Good For Sensitive Skin
This past winter was pretty rough on my skin so I’ve been on the hunt for a moisturizer that wouldn’t upset my very sensitive skin and would feel nice under my make up. There were plenty of good options on Amazon so I really narrowed it down to moisturizers that had amazing reviews and I ended up choosing this one. I really had no idea if it would work for me because of my sensitive skin but I’m happy to say that so far it’s been amazing. I’ve been using it for a few days but the fact that it hasn’t upset my skin once is a really good sign. I love the scent and you really only need a small amount of product. A little goes a long way! At first I thought the product was way too small for the price but with only needing a small amount it should last a long time. I’m so happy the first moisturizer I tried ended up being just what I needed. It’s perfect for sensitive skin and wearing under make up! I’d definitely recommend this.

Effective!
I am nearing 60 with olive skin, and large pores on my face. I've had an oily face practically all my life with shine in the T zone until around 45. Therefore, to me, face moisturizer was the last thing I wanted to use on my face, especially creams because they are way too heavy. In the last 15 years, I would use oil free serums and somewhat creamy gels to moisturize. My regimen is more like, whenever I feel like taking care of my face. Not regular at all. Now, I still get a light oil all over my face, except I actually have dry patches on my cheeks and outer brow bones. Dry patches....such a foreign thing for me. My face has only fine lines and fine wrinkles, except the worry lines are getting a bit deeper, but I think the oil in my skin has actually slowed the aging process, for which I consider myself so lucky and I am very grateful!! So needing a new face moisturizer, I turned to Alba first. I did research other options, only to buy from Alba in the end, unsurprisingly. This cream is very light and not oily at all! I received it yesterday and after using Alba's pore refining face wash for the first time, I applied this moisturizer. This morning, my skin is still soft and dewy, not oily at all, and it did not clog my pores!! The scent is lovely, light and airy! I also used it on my arms and the back of my hands and fingers. They are so soft and the fine wrinkles at the wrist and on my fingers are reduced greatly! I am so happy with this moisturizer. It is well worth the money!! I can't wait to see it's full benefits long term!!

Nice Moisturizing Cream
I just started using this with their facial cleanser. I have sensitive skin and it works well. I've not had a reaction or burning feeling on my skin. The scent is just ok but that won't keep me from ordering it again.

I love this
Ive been using this for years. I have dry skin. This moisturizer is amazing, not greasy or oily, lightweight, wears very well under makeup. Smells nice but not strong. A FAVE in my skincare routine.

Wonderful daily evening cream
Very lovely for my end of day routine. Not greasy/oily and smells nice! Might not recommend for my fellow sensitive skin folks, as it stings a bit, but I haven’t had real/long lasting irritation from it.

Great product. Getting too expensive.
I love this moisturizer. It's light but moisturizes sufficiently. It is cooling, which is especially great in summer. And the scent is very light and pleasant. This has been my daily face moisturizer for probably a decade now. I do supplement it with the thicker Jasmine and Vitamin E moisturizer from the same brand in the dry winter months. Of late, this brand is getting quite expensive though. I am therefore looking for another moisturizer to replace this.

The best affordable face cream
I’ve used face creams that cost $50, $75, and up, and this one is my favorite. The ingredients are non-toxic and my face feels amazing after I use it twice a day. It doesn’t clog my pores and also stays on all day/all night.

I used to use an oil based moisturizer and it caused me to have massive pores and black head's on my face Now i have tiny pores on my face and they are going away.

Really good for sensitive skin.
I have quite bad sensitive skin, and have found this has helped with it quite a bit with my skin redness. I also used to get really bad crow’s feet and have very oily skin and this moisturiser dries perfectly where my skin doesn’t look oily, and the crow’s feet have disappeared. Love it!

Good for oily sensitive skin
I've always suffered with oily skin, however as I'm getting older, my skin has become increasingly sensitive. My first impression of this moisturizer is that it's helped soothe my skin, but it also doesn't leave my face too oily. So far I am very pleased!

Misleading Title
The main headline of the product states 100g, at a quick glance seems great but the actual product is only 85g, this was very misleading as I was expecting more product.

What’s the “scents” of this smelly review?
(Alba Botanicals hyaluronic acid cruelty-free face gel) Each time I buy this, I notice the many questions asking about the scent, and even more answers lol. For the smell-curious, here is a detailed take on the scent (without using ingredient list/only smelling the product as a reference): Upon first whiff are heavy notes of glycerine, and an ever-so-slight baby powder undertone. An intriguingly clean scent, almost reminiscent of a diluted, yet fresher version of Pond’s sensitive skin cold cream. Then the acidic/astringent fruity smell—imagine the way guava or unripe mango smells: naturally chemically/pine-like (or something?). And to narrow down a fruit scent of the moisturizer, I’d go with lychee/pineapple/papaya? There’s a definite floral note here. It’s faint, though. And not at all like “overpowering rosebush”, but more of a tea-like flower. My first smell-instincts definitely say jasmine. Maybe chamomile. Could be lavender. Lastly, the green plant-like scents emerge. When applied, the product disperses across the skin, as does the scent. The fumes don’t linger like a heavy lotion does, and it smells lighter and fainter than when in the jar. When wet on the skin, it reminds me of bamboo and cucumber. As it’s dry/almost dry, it’s almost sugary or slightly candy. (Scent mileage should vary at this point, due to individual body chemistry, type of toner worn underneath it, occlusive worn overtop, etc.). All in all, the scent is not “strong” per se, but it absolutely IS a scented product. Note that listed within the ingredients, there are fragrance (parfum), limonene, and linalool, which people with hypersensitive or compromised skin often react to. Those ingredients in particular are also known to be skin-sensitizers over time. (As a side note, I hope Alba Botanicals will one day offer this particular product with no artificial scents/perfumes.) Full disclosure: I have been a regular consumer of this product for 3+ years, and just returned it for the first time. The consistency and smell was different when it arrived, but I gave it a whirl, and it caused adverse effects to my face skin. It was shipped/handled in the holiday rush in the dead of winter, so I do wonder if just something with this caused spoilage (as opposed to a company formula change or a “bad batch”, etc.).. I love this cruelty-free brand and love this product, and have never had issues with inconsistency until now. Very curious if anyone else has experienced this, and really hope anyone will share a review if they have. Thanks! ????????
