Works well, but installation is a pain and the “chrome” is plastic
I got the chrome version, and was surprised to discover it was made from plastic. It feels cheap. Though I suppose the plastic is lighter and puts less weight-strain on the wall pipe (shower arm), but still, for the price, I expected more to the build quality. The installation instructions say to hand tighten the showerhead to the shower arm. It specifically says not to use a wrench or pliers. Well, that doesn’t work. Not unless you want water to leak from the pipe. I even put thread seal tape on (not included) before twisting into place. As a 6’ 199lb man, I don’t consider myself weak. I torqued it pretty hard. The other thing to consider is that the head may not end up in a good position when hand tightening. I’m guessing this may void the warranty, but there was no other way to prevent leaking (and get it into a perfect position) without using a wrench. But that was also tricky. There is a depression that allows a wrench to seat, but it is very thin. In fact, the area is too small to allow a standard crescent wrench to fit. It’s really only thick enough for a combination wrench (typically used by mechanics). But it requires one that is an inch wide, and my set only goes up to 3/4". Thankfully, I have a Craftsman Beak Jaw Adjustable Wrench, which is as flat as a combination wrench, but adjustable like a crescent wrench. Using this tool, I had to hold onto the showerhead with my left arm (to keep it from spinning), while torqueing the wrench with my right. I also had to add several layers of thread seal tape onto the stem. Finally, after all that, I got the head in place and the pipe no longer leaks. Whew! So, the chrome is plastic and the showerhead is a pain to install. Not looking good so far, is it? But how well does it work when in use? Honestly, not too bad. You can adjust the lever to allow water to come out the raincan only or the showerhead only, or you can have it come out of both at the same time. The disadvantage of using both simultaneously is that the water pressure divides into half, so it’s less powerful. Additionally, I find that water drips out of the showerhead even when the raincan is fully turned on. It’s not bad, but definitely not perfect. The raincan swivels back and forth to a small degree, allowing some adjustability. In my case, the entire unit only comes out about 18” (a foot and a half) from the wall, so I keep it swiveled toward me as much as possible. The rain effect would be better if it came straight down, but in my setup I feel too close to the wall for it to be set in a flat position (doesn’t help that I have a shower caddy hanging from the shower arm as well). Thankfully, the raincan is about 79” (6’ 7”) from the shower floor, which allows enough room for my height. But again, that’s just basing the dimensions on my shower setup. Yours could be different. One other thing I noticed is that the raincan stores up water so that, when I shut the shower off, it drips for several minutes afterwards. I can hear the loud “tick” when each drop hits the plastic shower floor. If you’ve read this far, you might think that I hate the Hydro Rain showerhead. But honestly, I don’t. I just want to make sure everyone is clear as to what they are getting if they decided to buy it. At the end of the day, I like it, which is why I rated it 4-stars. It’s way better than my existing showerhead, and it does look more prestigious. Why would the latter matter beyond my own pride? Because it provides a nice touch if you are trying to sell your home. Looks more elegant and elaborate. Overall, I do think it’s a bit overpriced for the quality, but it is still an improvement for my setup.

Where have you been all my life?
Recently bought a new house and the previous owners left a basic showerhead in the beautiful master shower. I knew I wanted to replace it so I researched high and low for the perfect showerhead. I wanted a rainfall but the wife wanted a massaging head. I found this and figured it would be a great compromise. Turns out it really is the best of both worlds! Before I get any further, however, I need to point one thing out. Some reviews have mentioned that this showerhead is much cheaper at the big box home store so, of course, I went to check it out. There is a version of it there, but the waterfall head portion of this showerhead is much smaller (almost 2 inches smaller). That really makes a BIG difference. Installation was a piece of cake. I had to use a wrench to get the old crusty head off, but once it was off I just used a rag to clean the threads, put on some pipe sealing tape, and twisted it on. I actually installed it on a riser showerhead arm because I'm 6'3" and am tired of bending down to rinse my head. This resulted in the showerhead being almost 6 inches above my head which is absolutely awesome! Once installed, I turned it on and gave it a test drive. The settings were easy to switch between and each one is unique enough to tailor your shower experience. I generally leave it on the 'combined' setting, but I also switch it to the 'pause' feature to save a little on water costs while I'm lathering up. The wife uses the massage setting frequently and enjoys the strength of the jets on her neck. The only reason for a star removal is the flow restriction insert. I know why it's there (our tax dollars at work), but it really lets this showerhead down. I actually installed this showerhead three times. First with the restrictor in place, then with it removed (search the internet for how to remove it - it's pretty easy), then with the restrictor back in place but modified slightly. With the standard flow the overall amount of water was choked down so much I honestly thought there was something wrong with the shower valve or the incoming water pressure to the house. It was pretty wimpy. Once I removed the restrictor and put it back up, the pressure was so intense the water from the waterfall head was almost painful to stand under but, boy, was it effective! I ended up drilling a small hole in the restrictor, right in the center, and reinserted it. This provided enough of a restriction to reduce overall pressure without greatly restricting flow rates. Once I had this nailed down, it became the perfect addition to my daily routine.

Awesome shower head and just like advertised
I bought this showerhead on a whim and I am really glad I did so. I had always thought that I had low water pressure but I don’t, my previous shower head was terrible and this one solved the problem. When I received this new showerhead I pryed out the diverter with a screw and pliers because I assumed I had low water pressure. It turns out that my pressure is just fine and I may not have even needed to remove the diverter. When using it I find that I prefer the water coming from the top only rather than the top and side at the same time, and this setting is easy to adjust. The water pressure is really good even though this is so large. I really like this one because of the height, as my water pipe was installed too low and I didn’t want a handheld so I opted for this one. For me installation was super easy. I literally did not use any tools except to remove the water diverter. I bought some Teflon tape and hand tightened this and there is no leaking, it fits perfectly. The only thing is that I bought the more expensive option at $208, but since I only use one setting I should have bought a less expensive model which looks identical. I don’t need all of the settings that this one provides. It is all plastic, except for the attachment area, however it looks really good. I have the brushed metal/stainless version and it looks like metal and matches everything in the bathroom beautifully. It looks classy. Overall I have to say that I love it.

Well designed. Price is only a value if bought from Amazon Warehouse.
We're happy with this, although I wish Delta had designed the upper spray head with a wider "tilt". At the price we paid through Amazon.ca's Warehouse deals, it was a great value, but I would *not* have paid anywhere close to what Delta has as the list price. Features: The spray is nice and consistent. Because of the built-in "lower-consumption-flow-rate", no matter how much you have your taps set, you're going to have a somewhat "gentle" experience. Both of the shower heads, in conjunction with each other give you a thorough experience to wash your body. Very happy with this Delta, but only at the price we paid.

Beware
I received the package, everything seemed to be in order; except I found out that I received an older model inside the '58580-PK' packaging. I'm not sure how this happened so I'm not going to point fingers, but needless to say I'm annoyed. The older "discontinued" model (75598) looks almost identical, except it doesn't have the groove at the bottom, and the bolt looks different (at least from what I see in the pictures). Regardless I'm requesting a refund, as the older version can be found for at least $80 cheaper at lowes and home depot. As far as a review for the version I received ("chrome"), overall it's a nice looking shower head, the material seems cheaper than I anticipated (maybe the other finishes are better). My water pressure got a bit worse than before; this may be because my old shower head although not as fancy looking was something special when it came to pressure.

Well built. Need a little tweak.
Knowned company... You can rely on a real warranty. Well built, light even if it seems bulky at first. The only downside... the water flow is really low. It seems economical at first, but in the end, I decided to remove the "O" ring that is the regularor for the flow. Easy to do. Now everybody at home can rince correctly their hair.

Spa like showers!!!
Best shower head Ive ever used. Pro tip remove the plastic regulator inside the unit for more flow. ???? Downside GF takes longer showers now. Upside enough water for both of us (together). ????
