Best overall insulated bottle design

I actually purchased several different bottle designs, so that I could compare them, in an effort to find a set of them for both home and travel. Those bottles that have a type of cup feature are fine at keeping liquid in the bottle, but once you drink from them, liquid stays inside of the cup area, inside of the lid, and then spills out, if you tilt or shake the bottles. This bottle, because it does not use the same type of "cup" top design, never allows any liquid to get inside of the lid, so there is never any liquid inside of the lid to leak or spill when tilted. These bottles come in both 20oz and 24oz. I prefer the 24oz bottles. But, I wanted to get a complete set, in at least 5 to 6 different colors. Unfortunately, these bottles only come in 2 - 24oz colors. There appear to be a few more colors in the 20oz size, but the 24oz size is limited. I would have given these bottles 5 stars, if the 24oz color selection had been greater. Some people, like myself, prefer to have a "set", but in all different colors.

Couple of flaws

I have both the blue and black version of this travel water bottle and there are a couple of things about them that are annoying. First is that the finish is shiny/smooth and not matte/textured like pretty much every other travel water bottle I've owned. The finish is really thin and they get scratched easily. Bare metal is already showing through the finish after a 3 day trip where they spent most of the time in a backpack. Second is that the bottom doesn't have a silicone boot or a rubberized base. The travel mugs/bottles that have those are much less likely to get dented at the base from accidental drops. Absence of a silicone/rubber base also results in a unpleasant metallic sound when placing them on stone or glass surfaces. I know that probably won't bother most people, but it's something to consider.

Love it

Got this for Christmas and have used to ever since. I sat on the car and it fell off a few days ago, the lid sadly broke. After a few days of suffering my new one has arrived and order has been restored

Nearly perfect purchase!

This water bottle checked off all the boxes for me… lightweight, auto flip top, wide mouth for easy drinking and cleaning, no sweating, fits in all cup holders, keeps drinks cold/hot, convenient carry handle…so why not five stars? All 3 we order had the carry handles break a couple months ago. Not the handle itself but the rivet holding it in place. They need to reinforce the handle or make it one solid piece and then it’s a five star purchase hands down!!!!

Awesome product, but....

I have had several Contigo water bottles. I switched to this one because the lid is much easier to clean. The way it is made there should be no hidden spots that can collect old smoothie juices, etc that is hard to reach like their other bottle. Only issue I have though is that the little carry handle is easy to break off. I have 4 of these. 2 24oz and 3 20 oz. On two of my 20oz bottles one side of the carrying handle came off because the little metal piece that holds it on will just pop off. My other 20oz bottle both sides popped off. If Contigo can fix that then this bottle would get 5 stars from me. Lastly, the lock on it is okay. There are times that it seems to get stuck, but nothing really crying over.

Great canister and drinking, but weak plastic locking mechanism

This is a really great water bottle except for the fact that it is very not drop-safe. Dents easy and if you manage to drop it on the plastic locking mechanism it could ruin the whole thing... don't ask how I know.

Belle qualité

Le problème que j’avais avec d’autre bouteille c’est qu’il se créait de la moisissure dans des des parois ou on n’avait pas accès, avec celle-ci j’ai l’impression qu’il y a peu ou pas de chance que cela ce produise avec son bec en plastique étanche! Belle qualité!

The best features don’t work

I was so excited to order this water bottle. I did a lot of research and I have four Contigo coffee mugs so I thought this would be perfect. Sadly it is not. I was looking for a pop open lid with an opening about the size of a water bottle. I don’t like drinking water from a straw or a squirty thingy or those sippy cup type of pop-up, built-in short straws. So, the design was exactly what I wanted; however, the pop up doesn’t pop up. It requires two hands to get the lid open, so that was the first issue. The second issue is more egregious - this water bottle does not keep my water cold. At all. I fill it with ice and water and within an hour the ice has melted and the water is nearly room temperature. I’m so disappointed!!

Good Quality So Far

Tested the water leak when it first arrived and no leak were found like other review said. Locking feature easy to use, opening for mouth is large enough. Wash it before I store it away and cleaning is also easy. Time will tell if it holds. Will put updates. Update: May24,2022 The item is still good and trying to buy again but very disappointed they'd increase the price by $15!!! It was listed $25.22 This is the reason I deduct one star. And of course, I won't buy again.
