Very well made!

I bought two of these leadropes to use as dog leashes for large dogs. The buckle snap is very well made. The cotton rope is soft and comfortable in my hands. I will never go back to flat dog leashes.

Decent price does wear quickly

Nice lead, soft in your hand, looks just like the pictures. A little disappointed in how quickly it is fraying.

Great accessory/climbing rope for rat cages

I have used this product as a climbing toy in both rat and bird cages, thanks to how sturdy the construction is. Even with tiny bird talons and chew-happy rat teeth, the rope stood up over time, and did not fray easily.

Lightweight Lead

As a basic lead, this works well. I bought it for the colors. The rope is soft, light and was fraying on both ends on arrival. You can easily fix this by wrapping waxed bead cord over the ends to create a cylinder that holds the threads down, it really extends the life of cotton ropes. There is very little "feel" in this rope, but after using it for a year, I prefer it over heavier treeline. Lasts about a year of daily use with a little maintenance.

Nice, but need DIY modification

This leash has potential but the design is flawed. On the plus side, the material is soft and feels good in your hand. And, it's convenient to be able to place knots in it to "customize" your grip. The snap is heavy duty and solid, However, the negative is a big one and, if not caught early, could leave you holding a rope that is no longer attached to the snap on your dog's collar! The snap is attached by passing the colored ropes through the metal ring and then weaving the ends of these different color ropes back through the woven lead. In my case, after about 6 weeks of use, the tucked under ends of the different color ropes began to come loose and unravel the attachment of the snap. Had I noticed it earlier, a few proactive transfixation stitches probably would have kept it whole. But, since it had unraveled a good bit when I noticed it, I whipped some cord around it which should do the trick. So, if you buy one, do yourself a favor and reinforce the snap connection before it unravels.

Poorly built

This would not be a good purchase for anyone who has a horse that is going to pull or be rough with it. It was very light and cheaply built I was loading my horse in the trailer and she spooked and broke the rope in a second

Design flawed, would not purchase again

What the product listing doesnt tell you is that there is no metal bracket to close the loop...it's just loosely sewn together. I would return it but don't want to go through the hassle. I bought this lead because of the Weaver brand so I'm disappointed in the quality of this item. I have put a zip tie around the base so I'm hoping it won't fall apart immediately
