When you want a floating disc, you *really* want a floating disc ;-)
It really does float on water. After putting it in ponds multiple times, I have always got it back. Plus the first time I played it on a scary water hole, I got an ace! Don't let my 3 star ranking for "Durability" put you off; that is a natural consequence of using a material ('DX') that is capable of floating. Also, my 4 star ranking for accuracy is simply a reflection of its 8, 5, -2, 2 flight rating - it *is* a fairway driver, after all. (Get a Quest AT 'Crossfire' for a floating disc that is extremely stable and accurate - but you will not throw it nearly as far as a Dragon.) If you have certain holes that you avoid playing, or have to play over-cautiously because of a water hazard ... Stop It! Get a Dragon!

Shipped quickly, lucky random color.
Fast shipping, great quality, and really happy with the bright, easy to find color I received. Started learning to throw near the end of the season in 2019, and really started pushing myself after lockdown. The dragon has been my go to driver since I stole it from my husband, who never used it. It is easiest for me to throw and maintain the desired line, and get good distance. Unfortunately I lost it on a bad roll down the side of a mountain (back 9 at beaver ranch), so I ordered this replacement.

My New Favorite Driver
As an old ultimate player, I am still getting used to the way golf disks fly. I bought this because all my drivers are at the bottom of the lake. Sure enough, I threw this in the lake the first time out with it. With a little help from my chocolate lab, I soon had it right back. Now I use it on all my holes, whether there is water or not. When I bought this, I also bought two other floater disks, and I like this better than the Wahoo. The Wahoo feels different than other Innova disks, while the Dragon is just a nice disk that happens to float.

My disc is 18g too heavy... (168g)
I really like the disc. Stable, manageable speed, high glide, floats in water, plastic grips very well- it would be perfect if it was the correct weight, but it wasn’t even close. On Amazon (and other sites) it says the Dragon DX only comes in 150g weight, whereas Innovas own website says it’s offered in 150g-160g weight. But unfortunately mine weighs 168g?!?!? So the disc I received is anywhere from 8g to 18g too heavy, and because it’s sold & shipped by Amazon (not a third party), there is no way to request specific weights or colors. Even the Amazon bar code sticker on the back reads “DX Dragon 150” which clearly gives the impression that the disc should be 150g. I’ve ordered a replacement and I’ll be sending this one back tomorrow. Will update when I get the replacement.

Great for beginners and low arm speed
I love this disc. I can reliably throw it with turn and it finishes with a slight fade. Almost had an ace and ended up getting my first parked tap in birdie with this disc. It’s easy to grip, comes in light weights so it’s perfect for new players and weaker arms. And it floats so you can confidently launch it over water. I wish it came in premium plastic and wasn’t discontinued

Great driver, floats in water
I bought this because my primary local course has two holes that have a lot of water and I almost always end up in one of them. This disc has floated every time and allowed me to recover it. That alone has made it a worthwhile purchase. Know the speed and flight ratings before you buy. I like it so much that I find I reach for it often. For reference I would consider myself a beginner, and have a hard time throwing the higher speed discs.

Great once you learn how to throw
I was going to give up on this disk. However, it was more my inexperience than the disk. Now that I have a better backhand this disk is going to stay in my bag. Also bonus that it floats, saved me the cost of the disk once already.

Great beginner disc
This disc seems to be lighter than most others that Innova makes. It's got a pretty straight flight path when thrown with enough speed. It doesn't go as far as some of their discs and now that I have gotten better at disc golf I feel like this disc became my go-to because it was lighter weight and easier to throw. Now I have more power it isn't as good an option for distance but still a pretty decent option as it flies consistently.
