Excellent for fixing a broken dish, food safe
It was very easy to work with this product. I liked that the drying time was slightly delayed, as repairing a broken dish requires patience and precision. It was very important to me to use a product that is verifiable and absolutely food safe per ANSI/NSF and/or FDA standards. *There are many products out there that claim to be food safe, but you have to actually look for that information to be stated on the product or the product’s manufacturing site. Also, if a chemical product is not made in the United States, don’t buy it, as this information is almost always impossible to find and intentionally omitted. I visited dap.com and verified the safety information on the MSDS (material safety data sheet) as well. I made sure that I had plenty of ventilation, but honestly, there wasn’t much of an odor. Make sure that the opening that you create at the tip is large enough! A safety pin is not wide enough for the viscosity of this product, fyi.

Easy to work with
Some silicone I've used were too tacky and hard to get out of the tube. This was easy to work with. I appreciate that they certify it to be food safe.

this really worked
I have a plastic birdbath that got a crack in the bowl, and as birdbaths are so pricey (to replace this exact one would be about $50), I tried to fix it myself. Used an entire can of that spray on sealer, sprayed the bottom as I didn't want to hurt the birds, well, that stuff didn't work at all, still leaked. Then I saw this, read the reviews, saw it was fish safe at least, so, got it. I cleaned out the bowl part of the bath, let it dry and then opened up the tube. I did not use the little plastic nozzle that came with it as I felt it was too large for the hairline crack that ran across the bowl. Instead, I improvised and used one of those little plastic identification tags that are placed inside the potted plants we buy. Decided the pointed end of it would be what I needed to "trowel" the adhesive into the crack. It worked really well, I was able to use my new "tool" to spread the DAP product into the crack and slightly on either side of the crack, and level it out. I did not notice any smell from this product, which was good as I have gotten sick from glue smells before. Took me about 10 minutes to get it the way I wanted, and I let the birdbath sit in the sun for 2 days before trying to put water in it, when I did--NO LEAKS!! I let it cure one more day and then filled it with water and put it back under the butterfly bush, where the birds have been using it since! Nice to have the birdbath back again, and I hope it really doesn't hurt critters as they advertise!

Great product
Used this for a bowl I had made that I broke. It holds really well, drys clear, and was easy to use. My one warning would be that if you have extra around where you glued it, that part will peal off. But after I peaked that off it works great.

Fantastic product. Weak, breakable cap
I'm into fixing things. I have an entire (crowded) draw filled with all sorts of adhesives. This is my go-to solution. It is clear and far stronger than expected. However DAP needs to put a new better top on this tube, as this one invariably splits. C'mon, DAP, spend an extra 1/4 cent and improve that aspect of an otherwise terrific product!

Works decent, but would pay double for a cap for the nozzle...
It comes with a nozzle you can clip to dispense the product- but no way to cap it, or clean it. So plan on it being one time use, unless you don't need to use the nozzle. Pros: * Turns into clear silicone * Didn't blow out the back from pressure, like some other reviews Cons: * No cap for the nozzle (so one time use if using nozzle) * Very sharp/ acetic acid smelling when applying * Didn't stick to 1/2" black rainbird tubing I was trying to use it to create a water tight gasket around a tube for hydroponics. I waited 24hrs, and the tube pulled right out, but the silicone stayed in place. So I'm going to try sand papering the tube some and try again, and hope it sticks to it (it's the 1/2 black outside irrigation tubing). I'm going to also try rubber grommets instead, but this would be cheaper and more versatile if I can get it to work.

It says FOOD SAFE on the front of the package - I used it on acrylic and it worked great. Holding 2 pieces together well
This could not be easier. It says FOOD SAFE on the front of the package. I had an acrylic serving dish that needed a fix. It had broken into 3 pieces, and one piece had to be reattached completely- Imagine a circle broken in two, with a tube coming out. It fixed it right up. It's visible that it was fixed, but it is nice and stable and usable and holding fine. No water is leaking through the repair- and the vessel's primary purpose is to dispense beverages. Just snip the tip, it comes out a bit thick, like a thick silicone gel, and hold it into place for 5 minutes. Then, it needs to harden for 24 hours. I followed the directions and I'm very pleased with the results. I would use it again. It was more than enough for my project.

works great with ceramics, silly tube
This stuff is great, smells like vinegar weirdly, and it does leave a residue if you don't clean it carefully. I repaired a dropped hand made ceramic mug that broke into 3 large pieces. You can barely see the seams, however I was paranoid about leaks so I caked it on. Supposedly it can withstand dishwashing and microwaving, but haven't been that bold. It is non toxic and has a long cure time which is nice. I also repaired a garden gnome and used just enough and it turned out great. This stuff will have a permanent spot in my toolbox (and not because it leaked lol). The nozzle it comes with kind of sucks to clean though, so removed a star for that. update - still love this stuff, but the tube it comes in is terrible. I have to poke holes in it to get any out. Tube needs to be rethought, as in my experiences only is usable 3-4 times tops, unless you poke holes in the side which happen to reseal afterwards which is handy.

All good so far
Used this to glue the washer to a jumper plate in a tap - the retaining screw at the base of the jumper plate had sheared off so nothing much was holding it in place. Seems to have done the job - tap is working well - only time will tell if it has staying power.

Good Silicone Sealant
I have used this for various things that couldn't be glued or sealed with a hot glue gun, things that heat up or flex a bit too much, for example. Recently I used it to seal up a kayak paddle so it would no longer gradually accumulate water inside the shaft, which worked great. This is the adhesive that I will be using to secure the heater wires to the underside of my 3D printer's heated bed as a form of heatproof strain relief.

Worked great on broken dish
Did an excellent job adhering and sealing a china bowl that had cleanly broken into two pieces. There are very few options that microwave and dishwasher safe like this product.
