Best coffee maker, hands down
Love this coffee maker! We have 3 coffee drinkers in the house that are rather...snobbish about our coffee. We like it bold and to retain it's flavor when chilled or poured over ice. This guy delivers. I was a little shocked by the price, but I have to say that the price reflects the quality when you're looking for a set it and forget it coffee maker. Pros: * Excellent coffee - you'd only get better from a drip or press * Cone filter and comes with a reusable mesh filter * Multiple settings * Kcup section for quick cups * Did I mention how good the coffee comes out? Even when using a crummy blend? *Friendly beep when done Cons: * It's big. * It does best with fine ground so you'll need a coffee bean grinder * Complex settings - you have to actually read directions It definitely is the best coffee maker we have ever had

Good coffee, two potential problems to look out for.
Taller than our old, dead machine by about 4 inches, it's difficult to fill when in position where we typically want to use it. I think this is because it also brews a larger pot than our old one, 12 cups vs. 10. So okay, but measure your space. The lid on the carafe must be used when brewing, because the machine has that "feature" that allows you to pull the pot out and pour a cup mid-brew (which ruins the rest of the pot so don't do it). But the lid comes completely off the carafe when cleaning/rinsing... leading to the opportunity to forget to put it on the pot, resulting in an overflow. I woke up this morning to a pot that was only 2/3 full and was wondering how that happened... I discovered the lid to the pot sitting to the side. Once replaced, the rest of the coffee flowed out of the filter and into the pot. THE GOOD NEWS in all of this is that somehow, the overflow still seems to have made it into the pot. I cannot spot any mess anywhere, except a bit of grounds on the underside of the top of the brewer. Our old brewer made very good coffee but had no timer function. Oh, technology! The timer is great, altho the above noted error happened late at night... is it possible I would not have been so careless if I'd waited until morning? The coffee tastes good! The brewer has a special setting for if you only are brewing a small pot. Maybe I'll try that one day. Overall I think this is a good machine. The price is right in the sweet spot. The machine doesn't have too many bells and whistles that I'll never use —although it does have a beep that signals when the coffee is ready. Talk about superfluous. I marked it down from 5 stars because it is difficult for me to fill. My upper cabinets are actually higher above the countertop than most houses, but they're still not high enough to fit the carafe in under them to pour water in the tank. Also, the carafe lid thing is going to cause some grief and woe to everyone at least once, I think. Edit 1: After a couple of weeks, I've managed to do things wrong a few more times, but that's operator error. I haven't had a programmable coffee maker before and have now learned that setting it up just before bedtime leads to more errors. I guess I was more focused and on-task when I made coffee in the morning. So now I try to prepare the machine just after dinner or before or any time I have a few minutes, rather than wait until bedtime. Edit 2: To all the people who complain about the pot dribbling as they pour, I have experienced none of that. Our old machine was a dribbly mess and pouring did always leave a stripe of coffee across the countertop. This one is nearly spotless. I still don't like filling it up, the target for pouring into is quite small, and the thing is quite tall; I need to move it to a location that's not under a bank of cabinets.

Nice size. Looks good on counter
Really liked the size and nice quality. Only thing the coffee doesn't stay hot very long in the carafe.

Works great
Great at making coffee, but throws up lights for "clean" etc that I have no clue about. The only missing feature is a visible water level.

The Best Dual Coffee Maker Ever!
OMG! This the best dual coffee maker ever! I was told to get Cusinar for their quality and durability I don't regret a minute of my recent purchase. One of The best setting is you can set up a timer to keep your coffee hot for a couple hours I just love it!! When you are in a rush and don't have time to make a fresh pot of coffee you just need to switch to the K-cup it's easy and quick to used. The only thing I would say on the K-cup side is the option 10 oz water is the max you can choose for the dual machine and it's not quite enough to fil a regular traveling mug. I think a 12-14 oz maximum option would be better. But the traveling mug fit nicely under the machine.. Overall I would recommend this Dual coffee maker 100%.

Love the Navy Blue Color and the dual compartments, but the K-cup section is problem
I love Cuisinart Products and I have owned 2 coffee makers and have lasted a few years until one of them stopped working and there are no replacement parts according to cuisinart customer service. I was happy to find a beautiful navy color and a dual coffee maker with a carafe and a K-cup sections. I was disappointment at the K-cup sharp needle. A special low acid coffee pods do not work in this coffee maker. The coffee pod gets opened on the side and the ground are sprayed all over and cleaning it is a pain. The design of the K-cup compartment should have been slanted like the old models and the metal needle piece should be thinner. I don't understand why I have to push the coffee pod first to puncture the bottom and then close the lid. The plastic of the coffee maker is of a cheap quality. Also, as some people have commented about filling the caraf compartment with water, I agree that it is too tight of a space and hard to pour the water. I was not able to attach a few pictures.

Love that it holds 12 cups
This purchase was made to replace an older model of the same make. Love that it makes good coffee for 12 and also brews well on the 1-4 setting. I wanted a coffee maker which was basically black, no stainless steel, but be aware that the black housing is entirely plastic There is a large viewing port for water capacity and the machine is easy to use. The clock is very small, but there is another model with a larger clock . I am annoyed that it drips coffee when pouring, so constantly have to wipe up spills as it dribbles on counter top.
