Very substantial and reverential Mary statue. Must have access to a plug for the lighting.

The description of this item was silent on power source as was the manufacturer's website. In order to owe the LED lights that backlight the statue, you need a 3 prong receptacle. I had hoped this would have a waterproof battery option but no such luck. My garden, where I planned to put this, is in the far aspect of our property with no power source. Just be aware of that as it isn't clear in the product notes. This is a lovely piece with depth and lifelike rock and roses in the grotto part. The Mary statue is in prayer. Nothing about this looks cheap or gaudy. I was not sure how this lit up, thinking maybe it involved the roses. The white LED lights are just behind Mary. They are static, on when the cord is plugged in. This adds a gentle perspective and dimension to the presentation. This is a very sturdy piece and unlikely to get blown over. I can see it getting knocked around by squirrels. Place it carefully, consider covering it in inclement weather. I would not leave this out over winter in WI. Remember for the lighting you will need a power source or in my case a super long extension cord. Would have preferred a battery source so 4 stars from me.

AWESOME

Beautiful... Bought St. Bernadette separate to go with this statue as well. Size to go with this large statue. Lights up to make it more awesome. First one I had to return as it had a chip but was replaced. Recommend this to all who love Our Lady of Lourdes.

led light issues

i love this virgin mary but i had to send the first one back cause the light on it didn't work and so they sent me a replacement but it did the same thing the light in the background worked but then it suddenly stopped working so disappointed

Did not match picture and description.

This is a beautiful piece. Wonderful craftsmanship. It was a gift for my Mom. That said, the light in the pictures looks warm white, prior to purchasing I had inquired with others who had purchased it and they confirmed it was warm white. The item I received had a blue light instead. When I contacted the seller they were unhelpful and could not explain the inconsistency. I am not fully satisfied with the product I received as it didn’t match the picture and description, had I known it had a blue light I would not have purchased it.

Lovely Statue

I was asked if I’d like to review Design Toscano Blessed Virgin Mary Illuminated Statue - Beige and I said yes. I was looking for something to replace one of my concrete garden ornaments that had cracked during winter. It arrived well packed and there was no damage to the item. This statue is very heavy and comes in two pieces. It’s dimensions are 29 cm x 28 cm x 48.5 cm. The Virgin Mary has to be screwed on to the other part. Once on the main part the statue doesn’t wobble, (the lighting feature is also on the second part). Once assembled the statue stands over 1½ feet tall The firm has made this by hand-cast using real crushed stone, which is bonded with high quality designer resin. On inspection is seems to be well made and sturdy with no sharp edges. The Blessed Virgin Mary Illuminated Statue is very detailed. Each piece has been hand painted. I did think this item was solar powered but it’s not. The Amazon product page doesn’t state that you’ll need an outside socket (good job I have one) for this item. I have the statue under our lilac tree, which is surrounded by flowers. It’s even more stunning when it’s switched on at night. If you’re looking for something religious for your garden or looking to give someone a religious gift for their garden then this is ideal. I’m really pleased with it and can recommend it.

Tackiness beyond belief

What can I say.....this is tackiness at its worst. It is hard to imagine why anyone would want this illuminated religious idol, nevermind pay the asking price for this. The only positive thing I can say about this is that it is well made. However it would have benn far more practical if the lights had been solar powered. Who wants to trip over or get electrocuted by the power cable running to their lighty up religious idol?
