Hooked up with no problems

Relatively easy install given the number of clips/nuts and panels that need to be removed to gain access to the wiring harness that it plugs into on each side. I didn't pay close enough attention to the details to note that it is a 4 pin connector, so does not have a connection for reverse lights (which I have on the back of my trailers hitch mounted rack). I'm hoping I can find the line to the backup lights for the needed fifth pin connection since the lights themselves are both mounted in the hatch lid. Once I find that I'll tag into it for a relay signal to turn on the trailer mounted lights with power directly from a fused line to the battery.

Easy Install and Works Great!

When I first bought my 2011 Nissan Murano, I knew immediately that I needed a hitch, and really wanted a wiring harness with it as well so I could tow our pop-up camper for short/nearby camping trips. Problem was, Nissan wanted almost $600 to install a "factory" hitch and wiring harness. So, I immediately bought a "hidden hitch" for $115 and installed it with ease, but did not add the harness until recently because I didn't want to have to run a wire under the car from the back to the battery. The Curt T-Connector solves the wire-to-the-battery problem and installs with ease. I'm not exactly Johnny Fix It, so I just took my time, watched a youtube vid on how to do the install and followed along with the supplied instructions. Installation took about 1.5 hours total (again, I took my time because I didn't want to break a clip or scratch the interior or exterior of the car). Mission accomplished - everything went perfectly. I hooked up our pop-up camper today and brought it home - all lights worked perfectly, and the 10 amp fuse had no problems at all. So, for around $175, I was able to install a system that's "almost" as good as the factory version. I say "almost" because the factory wiring harness is attached to the hitch, but the Curt rests inside your spare tire compartment and hangs out the back of the car when being used. That's the only knock I have on the product, but it's something I can live with since I won't be using it all of the time. Great product, easy install, works as advertised, and saves a ton of money vs. a factory install. Highly recommend.

Highly recommend this t-Connector - Exact fit and integration with OEM wiring!!

Ordered this T-Connector harness for my 03 Nissan Murano and it worked perfectly. The excellent instructions guided me through each step of the installation and were dead on accurate for my vehicle. This unit has the exact OEM Nissan connectors that snap in place tight and secure. Install time was around 20 minutes... There is also a step by step installation guide video on the Tube for those that need more visual instruction. Plugged in my trailer lights and all is good! The matching CURT 13571 Class III Receiver from Amazon is arriving tomorrow... Dealer wanted north of $500 for the parts and installation / Amazon price for both parts $175 with free 2-day Prime shipping!! NOTE: The T-Connector that is pictured shows rubber tubing with a grommet installed on the trailer wiring. This is not on the revised and updated unit I received. It is kind of overkill since the 4 prong plug is protected at the connection and comes with a weather boot. Very satisfied with my purchase

Easy to install

I agree with another user that it doesn't arrive as pictured. There is no grommet and tubing. However, per the instructions the connecter is supposed to be run under the tailgate or hatch when in use. That being said you don't these parts if you use it according to manufactures guidelines. I have a 2012 Nissan Murano and the installation was a breeze. It took about 15 mins for me to install and was extremely easy. The only thing that bothered me and reason for getting 4 stars in that it came with the wrong fuse. They supply a 10amp mini fuse and the vehicle uses a low profile. I went to the local parts store and purchased the correct fuse. Not a huge deal but it would have been nice to have the correct part.

Easy plug and play

I am happy with the product in general, nice that its a direct clip in unit. The instructions were good but I had to remove extra panels and do alot of "work by feel" due to no vision and short factory harness wires. Once installed and wires cleaned up everything went back together as it should and lights worked. There are full how to install video's available on Google with a quick search.

Very happy about the no cutting/splicing of wires. Everything connected very well. Would buy another kit from Curt. Took about 1.5 hrs start to finish with a few beverages in between.

Simple install

Vehicle specific light adapter, fit & works perfect. Instructions good but also U-Tube videos make install easy.
