Great for Hyper-extensive joints too!
My condition.: I have unstable (super flexy) joints on all joints in my hand (and mild raynauds) and I was in a lot of pain from overuse which didn't seem to take much. I used oval-8 splints on all the finger joints but the splints were beginning to drive me crazy so I thought I would try these even though that is not their original purpose. --- The Gloves: They are very similar to a very, very skinny wet suit. The flocking on the underside is the same and no where near as soft as I imagined. However once on, they did not scratch. The outside had tiny rubber bumps over the whole thing. They were rough but not scratchy and would look dumb with just the grip material over the hands and an alternative would be more expensive to make, driving up the price. --- Wearing Them: My adventures in wearing these gloves went like this. Mine arrived on a Monday. I was at the high but not highest end of the small (7.5 inches). However I forgot I have a large palm and long skinny fingers. So when I got them the the fingers were perfect but the palm was too small. The small also barely covered my last joint but it seemed to be enough to be useful. They were still mostly okay and they certainly helped. But over the day the width slightly crushed my knuckles and the gloves dug into the space between two fingers. One with a seam, one without. I had read that they needed some breaking in so I continued to give them a whirl at that size anyway. When I first wore them they were warm and it was awesome for my raynauds (No problems with frozen food!) but took a little getting used to as the exposed tips felt cold in comparison. I had to keep checking them against my cheek to make sure circulation wasn't cut off. But by the end of the day that was no longer noticeable. I did sweat a little and was worried about drenching my hands, however it wasn't a problem as they seemed to breath just enough not to cause a problem The next day they were still too tight so I ordered the next size up and wore the smaller size on and off until I got the new gloves on Thursday (go go amazon prime). The new gloves were perfect on the palm and okay along the first segment of the fingers but loosened up as they went on and the compression was nonexistent by the time it got to the end. However, the gloves fingers were longer and they were still useful for slightly stabilizing the hand and joints so I tried them at that size. The two areas that dug in on the previous pair also had pressure on them with the larger pair but not as much. I'm used to all medical anything taking some getting used to ,so I stayed with them and it soon wasn't a problem. They were fine and helpful, mostly on, sometimes off throughout the day, and about 95% better than the splints. The warmth was nice and using my hands was easier than the splints. Plus it built a bit of strength in my fingers because they were a little harder to move during typing and grasping. (Only if you have super weak fingers I imagine) They were also awesome for drawing, which I do a lot of. By the end of Friday the overall pain in my fingers had lessoned significantly to the point that when I took them off at night I wasn't kept awake by it, indeed I didn't even notice it. Saturday I woke to a surprising number of hangnails and what looked like lots of really tiny little blisters along the bottom of the nail-bed - many of those later became hangnails as well. I at first suspected a skin condition that my Mum had, however I realized that that was precisely where the tips of the gloves rubbed because they weren't tight. As I said, all medical anything takes getting used to, and the splints caused similar problems when I first wore them too. So I took time off to let the blisters heal and then wore cut up bandaids along the bottom of the nails for the sore skin until that toughend up. Afterwhich I was fine. --- Overall Results: They were superior to the splints. They allowed enough stability to help without causing atrophy in the muscles. The splints I had been wearing dug in any time I needed to grip and affected a larger section my hand. So some minor inconvenience with the fingers was worth it. And while I had initial, very minor pain from hangnails it paled in comparison to how much the whole hand hurt without the gloves. The only reason I'm giving four stars not five is because the fit was awkward for me. For someone with more evenly distributed features this would not be a problem. I was also using them for a condition they were not designed. In general both the gloves and yourself need a little breaking in, but if you are sick of the alternatives, this is worth it. ***Update*** Upon increased usage and warmer days, the gloves do not breathe enough to be totally free of damp hands. Talcum powder is in order.

These actually work!
I don’t know how many pair I’ve tried for the Raynauds and rheumatoid arthritis. I just know it was too many and nothing was working! I come across these, and they actually work! They provide compression, heat that is created from your body and when you take them off, you’re hands will feel damp. The only drawback is the smell of the gloves. Smells like some kind of chemical. Don’t let that stop you from purchasing them, the smell dissipates over time. That’s why for 4 stars and not 5.

It's warm and comfortable!
I'm not sure about pain relief because the warmth feels good. Although, my finger tips feel cold outside the house, I wish they also have ones that covers the full fingers. The fit is perfect, it relaxes my hands

A Life-Changer, Like Cinderella Finding Her Slipper...
I ordered Thermoskin Premium Arthritic Gloves on behalf of my father, who contracted rheumatoid arthritis in his right hand after an injury that had caused a blood clot. My father's hand had been hurting him continuously, and the joints got so stiff that it became hard for him to do even basic tasks like comb his hair, grip or pick up objects, take an item out of his pocket, turn a key in a lock, or turn a doorknob. He couldn't sleep much because the hand hurt even worse in the night, and would swell up and feel so cold and almost numb. My father was sad and miserable because he has always been very active. Nothing provided relief from the pain or inflammation...and he'd tried Tylenol, Advil, doctor-prescribed arthritis medication - and every natural remedy he could think of, including heating pads, hot cloths, hot water soaks, Epsom salt soaks, table salt soaks, Castor Oil packs and other oil packs like Olive Oil, rubbing alcohol, herbal soaks, ginger root soaks, drinking ginger root tea, drinking sage tea, drinking thyme tea, wearing a long cotton leg warmer on the hand, lightly wrapping in an ace bandage, and more. None of these things helped, and some - the ginger soak, light bandaging, leg warmer - made the pain and swelling immediately worse. Baking soda decreased the pain and swelling a bit, but it wasn't enough. I researched options for post-blood clot care and rheumatoid arthritis care. We wanted something that would increase circulation, prevent swelling, improve flexibility and mobility, provide warmth, and stop the pain. Therapeutic gloves with compression points that reflected natural heat seemed like the best option. My father was hesitant to try therapeutic gloves, because wearing a winter glove outside or even putting his hand under a blanket or thin sheet with the rest of his body while he slept would agitate the hand and cause it to swell up and hurt intensely. We also knew that he couldn't wear just anything on the hand, since it had just recovered from the blood clot. I talked him into giving gloves a try, and he bought Ace Rejuvenating Hand Support Glove at Walgreens. The Ace gloves helped the pain and swelling, especially if he put Baking Soda inside, but the gloves made his hand hurt and swell up if he kept them on long. The Ace gloves did nothing for blood circulation or warmth. We chose Thermoskin Premium Arthritic Gloves because it has compression points that would help blood circulation, and thermoskin material that would warm his hand to exactly his perfect temperature by reflecting his natural body heat back at the hand. We felt that the gloves would be perfect for his needs. Thankfully, we were right. His hand felt so much better just minutes after he put the gloves on. It was like Cinderella finding her glass slipper. Just three months later, the glove had healed his hand so much that he now only needs to wear the gloves occasionally. With or without the gloves, he can move his hand freely again to do basic tasks, be handyman around the house, and do the rest of his daily manly tasks. He can wear the gloves indoors or outdoors. The glove keeps his hand warm even when it's cold. The hand no longer swells up or gets numb due to the glove's compression. The hand rarely hurts now, and even when it does, the pain stops when he puts the gloves on. He feels that the gloves saved his hand, because he used to be afraid that he'd lose it or have to have it amputated. In fact, before getting these gloves, there were times that he almost wanted the hand amputated because of how bad the pain was. We're very thankful for these gloves and the people who made them. It was expensive, but worth every penny.

WILL NOT EX
REFUSED REFUND DO NOT BUY! I measured my hands and had tried a medium on at my therapists, when my pair arrived they were too tight and left my hands numb. I TRIED TO RETURN THEM, BUT WAS DENIED THE OPTION. considering this is an item that needs to fit I find this disgraceful. I tried a different brand previously and had no issue exchanging those once tried on. As a disabled customer I'm really disappointed, I cannot get to shops to buy things so chose Amazon thinking it would be good.

Same as I was given by nhs
These gloves work for me. Same as the gloves I was given at hand therapy. There are a lot of compression gloves out there made from thin material that seem to fall apart very quickly. These gloves are made of a thicker material and do last me longer. I find the thicker material is good for me. They are ment to be tight an that is part of the benefits from wearing them. Hand wash now an again or they can start to smell. If the stitching does start to fail you can repair them in 5 minutes, rather than wait till they come apart. I have nerve damage and crps and the compression does help (along with my meds) to take the edge off the pain. In hot weather they can make my hand sweat abit ,but can always take them off for a while. For me there is a benefit from wearing them. My condition is also affected by temperature change an I feel that wearing these while moving from indoors to outdoors also slows down the change in temp of my hand which lessons the effects I feel. I would rather they were a little cheaper , but these will last longer than the cheaper thinner gloves. I will buy again.

Good support, warm in winter, though not without downsides.
Suffering from RSI/Arthritis and Swan Neck I need my Isotoner gloves almost constantly. After a visit to a condition management clinic i was told about these so ordered a pair which arrived promptly and in good condition. Harder to put on than Isotoners gloves, they are less flexible so help my Swan Neck more but make anything that requires good dexterity/feel (things like mouse usage) very tricky. In a larger size will also fit over isotoners if you want more warmth/resilience and support. The only major downside though is that they will make your hands sweat a LOT and require constant cleaning as a result (for me at least I only wear them in winter or if my hands are giving me a particularly bad day) also not the easiest thing to remove either due to the grippy nature or Neoprene.

No use at all
Bought these on the recommendation of a health practitioner I was seeing. First of all, these are neoprene gloves. They restrict movement of the joint in fingers an wrists. This gave me trouble. By restricting movement it mean't I had to push my joints more to do things - e.g. pick up a cup, grab car steering wheel, etc. This increased the pain from my wrists and fingers. Also, given that the joints are restricted, they stiffen up. When I take the gloves off my wrist and finger joints are stiff and painful. In addition, if you endure risk pain, a physio will often ask you to wear something to restrict wrist movement for sleeping. These don't restrict anything near as much as they need to do. Result is a waste of money for me. I can't see how they can improve things for anyone but some people swear by them.

Comfortable Medium Compression
These are my favourite compression gloves, after trying several different brands. They are, however, thicker and stiffer than many others on the market, as would be required for medium versus light compression. DO be sure to measure your hands before buying. I purchased large and would say the size is just right, though I find the cuffs go up too high and end in an uncomfortable place. I get around this by folding the cuffs down and velcrowing them in reverse, showing off the orange lining. If you use hand cream, as I do, you will want to avoid while wearing these gloves as it make your hands sweaty.
