Large, beautiful, rustic, impressive
I am so happily surprised with the size and beauty of this handmade ceramic ginger jar. It is large and gorgeous. The glazing has a rustic, free-form style to it in natural in shades of bronze, cream, tan and brown, with a touch of mottled blue-gray in the background of the cream area. The blue is comes across as gray in my photos, but there is definitely some blue in there. The darker brown areas toward the top I am referring to as bronze in color, because the glaze in that area has a beautiful metallic sheen that just doesn't come across in my photos. The metallic glaze is lovely with a subtle sparkle. This ginger jar is just beautiful and adds so much texture to my decor as well as the lovely natural colors and mottled pattern from the reactive glaze (I love basically anything with reactive glaze). The textures on this piece range from smooth on top to slightly bump in the middle to a sandy texture toward the bottom. The very bottom of the piece has four small foam sticker "feet" to protect whatever surface you place this jar on. They are quite small and thin so if you are placing this on an especially delicate or easily scratched surface, you may want to replace them with slightly larger or thicker ones. I was surprised at the generous size of this ginger jar. The seller's dimensions are correct at approximately 13 inches tall and 8.5 inches across (mine is about 9 inches across). In my mind this didn't sound very big, but when the jar arrived I realized just how impressively sized it is. It would make a lovely table lamp base if you have that know-how. It would also look beautiful with the top removed and used as a vase for pampas grass tufts of some other type of plant or casual floral arrangement. I have gotten several other decor items from Creative Co-op and have been happy with all of them. They seem to specialize in handcrafted pieces made from natural materials that can warm up a home with plenty of color and natural texture. This ginger jar is no exception. I love its size, textures, colors, casual elegance and perfect imperfections.

Bigger then expected
I originally didn't look at the measurements to see how big it was but it definitely took me by surprise on how large it actually is. I love the size since it helps with it's versatility since it has a large amount of storage. I also like the design and neutral color pallet making it easy to match with any decor you may have at home

Beautiful decor
Wasn’t sure what to do with this at first.. but just leaving it on a table on its own was good enough! Very attractive looking and a good size

Unique and so beautiful
My first reaction was "Wow, this is a lot larger than I was expecting.." but quickly that surprise turned to how beautiful it is. Even my husband, who could really care less about home decor, mentioned something out of the blue about how nice it is. I was just going to leave it the way it is on the floor in my living room, however, after looking at it for days, I decided to use it as a vase for Red Eucalyptus and maybe some Pampas Grass. It's just such a beautiful piece that I think using as a vase would make it somewhat more of a focal point in the room. Gorgeous stoneware jar. Very happy with this.

LARGER THAN ANTICIPATED, ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL PIECE
This is a great example of a glazed stoneware. It is quite a bit larger than anticipated (see photos for reference), but my grandma loves it! It goes with her decor and her love of glazed pottery. I’m not sure what you would store in this one, but it is wonderful just for an aesthetic look in your home. Recommended!

Beautiful ginger jar
This ginger jar is huge! I was intrigued by the color tones. It coordinated very well with my dark kitchen cabinets. There is a unique texture on the jar. I thought it was very different and abstract so would recommend if you're looking for unique decor items.

Well crafted, solid, and stunning
This jar is absolutely gorgeous... the colors are vivid and the entire thing is heavy, solid and sturdy. I'm using it In my family room, and will be adding it to my fireplace mantle when winter comes to an end. The colors go so incredibly well with my sea themed motif.
