Mostly Solid Kitchen Faucet

The Danze D454058 kitchen faucet is a bit of an oddity to me as the majority of it is of very high build quality, but the manufacturer seems to have mismatched it with a cheap-looking plastic spray head that clearly doesn't match the rest of its high-quality hardware. First off, installation of the unit was quite simple. The instructions mainly consist of drawings that show how the various parts are connected without going into a lot of written detail. Fortunately, the unit is designed simply enough so that you really do not need any previous knowledge of plumbing fixtures or special directions to get the unit installed and running in roughly 30 minutes or so. Once installed the unit works pretty much flawlessly. It is very nice looking for the most part and matches my stainless steel sink quite well. Adjusting the temperature is a simple one-handed operation and the faucet takes up a minimum of space. The sprayer extension seems to work well so far. It would be nice if the sprayer button did not have to be held down the entire time you are using it though. Obviously, the weak link in the chain here is the sprayer head, which is plastic with some sort of chrome finish sprayed on. It does not mismatch the look of the rest of the unit when first installed, but over time plastic parts wear out much faster than metal ones do and their finish fades differently. Considering the price, I am not really sure why they cheaped-out on this single part of the faucet, but it is a bit of a disappointment for something in this price range. Otherwise, it is a very solid piece of equipment that looks to last longer than most of the rest of the fixtures and appliances in my kitchen.

Danze Kitchen Faucet

Excellent quality, the movement for water control is smooth and the finish is excellent. The height of the faucet will clear deep kitchenware with ease. The only thing that I would knock off a star for is the spray attachment. Not sure why they would have produced a quality faucet with a plastic chrome spray attachment. Also note that the spray button doesn't lock so spraying to clean a big item is a two handed job. The spray end is not the same quality as the entire unit and is obviously plastic (the edges are sharp not smooth/rounded like the metal parts). At this price point I would have expected better quality. This is not a deal breaker, but the quality of the finish on the sprayer could have been better. Overall the unit is excellent, the sprayer retracts with ease and the water control is smooth. The chrome finish on all the metal parts is flawless and installation was easy. The unit has been installed a week and I will post an update if I find any problems with the sprayer - durability, scratches from use, peeling etc. Update 3 Months: The sprayer head is starting to have problems with getting stuck in spray mode. It requires that the faucet is turned off and then pushing the spray button repeatedly hoping it will get back into faucet mode. This happens about 30% of the time. I am reducing this to a 2 star from 4 since the unit is not very robust. Everything else about this faucet is excellent but the spray head function is poor. Update 6 Months: The sprayer head is now stuck on spray mode. No amount of fiddling with the select button will get it back to normal stream mode. Purchasing a replacement faucet and taking this unit out and discarding it. Downgraded to 1 star - I cannot recommend purchasing this model.

Danze D454058 Modern Parma Cafe Pull-Down Kitchen Faucet with Snapback Retraction, Chrome is a well designed, constructed, chrome finished, modern art work. Faucet features single handle to adjust hot, warm, and cold water flow. Pull down handle retracts back due to heavy weight that attaches to the hose and gravity pulls the weight down when let go and snaps in place. Installation is very easy with two bolts with rubber washer and metal guide plate for bolts. Water sources installation is easy with adjustable wrench where similar outlet fixtures are pre-installed. It recommends not to directly connect the refrigerator water inlet to faucet's water supply, stating it voids warranty and this part confused me but I think there should be separate water supply pipe since water pipe fitting is small and narrow for faucet compare to traditional faucet water supply line. Danze Modern Parma Cafe faucet is for modern life in apartment, and high rise building with water supply pressure that is limited, thus, narrow supply water lines are pre-installed at units and allows faucet to provide strong water flow due to its water supply tubes that connects tightly to supply line outlet.

Sleek, Beautiful Kitchen Faucet

This is a sleek, beautiful gooseneck faucet that we like a lot. It has a flawless, super shiny finish, and it seems to be well-made, too. Reading the instructions and installing this faucet took me a total of about 45 minutes. Installing it was fairly straightforward, and I didn’t run into any unforeseen complications. I ordered this faucet to replace a very expensive Grohe faucet that was getting quite old, and while I don’t think the quality of this faucet quite matches the quality of the high-end Grohe faucets, it’s not too far behind. To date this faucet has been working well, and we have not had any issues with it. But, of course, something can go wrong with a faucet at any time and without notice. And if we have any problems with it in the first couple of years or so, I will certainly update this review and let you know about it.
