Great for what we needed

Faucet looks and feels great, but does not turn off unless returned back carefully in the center. Also, the sprayer doesn’t have the best pressure. However, overall looks and works great

Works good, but not a lot of support at the base.

This faucet feels smooth, the control is fluid, and the device works well so far. The distance between the pivot point and the spout I feel should be longer. And on a stainless steel sink, the faucet is not ridged. There is simply not enough support at the base of the faucet. It allows the stainless sink to flex at the base giving the whole faucet a cheep feel to it. I think it needs additional support from the bottom to fix this. Update: I have installed a wood support that fits under the sink agenst the underside of the faucet which added an enormous amount of rigidity to the faucet... My sink was a 4 hole sink including the sprayer; the wood support also allowed the plugs to fit tightly into the unused holes. The plugs I bought separate. Standard hole size is 1.5", so you will need a slightly larger plug than that. I attached a diagram of the wood support I built for my sink.

Bad product

This faucet starting to turn in the cast iron sink within the 3rd week of owning it. it had been hard to turn from the beginning , i thought it might loosen up after a few weeks of owning the faucet. NO. Now one day out of warranty , what do i do?

I like Delta

I have purchased at least a dozen fixtures made by Delta. I continue to buy them because they last a long time and repairs are usually simple and straight forward. The chrome or finish on the fixtures is long lasting and I have never had a problem with rust or pitting except for one faucet which was painted and that was a while ago. Delta provided a replacement for this one. Delta may not be bullet proof but it is close. The company is also easy to work with and stands behind their products. I don't like plumbing but this faucet went in about as easy as any and because the Pex lines were long enough I was able to lose the extensions that were on the old fixture. The new lines screwed on with some pressure to the shut off valves. I know I won't have to mess with this faucet for years. By the way the old faucet I took off was also a Delta but someone had somehow turned the inside cartridge so it didn't line up with the detent for the handle. It was put in when the house was built. I still like Delta and will buy again.

Shutoff not so easy

Overall it's just OK. I rate it 3 stars because of one critical design flaw: it only shuts off when pulled toward you in the center. If it's off center it doesn't shut off. So it's not like the one in your family kitchen sink when you were a kid.....just pulled that one down in any direction and it shut off. Otherwise it works, although the hose is shorter than some I have had in the past. I wish it were longer. I received no compensation of any kind to review this product, which I bought with my own funds. I despise any attempt by sellers to rig the review system.

Great replacement faucet

I remodeled our kitchen in 2003 and used a high end, brand name faucet system. It worked great until a year ago when the faucet body started leaking. After several attempts to stem the leak--changing out O rings-- I decided to change faucets. After several days of comparing big box units and on-line sources, I settled on the Delta 175-DST. Amazon pricing was the best and I ordered and installed the faucet. Word of caution in looking/buying kitchen faucets: determine if you have a one/two/three/four hole sink base and get the proper faucet. Otherwise you may have an extra hole to fill or a new hole to try to drill--not a fun prospect! Read the instructions and carefully follow them. Only hard part on this unit was to line up the bezel cover with the underlying mounting ring--remember, RTFM!

Good value for the money

The faucet and sprayer function well and look great. The only problem was that the sprayer leaked on installation and the plumber had to replace an o-ring.

I purchased this faucet because it was nearly the only one I could find that would mount in a single hole sink with a sprayer that had a threaded nozzle that I could hook a portable dishwasher to. I own an updated older home, so there is no built-in dishwasher or room for one. This faucet was just what I was looking for. The quality is great. It installed much easier and faster than older traditional 3 hole faucets. This finish isn't bad but it does show water spots. Overall it is a nice faucet of good quality.
