Great paint by numbers

This paint by numbers turned out great. In this particular painting, you are required to blend some of the paints for certain spots on the board. Not hard at all. Super fun and easy.

Dimensions Is The Best

I’ve done literally dozens of the Dimensions Paintworks over the years. They cover the walls of my house, turning it into my own personal “art gallery.” I don’t think I could recommend any other brand. Paintworks gives me consistent quality, and the finished projects look like a NOT paint by number. Of course, it takes practice. My first attempts sucked really bad! But as with anything, you get better with practice. I’d say I’m addicted to these kits, because I am. But at least it’s an addiction that will leave the world a more beautiful place when I leave.

Very nice so far!

First things first...you’ll need patience, a steady hand and good eyesight. The outline is on cardboard which is thick enough...just be careful with it. The areas where you paint are tiny. I don’t have a lot of patience so I’m going very slowly as I only paint a little at a time then put it up while I’m still painting in the lines. It looks good where I’ve painted it and I love the scene. However, I have to paint two to three layers to try to cover the number so that slows it down even more. The brush that comes with it is good and has a fine tip. They provide a larger “map” of the picture and key to paint numbers so you can refer to that. Actually two pieces of paper, each containing half the picture. All in all I like it. I just have to learn patience.

For more experienced

So I’m very experienced and artistic this one took me about 2-3 months to finish! You do have to mix colors but if you know what your doing the end results are amazing and so awarding my son begged to keep this one for his room he was so proud of me how could I tell him no ????????❤️

In memory of our dog.

I had begun this picture on 11/3/18 and completed on 12/12/18--it reminded me so much of our dog that had esophageal disorder--she was 10 years old and was unable to keep food or water down. I have dedicated this picture to her! She was a fighter to the end! The roof detail amazed me! Well worth the time with all the beautiful detail--mixing the paint was a breeze! Get yourself a cup of coffee and dream of sitting on the chair covered by the blanket--with your Best Buddy steps away! I saved the best for last--covering areas with plastic wrap to protect it from getting paint on areas already painted. Mixing the paint was a breeze!

Far more detail than expected

I like the painting. All of the paints arrived in good condition. Some were a little thick, but just add water. I just didn't realize the detail of the painting when I did the purchase. That is my fault, but I think a better description could have been provided. There is a lot of mixing of colors and some of the mixed colors cover a lot of area so you can get a minor variation in color, but because of the picture itself, it isn't really a problem. Except for the detail I like the painting.

A lovely picture

I gave this picture to my sister, who loves dogs. She was thrilled with it. The colours were bright and distinctive and I loved the fact that it was a challenge to paint. I changed the white around the chair to a softer, less distinctive colour. I only paint on a hard surface rather than canvas as it is very difficult to iron out the creases.

Once you finish, it looks like a real painting. Make sure you have other brushes on hand, it only comes with one brush, wears out fast.
