Where have you been all my life?
Never had a stand mixer although my mom has had them for many years (but she bakes a lot more than I do). I finally decided I wanted one and looked at a lot of different models on Amazon. I actually wanted a different model & brand — mostly because of the color & it had excellent reviews…..BUT it was more than double the price of this model AND the watts were 35% LESS than this one — so I just couldn’t justify LESS power and twice+ the cost!!! Well, I could not be HAPPIER with this purchase!!! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS MIXER! I literally pulled it out of the box, washed the accessories, read what I needed to know from the “quick start” instructions and was up and running in 1/2 hour — and made two birthday cakes. EASY-PEEZY!!! And it’s striking — a vintage look with shiny black onyx finish. It looks great out on the counter! SO HAPPY WITH THIS MIXER — of course, I’m a weekend cook and only use it for light stuff. Anxious to try the dough attachment and see how it does. Regardless, I highly recommend this mixer !

Good cost effective option
So I had to replace my kitchen aid because it sort of gave up. I spent about 7 months looking for a replacement because I didn't want to waste my money. I bake bread mostly, so I needed something solid, cost effective and powerful enough to handle tougher things than cakes and cookies. This mixer ticks those boxes for sure. I've received many compliments on the color as well. All in all I'd say use it a few times before giving your final opinion, but I've had a good experience with it so far.

Don’t buy a kitchen aid, buy this!
My husband and I wanted a standing mixer for so long and then found this “dupe” to kitchen aid. So worth it! I love it! Works just the same and is even better because it’s so much cheaper!

Surprisingly beats my old Kitchen Aid!
I LOVE this thing. I had a Kitchen Aid Artisan for 19 years, a first wedding present. It finally bit the dust. Now I'm middle age adjacent, have RA etc... and the lighter weight metal housing makes it so much easier to move around. Only the "chrome" is plastic. It beats the pants off the KA for making and kneading bread, and have found that it whips cream and eggs beautifully. Other reviews warning of problems with not getting all of the ingredients mixed confuse me as I've had no trouble and little need for scraping, much less than with my coveted KA... I think it might come down to technique and recipe on these things. In short, it's been a workhorse. It is THE mixer to get if you bake bread regularly. Hand kneading is over. It does hop a bit if you don't have it on a steady counter during kneading. Worth it for being able to lift it. I love the locking mechanism for raising and lowering the head, no more smashed fingers and suddenly slamming down unexpectedly. That alone is enough to make up for the single tiny flaw. The plastichrome magnetic plate housing covering the attachment mechanism can pop off if you bump it hard enough or grab the front of the mixer when moving it. A bit of painter's tape solves that without leaving residue and peels back easily when you want, so if you use attachments often and are prone to clumsiness, there's your solution. As I said, tiny flaw. I won't go back to a Kitchen Aid, and I was a diehard fan. I bought this because of finances. But it has more power, the easy dial doesn't hurt my fingers, the smooth start keeps ingredients from flying out everywhere, it has more speeds, a lighter weight, more safety precautions, and you aren't paying overinflated prices for branding. KA has done little to innovate... in the 19 years since I got my very own first mixer they have ...added colors to that model, and an attachment or two. This machine however steps into the 21st century.

Makes dough beautifully!!
Hasn’t failed me yet. I love the sleek look. I’ve used this to make dough and it works like a charm. Would recommend to anyone who needs a mixer.

More Pink than Coral
Totally worth 179. For anyone like me who is not a fan of pink - maybe avoid this color. It says blush coral but is definitely pink. If it weren't so heavy and such a pain to exchange for mint green I would do it. Works great! Made cake, meringue cookies, frosting, cupcakes, whipped cream, and lemon meringue pie. Have yet to see how it does with heavier texture items like doughs.

Beautiful Pink!
She’s a beautiful shiny 60’s pink! So I named her “Betty”. She’s so quiet and works like a dream! I can’t believe I waited so long for to buy a stand mixer. I love her! Don’t hesitate to buy a Cuisinart.

BigStepUp
This appliance is a huge step up from our old 2 beater mixers. It was well packaged and undamaged upon receipt. It appears to be a quality item; solidly built and heavy enough to stay still in use, but not too heavy to move when needed. The controls feel solid and attachments fit snugly. Although it purely an esthetic issue, the blue light ring around the speed control looks pretty cool when the mixer is turned on. Some have noted that theirs had excessive clearance between the mixing head and bowl which needed adjustment, but right out of the box ours did not have that issue. Initially there is more fluid at the bottom of the bowl, but it doesn’t take more than a minute for that to be picked up and thoroughly mixed into the dough/batter. We were pleased to find that it cleans the sides of the bowl as well as the bottom, so a spatula is no longer required to keep all of the contents mixed well. We haven’t timed it, but it also seems to thoroughly mix things faster than we are used to. The only negative to us is that the whisk, the most difficult item to wash, requires hand washing. We considered other mixers which were less expensive and another which was more expensive, but for our needs this Cuisinart seems to be almost perfect.

One of my least regretted purchases from Amazon. A great product!
I was initially in the market for a Kitchen Aid stand mixer, but after waiting weeks for a model I had ordered, I was unceremoniously informed by Amazon, that Kitchen Aid could not deliver. I was initially deeply disappointed. Then, not one to dwell on past mistakes, I opted instead to order a Cuisinart Stand Mixer and what a happy decision that turned out to be. The Cuisinart arrived quickly, in mint condition. It is solidly built and nicely designed and looks great on my counter top. It is very simple to use and clean and very powerful. I have used it a few times to mix bread dough, which is the primary reason I ordered it, and it does this masterfully with power to spare. I have only owned this item for a month or so, so I cannot speak to its long term durability, but so far, so good. I am very happy with my Cuisinart Stand Mixer.

Solid mixer for the price
I've gotten a lot of use out of this mixer and overall I've been pleased with it. I have two main complaints though: 1) the standard paddle attachment doesn't reach into the bowl deep enough, so you have to scrape down the sides of the bowl pretty often, and 2) the motor seems to struggle with denser bread doughs. Still a solid machine for amateur bakers at a reasonable price.

Great purchase
Yeah this was worth every penny. It's powerful, easy to use and the attachments and bowl are very well made. It has been put the test in our kitchen with everything from fresh bread to steam buns and cakes, muffins, cookie dough, pizza dough. We have an older model of the "competition" and this machine walks all over it. We did a side by side bread dough mixing for time and completion, this machine won hands down. Making foods in this machine is basically, toss everything in, turn it on and after a few minutes it's going into the oven. A favourite here is steamed buns that had to be fussed over. Now we make them so fast it's unbelievable. This is definitely worth the money, fast delivery and a 5 star recommendation for this machine that will make your cooking life a lot easier.

Got what I've always wanted
I've always wanted a stand mixer and I finally got my hands on one. Plenty easy to use, easy to clean and they give a nifty recipe book as well! It's got the meat grinder attachment and ice maker attachment that I'm really looking forward to buying. I have to go back to making my bread now but you have a nice day.
