Not for Individuals with Preexisting Physical Medical Conditions
I am never entirely sure how to review products that are fine in and of themselves, but don't work for me personally. I bought this pillow because I saw an ENT and he told me to sleep elevated to treat my acid reflux. When I searched the internet for how I should raise my bed, I couldn't find anything that said how to do it or how high except for these pillows. So I bought one. The pillow itself is fine. It really is a pillow; I originally thought that I would put it under my mattress, but I don't think that would be feasible. It is firm but comfortable and appears to be made of a quality material. I actually was able to fall asleep on it every night I slept on it, and I have sleep issues. My bigger issue was that I have other preexisting chronic medical conditions, and sleeping on this pillow exacerbated a lot of them. I had really bad fibromyalgia/myofascial pain symptoms from sleeping on this pillow. I have bad hips, and the wedge ends about at hip level. I think that my right hip is permanently worse for the about week or two that I slept on this thing. So, I would say that if you have preexisting medical conditions of a similar nature, this product is probably not for you. I did have to increase my star rating, however, because I appreciate good customer service. The company was willing to give me a full refund with no issue just because this product was not a good fit for me, and I definitely appreciate that fact. To me, a company that is willing to work with you until they make you happy is more important than getting lucky and getting the right product for you the first time, and this company had great customer service. I can't say that the pillow itself was 4 stars, but if I was rating the customer service alone, it would be 5 stars.

Great customer service & high quality
Not sure what happened to my previous review. It is currently July 20th, 2020. I ordered this wedge March 9th, 2018. I originally received a defective product. After opening it up immediately upon arrival and waiting 2-3 weeks for the wedge to rise and take shape it remained flattened and warped. Directly contacted the company kindly explaining the issue and providing photographic evidence to which they offered a free replacement with no return necessary for the deformed product. The replacement arrived quickly and took shape immediately after it was removed from the packaging. After 2 years of sleeping on this wedge as a 5’3 240lb individual I can safely say the wedge holds up really well. There is very little indentation in the wedge to date and I would definitely recommend this product. I originally heard good reviews about their customer service when I was deciding which wedge to buy and I am happy to confirm they have excellent customer service and a high quality product that will hold up for years to come.

Revolutionized my sleep experience.
This is SUPER awesome and the price I paid for it on Amazon was a big bargain. It is about 100 times nicer than the other bed wedges I looked at. I like that the cover can be removed and washed if that ever becomes necessary. The cover is a beautiful very soft deep grey velour that nicely complements my bedroom decor (black sheets and pillowcases, etc). The bed wedge is a new concept to me, a coworker recommended it to me because we both suffere from year round allergies that cause a lot of sinus drainage and don't respond to allergy medication. Having the head elevated when sleeping keeps the stuff my sinuses produce while I'm asleep from accumulating in my nose and waking me up all night long on bad allergy nights. I would say I sleep much better and snore less with this bed wedge because if things keep flowing, my nose doesn't get stuffed up so I'm not mouth breathing while I sleep. It's nice for waking times too, reading in bed or being on my laptop. I sometimes am a side sleeper and it has enough give to it that it works fine for side sleeping, too. It is firm enough to do the job and doesn't flatten out while you're sleeping on it like some similar items that I read Amazon reviews about are reported to do. Yet it's not too hard and it's not uncomfortable. I highly recommend this item to anyone who needs their head elevated while sleeping for any reason. A plus!

The reason I'm sleeping better!
I had been waking up with severe neck and back pain, but found relief when I propped up a bit while sleeping. However, it was hard to get situated comfortably using standard pillows, so I decided to try out the Z Wedge. It's a gentle incline, which props up just enough that I sleep through the night and wake up pain-free. Because it's not a thick wedge, I'm still able to use my normal pillow on top of it, and sleep on my back or side without being in an uncomfortable position either way. Also, it doesn't introduce a barrier between me and my wife, who doesn't prop up at all. All that being said, if you're looking for a steep wedge to prop up quite a bit, you may want to look elsewhere. The product images do provide a reasonable representation of what you get, so it's pretty easy to gauge. The cover has a nice feel to it, but since I'm still using a pillow on top of the wedge, this wasn't a very important feature. Quality seems to be very good so far; will have to see how it holds up, but it's good enough that I don't expect to have any problems in the future.

Great at preventing snoring! But not so much help with acid reflux
I originally purchased this pillow to help with my acid reflux but it was too firm for me and I kept slipping down the pillow throughout the night. I thought I had wasted my money but then my fiancé tried it out and we found that this pillow works wonders at reducing his snoring! Which was a pleasant surprise because he’s usually an extremely loud snorer! Without this pillow, I can hear his snoring even while wearing earplugs and would wake up in the middle of the night several times because of his snoring. But after he started sleeping with this wedge pillow, his snoring has decreased dramatically and I can now sleep through the night, even without earplugs! He has higher tolerance for firm pillows than I do, and finds it perfectly comfortable to use every night. I’m glad this expensive pillow didn’t go to waste, however I wish it would’ve helped me with my gerd/acid reflux.

Malouf "Z" cushion.
The Malouf "Z" cushion was my choice after reading other user's reviews on the various types available. My wife and I are both elderly people who suffer from the occasional bout of acid reflux when trying to get a good night's sleep. This pillow really does do the job of helping prevent reflux problems. When the cushions arrived, (we bought two,) they were tightly rolled up in plastic bags. On taking them out, we were dismayed to find them apparently flat, and with no indication as for what to expect. We need not have worried, it is just a matter of laying the cushions out flat on the bed for approximately 12 hours, and when we went to retire, they had, (to our surprise,) resumed the shape exactly as shown in the picture displayed with this product description. They seem to be made from quality materials, and with a 3 year guarantee, what more can one want. Good value. It had appeared that they would not resume their original shape from the first impression, but they did reform, and are now very supportive and do the job they were intended to extremely well.

Trying to keep the comment clean but that apparently isn't possible in this case. Ladies you will appreciate this - The product isn't exactly as advertised. The product doesn't expand to seven inches after unpackaging and isn't as firm as depicted. I suspect that due to either the material types or the packaging technique that you would need to assume that any product from this manufacturer is going to be about 10-15% less than what is stated. Beyond that - it is supportive and doesn't depress that much with overnight usage.

Great product for reading in bed and acid reflux. Arrived with a bad smell, but it was gone in a few days. Expensive so I hope it lasts a long time. I use it with a small neck-supporting pillow.

I would recommend this pillow
Bought this for my son. It came all squished up for packaging but after 3-4 hrs. it was back to the shape it was suppose to be. My son uses it every night with ease and comfort. I would recommend this pillow.

Comfortable pillow. A must buy.
I fine this very comfortable to have my head up when I'm sleeping. It helps his acid reflux and hopefully my snoring.
