Fun for boys or girls! As others have said, if your kid really likes a specific color then it may run out…there is very little of each color. Fun project, but it’s a quick one…this took my 9 year old niece about 10 minutes total to complete, and that included taking it out of the packaging, setting up and painting it. Great project idea for babysitters. Would also make a great stocking stuffer type gift. ????????

Fun, quick art project
This was a nice easy art project to occupy a little time. The designs made the kids so happy that somebody managed to open it up and throw the directions away before I could even look at them, so we had to wing it a bit. We applied the paint to the suncatcher directly on the plastic backing it came on. It seemed like it wasn't going to dry so I was afraid we did something wrong, but we gave it a little over 24 hours and it did work perfectly. We were able to peel the suncatcher off and stick it directly to the window. The tubes of paint are easy for the kids to use until they get really low, which is typical of any tube paints I have tried. Initially we were disappointed that the paint did not appear very glittery, but luckily more of the sparkly appearance showed up when it dried. The one difficult part is rationing the paint to use the right amount for both suncatchers. As kids tend to do, she used too much paint on the first one and barely had enough to cover the second one. That's on me for not supervising though, so I don't blame the product there. Also, as kids do, there was a fair amount of paint on my table. I got to it right away, while it was still wet, and it came off very easily. Overall, I would say this was a loved craft. It was easy to do and didn't take a very long time to complete. I think it would be a great gift for kids, especially if they love sparkly things. I would purchase this again.

Fill with paint, peel plastic off when dry
These are basically foam shapes that are adhered to clear plastic. The kit includes 4 “paint pens” that you use to fill up the empty areas with paint. Once dry, you can peel the clear plastic off the back and hang your design in the window. The only negative I see is they encourage you to use all the colors…as there is not enough paint to do only one color (some kids might want that). Then again, you don’t really want “extra” paint in the hands of any 7 year old, so I kind of get it. I’ll update if there is anything to add, once my unicorn-loving grandchild completes these.
