Contigo is the best!
Contigo just makes the best travel mugs! The handle on this one is super comfortable. And it isn't attached to the inner portion of the mug, so there won't be any breakage from twisting the lid. And, I can open it easily, even on bad arthritis days. It actually keeps liquids warm for most of the day. I'm getting rid of all of my hard-to-open travel mugs and replacing them with this Contigo Superior 2.0 model.

Outstanding customer service.
I bought my Contigo mug with handle nearly 2 1/2 years ago. Recently, after those years of faithful and daily service the handle came of. It broke at the tack welds, which had penetrated the outer shell, so the vacuum seal was broken, of course. I went to the Contigo site and started a chat with a customer rep. A week later I had a new mug, replaced at no cost to me. To comment on some other complaints I have read here; Be aware that the instructions about rotating the lid counter-clockwise until you feel two clicks should be taken very seriously. This keeps the mug's edge from digging into the lid's seal and damaging it. This is a technique which is well know and nearly habitual for any auto mechanic, and will quickly become so for any mug owners who are careful about practicing it. I have never had a leak with that mug I used constantly for two years. Also, there appears to be replacement seal rings available, although since I have never needed one I cannot comment on their effectiveness. In all I can't recommend this product highly enough. It works as advertised, and the customer service is so good it surprised me. They stand by their product.

My son LOVES this Travel Mug!!!
He was telling me how he was having a hard time finding the right mug to fit into his cup holder in his work truck so I bought this one for him. It fit the bill perfectly & is leak-proof. The position of the handle makes it easy for him to drink from while driving & it keeps his beverage hot all day. He has told me a couple times how much he likes it.

Will keep your drink hot
Darn good cup. Holds about 20oz and keep your drink hot for hours. It's been warm the next morning. ????. Top seals well opening is a lift tab. Seals well enough sometimes that you have to loosen the cap to lift the tag. Why 4 stars if it's so great. I tend to use a product before commenting on it. The handle came off after a year of bouncing around in the truck. Still use it. So, maybe take with a grain of salt.

Fits the car cup holder.
This well made stainless steel insulated cup does a good job maintaining the temperature. It seals well and is leak proof. It fits nicely in the car cup holder. The lid is designed go on for either left or right handed use. I find it a little tricky to put the lid on, it doesn’t always line up. The seal for drinking is a little hard to open as well. I didn’t find either of these issues enough to downgrade it from five stars. I only mention it in case you have strength or coordination issues with your hands. I bought a second one for my wife because she wanted mine. Lol. I recommend this.

The handle fell off
The handle fell off not long after I bought and started using it on the daily.. honestly, it’s preferable without it! But. If you’re a handle holder, just know that it gets wiggly and will fall off. Works great otherwise, no leaks! Keeps coffee warm for a while, not as long as other thermals I’ve had, but it’s alright.. 2-3 hrs for boiling hot coffee. Pretty durable (asides from the handle) - I’ve dropped it lots since the handle fell off and it’s still going strong after months and months of use!

Large slim and easy to clean, holds XL coffee
Nice looking easy to clean mug with less breakable parts like some other mugs with springs in their lids. I don't mind that it doesn't self close, it keeps liquid hot for a long time and it is spill proof when locked. My self closing mugs leaked and smelt after a while but this one is easier to clean and probably won't break. It has a lifetime warranty if it does!

I love it because it does exactly as it promises - it doesn't leak. My old travel mug was an Aladdin one that I actually prefer the way the lid screws on, but this mug is bigger and doesn't make a mess in my car. The only issue is that it's slightly too wide at the bottom to easily fit into the cup holder on the door of the car - the one that I use so it's not in the way of the driver's elbow while shifting. I can force it but it's a tight fit and I imagine it will make the paint scratch. Also, because of the mechanism making it leak proof you can't get every last drop of drink out without removing the lid. Either way, it absolutely perfect for bringing my morning coffee to work, and it's nice to look at. Editing to add: Now that it's summer I've been drinking iced coffee a lot instead of hot. I make my coffee at night before bed and in the morning it has cooled enough. This mug fits 8 standard sized ice cubes, so I fill it with ice, a bit of creamer, and then coffee. This is at 6am. At 7:30am before leaving the house I top up the coffee again to bring to work. When I come home at 5:30 there are still ice cubes. Not tiny slivers, but half sized ones! So, yeah, the mug sits on my desk in my air conditioned office, but even with the valve open all day the ice doesn't melt all the way. This thing really works for cold drinks, and I don't even have to freeze the mug first. And at the opposite end, when I do make hot coffee if there's any left over at the end of the day it's usually still warm-ish. Plus I was wrong about the pain scratching off... not a chip or scratch and this goes in the dishwasher at least once a week. Would definitely recommend and buy this again.

Great leakproof, didn't fit my standard car cup holder but didn't leak at all.
