Compared to my other HFT Pittsburgh-brand torque wrenches, this is a nice step-up in quality & performance, yet at a price that I still considered reasonable. It comes in a high-quality storage case, complete with calibration documentation. The wrench itself is very high-quality. I really like the way the torque adjustment wheel on the handle works; it's far better than the traditional style seen on most other torque wrenches. The increased torque range & leverage on this wrench was a game changer in my case. I was able to torque the crank bolt (217ft-lbs) and the front-hub bolts (174ft-lbs) on my 1998 Tacoma 4WD 3.4L V6 5VZ-FE with *relative* ease & much more confidence (things get pretty sketchy when doing stuff in the '150ft-lbs & up' range).

Heavy, accurate, easy to use

Absolutely love this for high torque. It's accurate, easy to adjust, and built well. I use it once every few weeks so I can't comment on it as a daily tool, but it definitely reminds me of the Craftsman tools of old that I fell in love with. And the price is right!

Good Torque Wrench for the money

It's a Craftsman, not too much to say. Torque wrench is long and heavy. Make sure you need this one for what type of work you are going to using it for. If the torque limits you are going to be dealing with can be covered by a 3/8 drive go with the smaller torque wrench. This is a big ass wrench to wheel around. I worked on jet engines for 45 years and we all had torque wrenches in many sizes in drives and torque limits. I had 6 wrenches myself covering everything. Do not expect one wrench to cover all jobs. One might be too small to use in a tight space or too large to swing around. Adapters are fine but they just add unwanted length and it's just one more tool to have. Really shop around for a wrench that is comfortable if you are using it a lot. This is a case where size does matter. Ask a good mechanic what your needs are first before you buy one.

Best 1/2” drive available for the $$

Do not try to save with the Chinese versions at 1/2 the cost. They are inaccurate and will not last. This craftsman is reasonably priced and reasonably accurate.

Muy buena herramienta con falta de información y error diseño

Decidí comprar esta herramienta para poder hacer trabajos en mi coche y poder apretar las tuercas o birlos de las llantas de mis vehículos, el uso que pienso darle es casero así que no espero exigir mucho. Lo primero que me llamó mucho la atención es que no aparece información respecto al rango de valores en qué trabaja la herramienta, tuve que visitar la página del fabricante donde se anuncia que el rango es de 50 a 250 [ft lb] PERO resulta que el manual incluido y la graduación que tiene la herramienta dice que sirve entre 20 a 250 [ft lb] lo cual me causa preocupación en esa discrepancia. Debido a que el rango que pienso utilizar la herramienta es entre 80 a 140 [ft lb] no creo tener problemas. Otro detalle que encontré es que la herramienta se puede guardar en el estuche incluido siempre y cuando se encuentre configurada con valores entre 20 a 40 [ft lb] por lo que es muy molesto en que cada vez que se utiliza se debe girar hasta llegar al valor a utilizar y luego volver a girar para guardar, sirve como ejercicio (es algo cansado llegar a 120 [ft lb]). Puedo decir que es una herramienta sencilla de aprender a utilizar para seleccionar el valor requerido, ya cuando se aprieta y se llega al valor da una muy buena reacción (sonido y resistencia) para indicarnos que ya no es necesario hacer fuerza. Se debe tomar en cuenta que el manual indica que esta herramienta NO es para ser utilizada en el aflojar los tornillos o birlos, TAMPOCO es para todo el proceso de apretar sino solamente en la última parte cuando calculamos ya estar cerca de apretar el tornillo o birlo y necesitamos un valor en particular. En caso de ser utilizada para las llantas de vehículos recomiendo utilizar un dado profundo/alto, para mi Ecosport y BMW Z3, queda muy cerca de la carrocería y si las llantas no están perfectamente derechas la herramienta pegará, pero lo pude resolver con el dado alto que tengo. No tengo alguna otra herramienta para comprobar la exactitud de la llave dinamométrica Craftsman pero espero en un par de semanas llevar un vehículo al taller mecánico para comprobar este dato pero por el momento me ha sido útil y cumplido con su objetivo.

No tiene buena calidad

Excelente herramienta

Definitivamente cuando se habla de craftsman se espera una calidad superior al promedio y no decepciona, tiene un largo mayor al promedio por lo que se facilita dar aprietes mayores a 200Nm sin mucho esfuerzo, por el contrario al ser tan largo también puede ser incómodo en ciertos lugares y hace necesario el uso de extensiones para poder tener el espacio suficiente, el rango de aprietes es bastante amplio haciendo prácticamente innecesario uno de 3/8 (salvo por el espacio claro)

Buena herramienta

Es una muy buena herramienta , aunque la verdad los componentes de plástico no soy muy de mi agrado , si lo quieres para taller no lo recomiendo , sugeriría comprar algo de mayor aguante con mango metálico , otro factor que tampoco me gusto fue la caja , ya que se mira de plástico frágil y quebradizo el cual hay que cuidar mucho . De ahí en más la precisión es buena , el confort es bueno y la calidad de las partes metálicas se siente bien , desquita el precio .

Heavy duty torque wrench

There is nothing to dislike about this torque wrench. It is heavy duty; came with a box for storage; looks to be factory calibrated with a QA card. And most importantly, the wheels haven’t fallen off my vehicle yet.
