Sturdy built very well,,,looks nice too!
I recently ordered three of these seats in different colors (White, Black and Walnut, all with chrome or brushed nickel, hardware). They all arrived in a very timely fashion, and were packed well. The seats are constructed out of solid wood, and have a nice attachment bracket/bar. For me the solid bar at the back of the seat, works much better than seats that have a couple of anchor bolts on either side. Many times the two bolts tend to let the seat start to sway, if they start to loosen up. With the bar, getting them tight is at first a challenge, but once it's tight, the seat seems to stay put much better. It also looks nice! Lets face it, a toilet isn't the nicest looking part of ones bathroom,,,adding the nice seats, added with the upgraded hardware on the back, makes the potty look just a bit nicer! And as an added bonus, since this seat does not have the two bolts with the plastic covers over those bolts, it is easier to keep clean! *Anybody that has the job of, the house "potty cleaner", will appreciate just how cruddy and gross, it can get under those spots. By attaching the seat via the attached bolt bar, it is much easier to clean, and keep that way as well!

Is as sowcified
I selected this seat due to black accents in my bathroom. It doesn’t show urine stains that seem to emerge over time with lighter colored seats. Cushion pads underneath lid were same as lid color, not white, as with other lids that were black with white cushions pads underneath.

Very solid seat, firm and supportive with thick finish, but the nuts that affix it to the bowl have had to be retighten every fe
I installed this several months back when I remolded my bathroom and I wanted a solid seat in place of the plastic that has become commonplace. It has preformed as expected, It is solid when I sit on it and has held up very well over time. It looks good and has not shown any fading chipping or cracking. I would recommend it to others. The only complaint I have is that over time I have had to retighten the bolts that secure it to the bowl. Im not 100% sure if this is the fault of the seat or my bowl but it is rather frustrating when every month or so the seat slants to the left and I have to reach under and retighten the nuts.

Great purchase
It had to be exchanged as the company sent the wrong size initially. However, they were wonderful about taking care of the mix-up. The seat looks great and is of very solid construction. The only thing is that because it is so heavy, it slams and make a very loud noise if you do not consciously and gently lower the lid. I remedied this somewhat by adding some little clear rubber-like self stick discs to they ones already on the bottom of the seat. (This is only reason for not giving it 5 stars). It does help a bit with the banging. Otherwise, I love my purchase (if you can love a toilet seat) and the pricing and customer service was super!

It doesn't stand the test of time...
While this is the second time I've ordered this toilet seat, I wish now I hadn't. The seat appears to be of a high quality and it is comfortable too, but after a month or so you'll start to notice scratches and chips in the paint. After several months you'll notice more scratches and chips even though you are the only one who using it and don't remember doing the damage. And then, after a year or so, you'll probably look at it sadly and realize it does not look so nice anymore...at least that's what happened to me. I had my first seat for a year and my second seat for only a month. I sure wish it still looked like it did when I got it. Now I understand why they make high quality plastic seats.

Good buy
What I like best about this toilet seat is it does not stain. My previous one got stained with some hair dye that made it look totally unwelcoming. I had purchased this seat for another bathroom in my house and it stayed looking like new so I ordered another. Looks as good as a toilet seat can.

Broken hinge
Less than a month after it was installed on my toilet, one side of the hinge holding the lid onto the seat broke off. Amazon is sending me a replacement despite the 30-day return window expiring due to my delay in installing the seat. We'll see if the new one out lasts the first.

Absolutely the best!! In 58 yrs
Absolutely the best!! In 58 yrs., I've never had a toilet seat crack - until last week. And it was less than 1-yr old! The reason? Because it (like most toilet seats on the market today) only had two bumpers on the rim! Comfort Seats has four, so there is less "play" between the rim and the toilet and therefore less stress to the wooden joint on the sides of the rim. Does this make a difference? Well, for me it did! I've had a Comfort Seats toilet seat on the upstairs commode for 5+ years and have not had a single problem. Shouldn't have wasted my time and money by buying the "B" brand from a local box store. Lesson learned - the hard way! Don't waste your money - buy a Comfort Seats!
