Is this a joke? Am I being punked?? How is this POSSIBLE?! I ordered my 1st tube of this product on Aug 3, exactly 4.5 days ago. I've used it as directed for only 2 days. To give you the full picture and to be fair, I'll tell you exactly what I did to my skin in this time. First of all, I am using this lotion on my neck and face. The only other things I did to my skin the last 2 days are as follows: On the 1st and 2nd night both, I exfoliated. First night with my old Peter Thomas Roth FirmRX Peeling Gel, and the second night with a cheap egg-white face peel that you peel off when it dries. Both were bought here on Amazon, and both products I've used for years. After exfoliating, I applied my usual pure Squalane oil, and then my usual 100% pure Hyaluronic Acid serum, both bought here on Amazon. Then I dampened my hands with water and patted my face to give the HA some moisture. After those sunk in, maybe an hour later, I applied this Gold Bond firming lotion on my full neck, left hand, and the left half of my face. Going to test it this way for the first 2 wks. Afterward, I dabbed a little Gold Bond Dark Spot Missing cream on my left cheek in a different place than this firming lotion. I went to bed the 1st night and didn't look in a mirror. I don't know how it made my skin look but I can reveal that, after an hour had passed, my left cheek and neck felt.....sticky. Like, clammy. This is NOT a lotion that will make your skin feel soft, ladies. It's not sticky in the same sense that glue or maple syrup are sticky, but you can't glide your hand over your skin smoothly. Your fingers will, like, skip across your skin, like a rubber shoe sole on a tile floor. The good news is that, once it has set in, you can rub your hand over the area where you applied it, where it feels tacky, and the lotion balls up only minimally, and only on the places where I didn't have as much serum/oil underneath the lotion. It seems to be staying put, even after rubbing it and balling it up a little, and doing SOMETHING, and that's good. I know this is long but the incredible part is coming. I got up on the 2nd day, did nothing to my skin at all. Not even a splash of water. I probably should have because, after all the things I've put on my face the last couple days, it could probably use at least a good wipe with a warm, wet washcloth. I quit washing my face with cleansers over 15 years ago. I use cold cream to remove makeup the once or twice a year I wear it. I use scrubby gloves to exfoliate my face in the shower, which leaves my face baby soft, and on the rare occasion I get a zit, I use comedone extractors and Murad Spot Treatment. I moisturize at night when I remember to. And that's it. Anyway, I applied this firming lotion again when I got up, on my neck, left cheek, and left hand. And here's the incredible thing!!! With the blinds open and sunlight streaming in four windows, I could NOT stop looking at my two hands next to each other! The first time I thought to hold them up and look at them side by side, to compare, I couldn't believe what I was seeing. The other reviews I saw here that said they'd seen results in 2 days, I thought were absolutely ridiculous. It's not possible for ANY product to work that fast, if at all, and I don't have a lot of faith that ANY topical drugstore product can really do much of anything to change the face, especially forming or lifting. I laugh at the Crepe Erase commercials, lol. And I know a little about this stuff because I made and sold a line of skincare products for many years, and had to intimately study all the most common ingredients used in the retail skincare industry. In 16 years, I've never come across, used, or even heard of anything that does what this cheap little lotion was doing to the back of my left hand! The backs of my hands look like they belong to 2 different people, folks. And it isn't that my left hand is just disguised under an oily or wet lotion that has it temporarily moisturized. As I write this, my left hand is dry as sand but it STILL looks different than my right hand. Just from the application 12+ hours ago, and the 2nd application about 5 hours ago, and perhaps from yesterday's applications. I'm telling you guys, there's about a ten year difference in appearance of my two hands. I took about 10 photos of my hands but it was hard to get the difference to register on the camera and in this dark room. (It's the middle of the night.) I still don't think this cheap little lotion can fix any of the sagging on my almost-50- year-old face or my first hint of Turkey neck but it can't hurt to use it anyway. I'll look in the mirror and analyze things in 2 wks when the tube says 97% of users saw firmer skin. I'll update then! For now, I'm BLOWN AWAY based on my hands alone!!!
