Blue light was a strange choice
I can’t say I’ve installed a lot of toilet seats in my life, but I was shocked by how simple this was. The mounting system uses expandable anchors so you don’t need to crawl behind the toilet to tighten anything. Also, the anchors rotate in an elongated hole so you can align the seat perfectly. The light is a nice brightness level, that isn’t jarring at night. I don’t understand why they chose a blue LED given its effects on melatonin but otherwise it’s a nice bonus.

Perfect for potty training toddlers
This has great features namely the soft close seat, so the kids don’t slam the seats down. The second thing that is great is no more searching for the kids potty seat and having to rush to put it on before the kids have to go. It is also easy to clean and install. The only downside is the cost, compared to an $8 kids potty seat this is quite an investment. And if you are wondering about the light, it’s nice to have but it goes through 4 AA batteries about every 6 months. I use rechargeable batteries in ours. I note about the light is that you need to put the batteries in it at bedtime, it will then stay on for 8 hours and then automatically turn off until the next evening. There is no way to adjust the time when it comes on or the duration. Just a tip.

Great Toilet Seat - Really Like the Night Light
This lighted toilet seat is perfect for those middle of the night trips to the bathroom. I don't need to turn on the light to see where I'm headed. If I turn on the lights, I have difficulty going back to sleep. The light in the toilet seat stays on for 9 hours and off for 15 hours. The timer starts when the last battery is snapped into place. So before you go to bed at night, remove one battery temporary and then reinstall it. That starts the timer and the light will stay on for the next 9 hours. My wife installed this by herself, but she didn't read the instructions and put the packing material in the recycle bin. It took me a couple of days to realize there was some kind of timer involved, so I finally found the instructions on the internet. I'm using rechargeable AA NiMH batteries, but they say regular batteries should last 6 months. The battery and light module is spring loaded and pops out of the toilet seat with ease. As to the toilet seat itself, it's a five star product like you would expect from Delta (great company). The lid descends slowly and smoothly without the traditional thud of ordinary toilet seats. It's made of lightweight plastic, so it's not heavy either. There are pads on the bottom of the toilet seat that are supposed to prevent scooting or movement, but it still moves some after repeated sitting. So I have to readjust it periodically. I've tightened the screws as much as I am able without using pliers. Compared to wooden toilet seats, plastic seats will not accumulate urine stains - very easy to clean. I've thrown away all four of the toilet seats in the house because of unsightly urine stains on the underside. Plastic seats are far superior in every regard. I saw another name brand lighted toilet seat in Home Depot for $49.99 a few days ago, so I expect the price will decline soon. So if this product is in your price range, I believe it is a very good product to consider. I give it five stars without hesitation. I did receive this product on Amazon’s Vine program, but I have to pay self employment taxes (double social security tax) on what I receive and income tax in addition. And that works out to be about a 36% incremental tax for me. Amazon reports this as income to the IRS. So it’s definitely not free. Furthermore, I normally must have purchased a similar product on Amazon and wrote a good review on it before I am eligible to receive a Vine product. I’ve written over 800 reviews on Amazon, but certainly the vast majority of those reviews were for items I purchased with my own money. I write Vine reviews the same as if I bought it directly and give out the full range of stars from 1 to 5. This is a good solid product. I would not hesitate to purchase it myself. Delta has a very good reputation and they make excellent products. I own a considerable number of Delta products in my house and I've been exceptionally pleased. They have fantastic customer service, too.

Read the Box!!
You have to read the fine print on the box to see how the night light timer works!!

Good lighted toilet seat
Pros- Easy install. Good light. Cons- even though it says elongated seat. Seat hole is smaller than normal

Lid stays up but seat immediately falls, poor fasteners/Instr
Nice idea, and we have bought a number of slow close seats from various manufacturers. Unfortunately, our Delta experiences have now resulted in our last. The installation is very easy. Compared to other products though, I have a few gripes: - A product sheet is included, but no installation instructions. Admittedly I did notice there are installation pictures on the outside back of the packaging. I'm frustrated though because I look inside for instructions and see a "product sheet" listing 12 model numbers and a parts diagram where the 12 model numbers are listed yet the parts diagram doesn't list part numbers, and no explanation for what to do with two clear, flat, rubber pieces. WHY NOT KEEP THIS SIMPLE and have the correct model and part diagram for what I bought, with pertinent instructions on the same page? - I'm smart (LoL not observant apparently since I missed the instructions on the box exterior), so I quickly determined how to use the clear rubber parts. They attach between the seat and toilet to prevent the seat from slipping left/right on the toilet. This is a nice feature since a number of toilet seats slip bo matter how much I tighten them. - However, the nut and boldt used are inferior to other products. The underside of the toilet where the nut/bolts attach is convex. I very much like the new plastic nut/bolt system where the nuts are concave because they attach very securely inside the toilet convex opening. The supplied nuts are flat which means they do not seat securely in this area. - Likewise, the head of the bolts require a standard screwdriver. The depth of the area where the screwdriver is deep enough for installing but this bolt is made of plastic and the depth is not very deep. Historically this means you are more likely to strip the head when attempting to unscrew this on a later date. I much prefer the deep philips slots on the bolts provided by other manufactures. - After installation I tested the product. The lid stays up without issue but the seat immediately falls to the halfway point, then slowly closes :( I then opened both lid and seat at the same time, with the same result. Admittedly I did determine it was possible to raise the seat, hold it in place for a few seconds, and have it stay up. However, especially since I dont have thos issue with my White Cloud nor Mayfair slow close seats, nor any other toilet seat I've purchased in the last 30 years, I find this unacceptable. The seat itself has an attractive appearance and i very much like the reinforced bottom edging/railings for the seat. It appears to he a far sturdier plastic seat than thers I have inspected previously. As for those two clear rubber pieces, they definitely prevent the toilet seat from shifting left/right - except the seat and lid are loose enough with the section bolted to the toilet that they still can be jiggled left/right. Really? I know this is being nit-picky but COME ON how difficult is it to make parts/connections which are not loose? I checked my Mayfair slow close, and re-instslled my old seat, and neither of these have this issue. BTW I am replacing the old seat because the metal screws connecting the anchors to the toilet seat have been rusting, and it's not a slow close. On the plus side, I called Delta rather than return the toilet seat to Amazon and Delta is shipping a new seat (thanks). If it has the same issue though, we will return this and buy non-Delta. This is probably our last delta purchase. I recently bought a Delta Classic 400 tub with enclosure, as well as shower pan with enclosure, a long with a Moen and Delta fixture for the tub and shower. No issues installing the Moen, numerous issues with Delta. Way too many issues installing the Delta Classic 400 products. Should be very simple but those products aren't designed for sturdy, non flexing needs required in the bathroom.

Best Elongated Toilet Seat with a Night Light
I did not get paid or receive anything for my review. I personally purchased and paid for this item at amazon.ca We initially had two American Standard Round toilets with a Kohler Cachet Round toilet seat with night light on each and they worked flawlessly for many years and we never encountered one single problem or issue with either toilet seat. We decided to upgrade the toilet in the main bathroom and purchased a new 2019 American Standard ( 1pc ) Champion 4 “ Elongated “ toilet in white. The new toilet looks great and is very quiet and functions perfectly but comes with a standard “American Standard “ elongated white plastic seat. Once you have a toilet seat with a night light you simply can’t go back to a toilet seat with no night light. In the world of toilet seats with night lights you have two choices ( Kohler or Delta Faucet ) and I own both brands. I purchased a Kohler 75796-0 Cachet “ Elongated “ toilet seat with a Nightlight and a Quiet-Close function in the colour White for the new toilet but eventually I returned it. My complaint with the Kohler Cachet Elongated seat was the position and brightness of the night light and the height of the toilet seat from the water. My full review on the Kohler Cachet Elongated Toilet Seat is available on Amazon.ca. After reading several mixed reviews about the Delta Faucet 813902-N-WH Sanborne “ Elongated “ Toilet Seat with Slow Close and Night Light in White, I decided to find out for myself and I ordered one. The following is my review on the Delta Faucet 813902-N-WH Sanborne “ Elongated “ Toilet Seat with Slow Close and Night Light in the colour White. The toilet seat arrived and I was impressed how well packaged this item was as compared to other brands of toilet seats I had previously purchased in the past. The first thing I did was remove the seat from the box and checked to see if the Delta Faucet colour ( white ) matched my new toilet and that all the pieces were present. The Delta Faucet white colour is slightly whiter than the American Standard Champion 4 toilet but the whiter colour actually compliments the overall look of the Champion 4 toilet. There was zero damage or scratches and there were no pieces missing. I installed the Quick Release System. The pieces that connect the toilet seat to the toilet. The bolts are metal and the fasteners underneath are plastic with a metal nut inside of the faster. The instructions are on the back of the box and are simple and straight forward to follow. The Delta Faucet Quick Release System is not as good as the Kohler Cachet Quick Release System but does get my vote for a very strong second. There are two round black pieces with upright chrome pegs that sit on the top of the toilet bowl. One is marked LEFT and the other is marked RIGHT. Make sure you position them in the correct place left and right. These black Quick Release pieces also have a slot that allows you to slide the toilet seat backwards and forwards so you can adjust the length of the toilet seat to match your toilet bowl. When you install the two metal bolts just snug them up and don’t tighten them down completely until after your satisfied with the position of the seat on your toilet. There are two round holes in the back of the seat and you simply insert the two upright chrome pegs into the holes to connect the seat to the toilet. There is no locking device and the seat actually just sits on the two upright chrome pegs ( see photo ) and the seat is super easy and quick to remove or install. The Delta Faucet seat is heavier in construction than the Kohler Cachet seat. There are 4 rubber bumpers under the seat and the “ Quiet Close” works great for both the lid and the seat. The top and sides of the seat are much flatter and are not as contoured as the Kohler Cachet seat and feels more like an enamelled wood seat when you sit on it. I have no issues with the design and function of this seat. This Delta Faucet elongated seat sits at the correct height above the water in the bowl. The night light takes 4 AA batteries ( not included ) and is blue but is only a 1 inch by 1/2 inch window under the seat ( see photo ) and only shines directly downwards into the water with very little reflection in any other direction. The entire night light slides right inside the toilet seat. There is no on or off button for the timer. Once you install the batteries it turns on the night light for 9 hours and then shuts off for 15 hours and automatically repeats and turn on at the same time each day. So if you want the night light to come on at 5PM just slide the night light out at 5PM and remove one of the batteries ( that turns it off ) and then stick the battery back in and it comes back on. You have now set the timer and the night light will come on at 5PM every day. The night light on the Delta Faucet elongated seat is only about one half as bright as the Kohler Cachet night light but is sufficient. I know this to be true, because I own both brands. The Delta Faucet seat is well made so I can only assume that any complaints or returns on this item will likely be due to the brightness of the night light. Thats unfortunate, because the night light could " easily " be made so much brighter. I hope you enjoyed my review and it was helpful.

Excellent Product
The install was super easy and much easier to clean that the standard way seats are attached with large bolts. This seat easily comes on and off for easy and better cleaning. The night light inside is great! Now those middle of the night trips don’t require the overly bright ceiling light. Added bonus is my grandchildren love having a lit up toilet and they also like the light for at light. Definitely would recommend this seat as well as any other Delta products. Since I started replacing my taps, fixtures, etc. With Delta I have never had to call in a plumber for problems. Excellent, Quality Product and great value.

Great quality
Excellent quality Sealed battery light assembly 9 hours on time should be adjustable from 6-12 hours!

Comfortable
Little pricey, but easy install and works well. The light appears to be on an internal timer, though. It is off sometimes at night and on during the day. You cannot set this time unfortunately. Other than that it does not use up too much battery power. I use rechargeable batteries and only need to charge them once a month.

Awesome tool for a shared bathroom
Works perfect. I bought the large/oblong and it’s a teeny bit too long, but the small would have been too short. Doesn’t affect use. Perfect for our shared bathroom for the younger kids/potty trainer. Recommend!
