and black straps and teal and black carabiners. Ad noted that I needed to get hardware to attach to wall. Pretty simple: 2 sturdy eye bolts (screws) into the studs and installation was complete. Not a simple task the first time to suspend the upper kayak alone but with 2 people was really easy. Lower kayak easy for one. With use the upper should be easy for 1 as well. These are lightweight Pelican kayaks so no weight issues although system advertised to hold up to 200 lbs. (100 per strap). Suspended the kayaks measure only about 15" from the top of the kayak to the wall. The depth of the kayak seems to be the only variable on the horizontal space requirements as they allow them to hang straight down. Detachable so can be used with 1 or 2 boats, boards, whatever, or can be removed from the wall easily.

Excellent quality and functionality!

This product effectively stores our kayaks on the walls of our garage and out of harm’s way for the winter. The quality of the product/straps is excellent and I like that the paddles are stored along with the kayaks. I am using for off-season storage - the kayaks are quite high off the ground how I am using them so I am not offering an opinion on using them or on ease of use for regular in-season storage. A great storage solution for us. It is perfect and love it!! FYI- You have to purchase your own hardware to install on the wall so you have something to attach the Caribener Clamp to.

Had to get a replacement but…

We originally ordered this set and were sent one of the two straps just tossed in a package with no instructions or anything. I returned and decided to try one more time to order again and got a package of the 2 straps with instructions. Now that we have what we ordered, we love the straps. Easy to use and hang. We added longer straps of our own to have our kayaks hang lower which worked good. One little tip - when deciding on the width of your straps, be sure you measure according to how long your paddle is. We did the straps too far apart and had to take apart the paddles to put them in the paddle straps. Overall, great product!

Easy to Install and use

We needed a solution to hang our kayaks which required no drilling ( as they are stored on a common property). We were able to hand the straps from a beam. It was easy to install and it is every easys as well to store the kayaks.

Great concept, works well.

Works great but did not come with instructions. Securely hangs 2 kayaks flat against the wall, taking up less room than conventional brackets. Just make sure that when you are measuring your wall for location to screw in eye hooks (not included), that the straps are not mounted wider than the bar of your paddles. The straps have Velcro straps to hold your paddles.

Great product!!

Very easy to install.... Just need a couple of eye hooks and you are good to go.... If you have the wall space for the kayaks this is a fantastic way to store them... The only downfall is it is alittle dirrictult to hang the top one by yourself.
