Handle Mildews

I have had this hand shower for 3.5 years now and although the settings are good and water pressure is nice, the rubber handle has black mildew all over the grooves and it does not come off when I bleach or clean it. Looks gross.

Over priced IMHO for what it is.

The diverter for this is plastic and not well designed, the gasket on the inside collapses when you install it allowing it to leak. That rubber gasket is meant to be water-tight against the end of the pipe coming out of the wall (straight threads do not seal). The water flow isn't sufficient enough in pressure/volume to rinse off your soap. I ended up buying a solid brass diverter valve and modifying the water inlet by removing an o-ring to allow for more flow. I also added a brass shut-off at the base of the handle.

B E S T Hand Shower I’ve Ever Owned***

This is the BEST constructed Handheld Shower Massage I’ve ever owned! Some debate metal or plastic, but for me, I simply feel100% Quality through-and-through. Solid features like non-slip rubberized handle against a stainless steel frame and face, create modern allure and charm and greet the eyes as a warm envigorating cascade of water enliven any morning routine. Delta is known not only for long-lasting quality, and durability, but also innovation. As an example, their patented “H2OKinettic” Technology which pulses and scatters heavier drops of water into a more envigorating pulsating, pleasing shower, and even consumes less water. I know, because I monitored my water bill, and have saved $67 per month. Knowing how incredible the shower experience is with the Delta 54445-SS PK H2OKinetic Shower, I would have been happy if utility costs remained the same. Instead, I obtained a four-fold reward: 1) Great style and good looks, 2) Long lasting quality, 3) H2OKinetic Envigorating shower technology, 4) Saves water Lastly, there are several easy to adjust shower setting along the perimeter of the shower, including a “Pause Setting” which is quite helpful. All things considered, this is the best hand shower I’ve ever owned, and I wouldnt hesitate to recommend it, to anyone.

You get what you pay for

I know -- "why pay so much?" Well, I've gone through so many of the cheaper showerheads. They keep breaking. The worst is when they crack at the base because the entire base -- where you hang the showerhead -- is actually hollow plastic, so that cracks and water sprays out! This one is still a plastic showerhead but usually that's not what causes problems anyway. The big difference is the solid metal piece that attaches to your pipe and is where you attach the hose and hang the showerhead. That's what you're paying for. There's no chance this thing can crack and break like all those cheaper ones I've gone through. And the head itself is nice enough. I wish it had a better "mist" setting but I do like the "pause" feature. I especially like the way you can set it to be "halfway paused" and get an even lighter water flow rate (that's nice when SOMEONE has been using all the hot water and you know you need to stretch what's left). Hose seems solid, no trouble at all with the connections, no leaks. Works great; hopefully it will prove worth the extra expense in the long haul.

H2Okinetic is the BEST | Second purchase!

Ok...so people need to stop taking the water restrictors out of their shower heads. They are there to help us conserve potable water. As for the complaints that the shower head doesn't feel powerful enough with the restrictor in, I would counter by saying the H2Okinetic setting (the last one on the device) is hands down the best water restricted shower head setting out there. The head limits the amount of water that comes out, but it sprays in a pattern that makes it "feel" like the water isn't being restricted. I almost never use the other settings and would have bought a shower head with just H2Okinetic nozzles if they sold one. In fact, this is the second Delta H2Okinetic shower head I've purchased. The first one didn't have a hose and now that I have a baby that needs spraying down periodically, the hose is perfect. Long story short, yes, this releases less water than my old non-restricted fire hydrant level of water shower head, but as a family WE NO LONGER RUN OUT OF HOT WATER!

Most disappointed will not buy again

I have used this item now for nearly a year. In the first month the shower unit just would not stay put in its holder. Frightened both my husband and I during the night when it decided to fall out of its holder and crashed to the shower floor. We honestly thought someone was breaking into the house. Since then it has done this 4 more times, now the actual shower head is cracked and dented and I cannot believe that I paid $132.00 for this piece of thin stainless steel casing. I wanted Stainless Steel because I thought it would be more robust than the average chrome head. NO. This shower head is so thin that I honestly do not believe it is Stainless steel. We stopped putting back into it's shower holder and let it hang down to drain that way. I suffered a severe bruised shoulder while showering one day as it again fell out of its holder and onto me. I have since bought another shower head one third of the price and it is great. I will be asking the customer service of this company about their product even though it has been a year.

Best We've Had And Comfortable To Use

This "wand" style Delta shower head is vastly superior to the one we replaced. The stream settings, about five of them, are all at comfortable pressure and volume. This is impressive because the head is very environmentally gentle at 1.75 gpm flow rate. It seems to have better stream selections than the wand head we replaced that had 2 gpm flow rates. This Delta has neither a "rain shower" stream nor a "baster" type; our previous wand head blasted so hard it hurt. The new Delta works nicely in between both extremes and all the stream settings are comfortable from very low to a full circle. While it seems expensive by comparison to other models, we found that you get what you pay for in this case. Although very easy to install, we recommend you have a certified plumber do it as they know just how to tighten and adjust. We've used this Delta for several months now and it performs flawlessly.
