Fit perfectly

The drain measured ID 1-3/8 bought one that size and actually measured smaller. Found this figger get bigger in case the same thing happens and measures smaller. Guess what it did. So in reality this is 1-3/8th not the size shown.

A bunch of little issues...

There isn't one glaring flaw, but a bunch of little issues that make it rated how it is. First off, it's not made in USA. Why not? Because it would be $1 more expensive? Because the CEO can get an extra bonus off shoring its production? Not happy with that. It says that it is metal construction. The container says nothing. So is it stainless, or something else?? The center piece seems different from the basket, but hopefully it is a proper alloy to prevent rusting in a wet environment. Given that the center pull up piece is somehow welded or compression fitted in, removal would reupquire drilling out and/or damaging the whole thing, so hopefully it's all corrosion resistant. The item is 1 7/8". Well, so is my bathtub drain opening, and I measured twice. This item is just barely 1 7/8" diameter at the outermost edge, with the actual "barrel" of the strainer being much smaller in diameter. Thus the actual cross section of the strainer itself is a good deal smaller. Thus I'm not exactly sure how one would measure for application of this,,, obviously a drain that is 1 7/8" diameter needs a larger one... Which leads to the other issue... This was an "add-on" item, meaning it only can be ordered in addition to $25 other stuff. But they shipped it separate, and I got it before the rest of my order in a different envelope. But now I have an item which is of no use to me, doesn't fit, but which would cost more to return by mail then I paid. Yet I can't seem to find these in the right size in a brick and mortar store...

Best thing ever for folks with long hair

This fit perfect in our shower, with three females with extra long hair (down to our butts) this holds the hair so that it doesn't go down the drain and helps prevent a clogged pipe in the future. Love the small center pull tab for an easy lift!

Its not the size described, but i knew that going in and just hoped for the best. Works perfectly in my normal american tub drain from like 10 -20 years ago. I already threw away the package and dont rememver the dimensions, sorry.

Tub Strainer

It replaced a very OLD one, gosh what a difference. This one is bright, clean and well made which makes it so sturdy. So glad I bought it. If you need one like this, buy with confidence.

Incorrect size!

The item description has this item as 1 7/8” diameter, but the product that arrived is 1 9/16”. The manufacturer’s part number is correct but the size is not accurate. Needless to say, this is too small for my drain.

Cup works great for a drain that has an opening of 1-3/4-Inches The dimension of 1-7/8-Inch must be for the upper lip that catches the sides of the drain opening and prevents it from falling into the drain. It catches a LOT of hair, but still allows the water to drain. The center post makes it easy to pull it out to empty the hair.
