These are fairly sturdy, hard, yet flexible plastic spoons. They're not very wide to scoop a lot of food at once, although I DO use them for soup sometimes, and mostly cereal, or other fairly light-duty foods. They can be used to mix drinks and ingredients together. They aren't exactly meant to scoop up big chunks of food at once. But they do the job fine, for most regular and gentle use. I got these spoons for the pretty, dark turquoise color and low price. There are cheaper plastic spoons on Amazon, that's for sure. But these spoons are pretty good quality, for being disposable plastic spoons. They are more durable than the ones you might get for free from a bagel shop, a fast-food joint, anything of that sort. Those cheaper spoons don't do much, because of their thin flimsiness. With these dark turquoise colored spoons, you can bend them, but not as easily as those cheaper free spoons... So if you dig into a big bowl of...let's say, chunky potato salad, these spoons would probably bend a little, but they wouldn't be rendered totally useless... ..BUT, I wouldn't recommend these spoons for any type of heavy use, or for big bowls of soup for people who prefer larger scoops. They can scoop up average amounts of food, but like I said, the head of it is pretty narrow, especially for my personal taste. Yet, they seem to be pretty standard-size disposable spoons. I've purchased them twice now, and I find them useful for using on any really light to medium weight foods, such as cereal and yogurt. These are NOT soup spoons with the big round head. They work fine for really hot, or really cold foods and drinks. They don't get warped from the more extreme temperatures. They stay exactly in their normal shape, and they never bend from heat, like normal cheap spoons might. Overall, I DO like these spoons, and I use them for different things, daily. I almost feel bad when I toss them out, because they're totally fine, pretty, and durable enough to be rinsed or washed off to be used again. Especially when they are just used to mix sugar and cream into coffee, Emergen-C vitamin powders into water (that stuff is so great, makes me feel better and healthier), and other such simple uses for stirring liquids at home, or for break supplies at work. No matter where you may be, these spoons are just as easy to throw out after use. But don't litter. Plastics are bad enough in general, but that's another story. So if you're looking for a vivid colored, fairly durable, disposable plastic spoon, this will do the trick. The spoons would be great for Birthday parties and get-togethers, for lunches, picnics, for the breakroom, and for eating little snacks such as: jello, yogurt, applesauce, pudding, rice, beans, corn, and chicken salad. These spoons are versatile, and saturated with opaque turquoise color. Go for it. They definitely do what they were made to do, with better quality than many other plastic spoons out there. Enjoy them.
