Was alright

I ordered this for my 16 year old son. The leg pieces are a joke so we didn't even bother with those. The arm guards were way too big and kept falling off, i had to wind up pinning them to the sleeve just to make them look right.

Good Costume

I bought mine from a third party store through amazon, their name is "The Internet Department Store". The costume arrived in about a week in a plastic mail bag. Estimated shipping time was 1-2 weeks, lucky it came early, otherwise if i needed to make adjustments to the costume or return and exchange i would only have 3 days to do it before my Halloween party. Costume is a bit thin but not too bad, i probably have to wear a jacket since it usually snows here around Halloween. This DOES NOT come with pants just to point out the obvious (different review said it came with it but it doesn't). The belt is attached to the belt across the chest and both are velcro to fit. They look like they are made of cheap material with thread sticking out everywhere. Boot covers are a bit weird, dont know which side is front or back but i'll figure it out. Buckles on vest hang loose which is kinda weird (check picture). I wear size L and XL but i choose L for this costume and its a good loose fit. T-shirts i wear in L are fitted and XL are usually loose. Overall i think this costume is okay for the price (~$40)but it would be a better deal at ~$35. I'll Post pics later. This would have been a better costume if it came with the arrow quiver/holder or a bow, i think that's what really makes it a Robin Hood costume. If it came with both those i wouldn't mind the price. As good as expected

Attractive and appealing costume. I'm 5'11" / 175, and the medium size fits me comfortably. The colors and basic appearance match the photo, and to my eye present a good image of "Robin Hood." The material is lightweight and the construction is cheap, which is no surprise at this price point — e.g., there's no edge stitching on the belt and strap, unlike in the photo, and the warning on the tag ("Do not wash. Do not dry. Do not clean.") tells you all you need to know about long-term durability. Still, it's not going to fall apart on you just putting it on or wearing it for a Halloween weekend. A few caveats: as others have noted, the shoulder strap doesn't actually wrap all the way around your back. It has velcro to hold it to the vest at the shoulder, but you may find yourself wanting to attach an additional length of fabric. The front buckles, unlike in the photo, aren't black on both sides, so the ends that hang loose might interfere with the look unless you color them over. The boot covers aren't scalloped around the edges as shown, and are probably the weakest-looking part; you might want to invest in a pair of actual costume boots instead. All that said, it's still a sharp-looking costume, easy to put on and comfortable to wear. Hard to beat at Amazon's price. Accessorize with a costume bow-and-arrow set, and you're good to go!

You get exactly what you see in the picture

SIZE: I'm giving it 4/5 stars because the small size is more of a medium. I had to button the straps to the smallest notch and it still felt loose. Everything in the picture matches the actual product except that the 3 vest buckles are only black on one side instead of both sides like pictured. The backside is white so its very noticeable especially if its dangling in the end. If you buckle it while its fully extended, then it white won't show. SHOULDER STRAP: I've read comments about the shoulder strap not being long enough. It appears in the picture that it goes around your shoulder and down your back, but it actually only reaches to the top of your shoulder. It was intended to be this way as there is a Velcro piece that affixes the strap to your shoulder. BAG: The bag on your belt is not actually a bag. If you put stuff inside, it will fall our as it has open slits on either side. HOOD: The hood is extremely thin. To get it to look like it does in the picture will take a lot of effort and would require you stand perfectly still. OVERALL: Despite it's shortcomings, I still give it a 4/5 because it looks great. Just make sure you buy a smaller size.

Great design poor quality

Overall I liked the design my issue with this costume was that it didn’t come with the pants, sizing was bigger than expected and the quality of the materials seemed to not match the cost of the outfit.

No pants!

Dont let the picture fool you, this costume does not come with the pants! I got ready to shoot a film scene and had the actors try the costumes on (the child version as well) and they had not bottoms. Quality and everything else is great tho!

Don't buy it if you want to dye it.

I bought this costume for a live action role play, where there's an awful lot of running to do. It's probably the most strenuous test of a costume's comfort I can think of. Here's the short review: Pretty decent costume so long as you don't want to dye it. Here's a more detailed review: If you have any intentions of dying this costume, don't bother. The materials aren't water absorbent. I tried to dye it black, and it didn't turn out even a little bit darker. But, of course, it would be wrong of me to rate it poorly because it didn't work well for something the manufacturer didn't intend for. For the most part, this costume is quite well made. The 'leather' parts are the sort of cheap latex type material you'd expect from a Halloween costume. The gloves are a more comfortable cloth material. My biggest complaint is that the buckles on the front of the vest part are poorly made, resulting in them coming undone every so often. The straight part of the buckle that goes through the hole in the strap isn't in any way attached to the rest of the buckle. If you're crafty, you could probably hack a fix for that, and they do give you a little room to make it fit you a bit more snugly. If you're just using it for a party or some such and not something as active as LARP, it may not give you as much trouble in the first place.

Decent costume; picture from the back needed to show the belt is not what you think!

Overall pretty good base to a costume, though you need to add your own boots and pants. The material was decent enough and the hand gloves were surprisingly charactered. Only real issue was the over-the-back belt was about 2 feet shorter than it was supposed to be; nowhere near the advertised length! So it doesn't go over your should but rather just up to the shoulder. They need to put a picture up showing the back and front of the costume, instead of just the front of it, for you to understand the different here.

Great last minute Halloween costume

Great costume good fabric looks good. Only complaint would be that the shoulder strap is very short and only made it up to the top of my shoulder and not down my back to attach onto the belt but other than that it's great for the money

Loved it. done the job, although forgetting to by a bow meant I was being called peter pan all night.... not sure I saw that but does mean I can reuse :) was good quality and fitted well
