I had to use the zip tie method.
No bottom clamp and the original clamp is too long. So I used the zip tie method. Just be aware of what you're getting.

Perfect fit no modification needed (see attached pic)
The rubber seal on the unit with the solenoid broke and I could not for the life of me bypass it, water would flow but only at a trickle no matter what I did. I went to the hardware store to search for replacement parts and almost bought a new faucet and got myself into a whole bunch of work when I noticed this. I turned off the water, removed the old unit, added this thing to the line, installed the new metal clip, used the old plastic clip, turned on the water, and the faucet worked as it did before with a secure non leaky connection. You will loose touchless function, but I don't care: the house had this faucet at purcshse and we never noticed touchless features until the seal failed. It took like 2 minutes to bypass/fix. I don't recommend adding some complex plumbing contraption that is subject to failure. I noticed some other reviews mentioned using zip ties to hold this in place, that was not needed on the unit I replaced (see attached pic), I cannot guarantee every touchless faucet made by delta will work, but if yours looks like mine, there's probably a good chance it will work without modification.

IMPORTANT INFO/ INSTRUCTIONS TO FIX TRICKLING DELTA TOUCH2O VALVE.
** Also, see below how to fix a bad valve** As others have said, the factory black clip/ retainer for the small end of this adapter does not work on a Delta touch2O. It is NOT because the clip is the wrong size, it is the wrong shape. Even if it was shorter it still wouldn't hold the 2 pcs together, the clip is on the wrong side of the adapter. On this black adapter pic look at the small end, the existing female coupler slides over that and is sealed by the o-ring. Water pressure will push those 2 pcs apart. The black clip would do nothing to hold the 2 pcs together, the clip would simply slide off with the existing female coupler. I used 2) 1" screw type hose clamps and cable ties to hold the whole assembly together. **To fix a bad valve where water just trickles out (mine had a tiny hole in the diaphragm). You need intermediate plumbing skills for this. NO shock hazard, 6V. Get this valve: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00YVIE9LI and 2) 3/8" push to connect X 3/8 npt fittings Similar to: "Push-to-Connect Tube Fitting, 90 Degree Elbow, 3/8" Tube OD x 3/8" NPT Male" (Does not have to be elbow, straight would be better) McMaster dot com has better selections. Use sealant/ thread tape and put the 2) fittings and screw them in the valve. Turn The Water Off! Squarely Cut the 3/8" grey plastic hose about 1.5" above the end which plugs into this black adapter. Plug this valve assembly between the cut you just made. Pull the 2 wire terminals off of the old solenoid and plug them into this new one. Turn water on and test valve. If the blue light is on when water is not flowing simply reverse the 2) solenoid wires. As a backup get 1) 3/8 od x 3/8 od push to connect tube coupler to bypass the new solenoid valve just in case. https://www.amazon.com/Generic-Connect-Pneumatic-Straight-Connector/dp/B01E6GLHE6 Choose 3/8 x 3/8 (You can re connect the tube you cut in literally 5 seconds with this). Tie the old valve/ electrical assembly out of the way , leaving all wire connections as they were. Hope this helps someone to fix the pi$$ poor designed valve. I will NEVER buy another Delta product. Any engineer knows a thin rubber diaphragm wont last long.

Lifesaver (with a few modifications)
so my wife was using the sink one day and she started freaking out that the water was shut off! even blamed me for not paying the water bill lol. I checked the other faucets in the house and all was working as it should, just this single faucet was not working. I did some research and found that many people have had this issue with the Delta toucH20 faucets, we never used the touch feature anyways so removing all of the tech under the sink was no big deal. This adapter is a must buy to fix as there is really no other way to connect the tubes back up after box removal. I actually tried to clean and "fix" the components inside the box with no luck, really either replace the box with a new one $200+ or just buy this adapter $17 and call it a day! I did have to use the "zip tie" connection method, but I think it works great as there is no other method to successfully hold the tubes together. Anyways amazon got the part to me quick and it was fixed in 10 minutes and everyone is happy now. What a journey to just get water to come out of the sink faucet! I hope this helps you in some way!

Thanks Vince M.!
I bought this product and had the same issues as everyone else with the bottom shaft being too short and the clip no longer working because it was too long but I followed a post titled "Holding clip on older models. A work-around." by Vince M. and it is getting the job done. I finally have great water pressure out of my faucet after nearly 4 years of having the control box on here slowing the water flow.

Perfect for a simplified solution
After faucet intermittently stopped flowing water I used this in my Delta Cassidy (Old version) to bypass the touch controller unit. Took longer to clean out under the sink cabinet than to install. The old clips matched up perfectly (again, have the old version of touch tech from Delta). Now when I turn the water on it does what it is supposed to do. Flow water. Little less tech a lot more satisfaction.

No clip for bottom connection
The fitting does not come with any clip to keep the bottom connection from coming undone so I had to wire the connection shut as shown in the picture. It was not complicated and works well but considering the high price this was not what I was expecting. I was expecting to be able to use the bottom connection clip from the original touch unit that I was replacing but it did not fit.

Worked like a charm!
After over two years of frustration dealing with the touch feature not working properly on my faucet I decided to get a new faucet. I really wanted to keep my faucet and only needed to bypass the touch feature. I am so glad that I found this solution. It saved me the cost of a new faucet and a plumber as well. This product was easy to install and I was able to do it myself but you definitely need to keep the clip from the removal of the selenoid unit to connect to the bypass.

Work but need a little hack!
After trying to fix the valve every so months, I am tired so bought this bypass kit, I knew it won't be a perfect fit like many of the reviewers pointed out, but many of them managed to hack the clip that does not fit on the bottom, with some tie-wrap, so I have to thank them first for the idea. I went to Dollar store to get the tie-wrap and make the DIY mod to secure the bottom pipe with tie-wrap loop into the above clip (see picture), it is solid after reopen the water valve. Just one comment for Delta, the rubber valve used should have been available as part, because everything else work ok, the rubber valve is so used that it breaks and no water with the touch thing, I tried my best to "rejuvenate" the rubber valve but no luck and now I have to buy a bypass kit and throw away whole solenoid and circuitry to use the faucet once again but in manual mode. I decide to buy the competitor where name starts with a 'M' next time I need plumbing stuff.

I'm sorry to say, but don't bother.
the piece provided does not do or look like what we received in the picture provided. (We also have the ~2010 style Delta 980T. I knew the solenoid would give up on life eventually but figured it would be a minor inconvenience like changing a cartridge. The only advice I can give you for the old models is (might work for new) , disconnect the solenoid from the top and bottom pipes, obviously have your water shut off or you'll be seeing your flash before your eyes real quick. Not sure what I was thinking there. Take the solenoid and unscrew the screws around the white knob, then disconnect the rear plate to expose the electronics. dig around in there until you see the little plunger about an inch long. put the screws back in the white area. Dont be too rough, but dont be thinking you're a surgeon either. you do not have to to attach the back plate if you dont want to as you aren't really shielding anything important anymore. There you go, you saved yourself tons of aggravation, possibly buying another h20 touch system, or just being so fed up that you would go manual only from now on. HOWEVER....PLEASE LISTEN. CONTACT DELTA AND EXPLAIN THE SITUATION, LIST THE MODEL # AND ATTACH A PICTURE OF THE REAR PANEL OF THE SOLENOID SHOWING NUMBERS AND A REVISION NUMBER. Delta responded in under 24 hours, and another solenoid unit was at our door step in 2-3 days even though past the warranty period, so give it a try prior to doing something drastic or buying another solenoid when you possibly may not have to. Good luck

Delta Touch2O Faucet
Worked perfectly. I have a delta faucet (model 980T-SSSD-DST) which is discontinued, the solenoid stopped working but at least the water is manually running ????
