95% satisfied. Corded model: Good build, cheaply switch, 110 V only - but works well.
UPDATE 05.08.2022. I use these as a beard shawer on an 50 Watt 220V/110V travel transformer. Till now it has worked fine. Instead of going for insanely expensive rotary or foil shawers for your beard or mustache, just use this one. No expensive foil and cutters to replace anymore, no pulling your hair from unsharp electrical razor cutters, etc. The only negative I have is the switch feels cheaply made and is from thin plastic. Other thant that the cutters are from stainless steel which is a plus and it does what it is supposed to do. I don't know the internals and can not compare it to the Oster brand for example. At least the motor is not weak at all and will manage every face hair there is. I recommend this at this price. But I would not want to pay more than 20 $ for these unless they make these scale up in quality to the Oster material quality. 12 $ is an acceptable price for these units. MAIN REVIEW I bought 2 of these red corded Conair beard trimmers. 1 of them had an significant louder motor noise than the other one and the motor of that one ran an unconsistent motor rpm. As if the power was not consistent or the motor did not run uniformily. I requested that one in warranty from Conair and after sending them the invoice and serial number they shipped me now an replacement one. Be advised these are all only on 110 V - so do not mix up your personal devices at travelling since these do not have an worldwide automatic adjusting power intake. So I marked these as "110 V only". They use 4 Watts as it states on the machine as such as any small 50 Watt travel converter will do it (step down transformer from 220 V input to 110 V output) to use these corded models. I opted for the corded model because they do not have an built in battery which fails after 3+ years and the whole thing has to be thrown away. So these corded models are way more environmentally friendly. I do not like e-waste. These have an powerfull motor and they cut well. I dont understand people who complain about dull clippers or weak motor - I believe they use these claims as an excuse to claim the warranty for an replacement or justification for returning them. If these are without defect these will work well. The switch has an flimsy fealing and could have been more substantial in an Oster 76 Classic style fashion or like those Remingtons with an hefty sideswitch. These cut the beard for an electric razor replacement the closest possible to the skin. I use these as an electric razor replacement. I never used for decades an propper electric razon but only used this type of beard trimmer clippers as an replacement for an razor. These raze quicker and are allways sharp while the razors are expensive items whose blades have to be changed for expensive $$ on an regular basis unless they pull only the hair. These cut the hair short and are allways sharp. The blade of this corded Conair model is only 1 inch wide. A bit small I thought at first but it works very well and is wide enough. About 15 swipes and the face, ears and nose is trimmed and razed down. Yes these trim as well ear hair - just tilt them accordinly and to some extent they cut as well nose hair, again with the propper technique. The blades are entirely stainless steel but underneath there I fear moving parts are plastic. But then again I have used already for about 1 decade an Phillips beard trimmer which was as well mostly plastic. Its built in battery died and so I went for these corded Conair plug in models. Flimsy switch and loud noise as well potentially electrical unsafe motor of the one I ordered got 1 star less. But I recommend these. Though I would consider these a bit overpriced at 16$ and would rather consider 12$ as an fair price. I recommend these. Make sure to go for the corded model only. The built in battery model will be trash as soon the battery dies and the battery operated model seems to have an underpowered motor.

SUPER beard trimmer!
Got this after a very disappointing history with a battery powered one. And, to my shock and delight, found this to be head and shoulders above. The main thing is due to lack of power for the former one, it took MANY, MANY passes, slowly moving thru the 3 heads to finally get my beard down to acceptable length…a process of some 20-25 minutes. With this one, started with the largest attachment, assuming would have to do the same slow progression. BOY, was I shocked when this first one rapidly dealt with EVERYTHING all at once…1-2 passes, and beard at reasonable length…ZERO need to swap out heads, zero stopping to swap batteries since corded. 5 minutes and done…can’t go wrong.

Twelve Years -- Not Bad!
I've had this beard and mustache trimmer for twelve years of weekly use. I have had to take it apart once to clean out accumulated hair that prevented the power switch from working, but cleaning it out got it working smoothly again. About two years ago, one of the two plastic clips that holds the cutting head into the housing broke, but the cutting head still snaps securely into the housing with just one clip. Now, the blades have gotten dull enough that it's no longer cutting smoothly on bare skin, but it still cuts my beard just fine. I haven't been able to find replacement parts, so I'm planning on buying a new one to replace it. Twelve years isn't bad for the price!

Great for minimalists
I had a ConAir Groomer for many years before the switch started having trouble that I wasn't able to fix. I like the battery powered groomers because if I decide to go on a trip I can just add it to my shaving kit without worrying about powering it. You can get plain batteries almost anywhere, and I can groom my mustache and beard without needing special NiCad, Lithium ion, or any other battery.

Beard trimmer.
The trimmer is very lightweight and comfortable to use. Does a great job of not only trimming my beard but also keeping it at a lwngth that i prefer. Cut very well without catching and pulling as others did. It is a corded trimmer so it has no batteries to rcharge or go dead.

Once you get past the packaging, it's excellent.
I thought manufacturers had given up on those impossible-to-open plastic packages. And once you get it out, there are no instructions or diagrams telling you how the bits go on. Not that's it's hard but if they're going to provide pages of warnings and maintenance and parts order forms, why no little picture? Anyway, it does the job well and much nicer than my old wimpy battery-powered one. It seems well made and the plastic clip-on bits are hefty and sturdy. so 5* except -1 for the awful package.

Individual parts replacement
Conair doesn’t sell individual parts for this product, so keep in mind that if you lost or broke the adjustable comb (or any other parts that comes with the product), you will have to buy another one in order to use it at his fullest. I’m stuck with a perfectly functional beard trimmer that is now useless because of that. Also the customer service offered by Conair really sucks.

doesnt adjust enough
I had a rechargeable one that i could adjust the length of the trim on the trimmer itself , which was perfect, but i wanted a plug in model as the batteries keep going dead and its a hassle. Sadly the plug in model doesnt have a built in adjuster just the slide on plastic piece for the length you want it at. Unfortunately even sliding it all the way to the lowest setting it doesnt trim my moustache at the length i want it at. So i have to take the plastic piece right off and carefully trim my stache. This would be perfect if they had put in the adjuster on the back of the trimmer like they do on the rechargeable model. But it will work for now until i find something better. but worth the buy for the cost

Exactly as advertised &/or recommended
Conair GMT8CS corded beard & mustache trimmer works exactly as expected as per ad's "hype" --- for a change said hype lives up to the product's reality. For myself, corded = no eventual battery wearout requiring unit replacement (at least for a very long time). I enjoy a relatively short, trimmed beard (& mustache) & so use the trimmer non-continuously, removing cut hair off the blades as I trim --- hence no unit "over-heating" issues. For those with extra lengthy beards, over-heating problems, though not insurmountable, would require more patience & a lengthier non-continuous usage of this cutter or something more powerful like a hair-cutting unit.

Stop wasting your money on rechargeable beard trimmers
I’ve had many beard trimmers over the past years, this is the first corded trimmer I’ve found (never looked online before and the ones in stores are all rechargeable). The power is consistent unlike with battery operated units which means a better trimming than rechargeable units that are much more expensive.
