My favourite tent ever! We call it The Hobbit Hole.
I don't even know where to start with this sweet tent. First of all, I am writing this review because I was SUPER annoyed that NOBODY could give the inside dimensions of the 4 person, not including the porch. It looks like it is 7' x 8' by my measurement. from the end of the porch to the back of the tent is 7' with the width being 8'. This made it even MORE perfect as we have more room on the sides. Now, I wasn't 100% sure what to expect. This adorable little Hobbit Hole has a screened tent and one of the few where it is entirely enclosed. We have a very curious little Australian Shepherd that loves to get up close and personal with critters and often refuses to come into the tent. She just wants to sleep outside. Note that she is EXTRA fuzzy and sheds all year long and is always warm. Add to her conundrum of loving camping but being miserable that we had to jam her dog bed between the air mattress and the tent edge, she would be restless and end up kicking us out of bed. This little screen porch allows us to keep her fully enclosed while allowing her to stay cool and have her all-night-critter-stake-out. So you're thinking, whatever... you live in Arizona... How does this badboy hold up in the rain? Well, last night, an insane monsoon rolled in. We are talking high winds, crazy rain and hail, lightnings and rivers of water running under the tent. I had already emptied a can of Kiwi water repellant (the heavy duty camp one) on the rain fly and the seams so water was beading off of it. I was able to observe where water was hitting hardest during the gales. No leaks. We stayed in the tent for the worst of the wind so it wouldn't blow away, expecting the tie downs to pop out and the fly to at least do just that. Flyyyyy. Nope. After 45 minutes, boyfriend, Fuzzy Aussie and I headed up to the house and hoped for the best. It did rain throughout the night on and off. This morning, it was bone dry. I let it dry and then unzipped all the windows and sprayed another can of kiwi water proofing directly into the outside facing windows (and not through the screen) since that is where the fly doesn't really cover. We didn't have issues at all. It dries fast and odorless and it is just worth it to invest in a couple of cans of this magical spray and go to town. Massive difference. 5 stars all the way. I gave a 4 for durability because despite putting a tarp underneath it, the mesh bottom for drainage has a tiny hole from a rock (which I will sew together) and one of the inside door tie-backs came off the first time I tried to snap it on. Looks like it wasn't sewn together properly. I'll sew that on and good to go. But holey schnikeys, this tent is super sweet. We upgraded the tent pegs because no offense Coleman but those janky wire looking pegs haven't impressed anyone since the 60s. Just no. Our setup: - Coleman 4 person cabin style tent with screened porch - Eurmax heavy duty tent stakes (worth the investment) - Kiwi Camp Dry Heavy Duty Water Repellant - REDCAMP Large waterproof 4 in 1 Camping Tarp (we like a tarp under the tent) Like a bloody CHARM! I couldn't get the Fuzzy Australia Shepherd OUT of the tent for a change. And the little porch is even MORE amazing than I expected.

So far So Good
The media could not be loaded. We put up the tent and slept in our backyard to test it out. The tent was nice and spacious for my boyfriend and myself with our two dogs. The porch area is nice and large. There was light rain. The rain fly kept it dry inside the tent while we slept and the rain fly for the porch also stayed dry. However, the rain fly does not protect the bottom of the windows so you will want to close the windows a little bit while it is raining to keep a little bit of rain from coming in. DISCLAIMER: please keep in mind that we could not stretch it out as tight as it can go due to space in the backyard. We will be able to stretch it out farther when we go camping and can see if the windows seem to keep water off better. So far we love it!

Nice tent for mild weather if its build correctly
Pro: Roomy, good ventilation, large windows Cons: Leaks, not all the red loops for holding doors are present. Definitely set it up once before camping so you know how it goes together. I was stuck on putting up the rainfly because the video shows the tube where the pole slides through. I had the hardest time finding that tube because on my rain fly it was glued down and looked like any other seam. I tested out the tent with a sprinkler for an hour. Checking the inside showed to puddles at the center edge. The seams where the tub floor that meets the wall are folded on the inside but are not taped. Seam sealer may fix the problem. I really want to like this tent but am kind of annoyed about the leaking problem. Also the red loop is missing where the door tab would go through to hang the door open.

Huge tent with big windows, excellent ventilation and a weatherproof screenroom!
This review is for the six person tent with the weatherproof screen room. Summary Lots of floorspace, huge windows, great ventilation, and a weatherproof screen room are some of the wonderful features that makes this tent an obvious choice for warm weather "glamping" in rainy areas. Beware that the abundance of mesh makes this tent a poor choice for cold weather camping, and the heavy weight (30+lbs) is not ideal if you plan on hiking to your camping spot. Tent Dimensions - The bedroom is 9ft long x 10ft wide - The screen room is 4ft long x 10ft wide - The vestibule extends out an additional 3ft - The tent stands at 6ft 4in high at the tallest point - Without the rainfly (and therefore without the vestibule), the total dimensions are 13ft long x 10ft wide - With the rainfly (including the vestibule), the total dimensions are 16ft long x 10ft wide Pros - Phenomenal ventilation, even with the rainfly on - Extremely spacious interior: can (barely) fit 2 queen-sized air mattresses side-by-side - Huge, beautiful windows - The screen room is amazing! Great place to setup some chairs for bug-free lounging. The screen room also helps keep mud out of the bedroom - Multiple storage pouches - Relatively easy to setup (appx 15 minutes with 2 people) - Has port for extension cord. The port has a zipper to keep out bugs - Can stand up inside the tent (6ft 4in tall in center) - Vestibule area in the front of the tent is convenient for stowing gear out of the rain - Floor vent helps with air ventilation when the windows must be zipped up during rain Cons - Very heavy (30+ lbs) - No good place to hang a tent light (the ceiling is entirely mesh) - Storage pouches are high on the walls, which means you must stand up to access the contents - The screen room DOES protect against rain but DOES NOT protect against flooding ground water. The screen room only has tub floors on 3 sides... the front is mesh only. So flooding water could pour in from the front. However, part of the floor in the screen room is mesh, which helps to drain the water. Please note that this issue would only arise in a flood, not a simple rainfall - Screen room doesn't completely zip up, there is a small gap between the zippers which lets bugs inside - Coleman could've picked better colors. This thing looks like it's from the 90s - The rainfly only has partial coverage, which isn't ideal for camping in heavy rainfall. The windows must be zipped up when it's raining, which will contribute to heat buildup inside - Lots of mesh = great ventilation for warm nights... but contributes to poor insulation for cold weather camping. This tent is built for 2 seasons (late spring, summer, early fall) - Expensive - Stakes aren't heavy duty. May need to replace after several uses

Large but leaks and tears/breaks
Good tent, very spacious but leaks in two corners. This seems to be a common issue. Will need to contact Colman to see how they will resolve this. Based on that I might increase my rating. Update: since writing this we had the fabric tear after proper set-up, and one of the poles splice. I have been camping in tents for about 30 years and only ever saw this after a storm. We didn't have any wind gusts so far (just minor rain). Lowered to 1 star until I talk to Coleman. For anyone reading this: when I see negative reviews like this I often go "they probably abused it somehow, that's why it broke". I am extremely careful with things I buy and often yell at people if they are too rough with my things, so please trust that I handled this tend the same. The quality just isn't quite there for "real" camping (the space is amazing though, so for nice weather camping it's probably fine)

Definitely not a new tent!
Received this tent a week ago and just had a nice day to try setting it up for the first time. When I opened the Amazon box I noticed that the bottom of the bag looked torn (missing the expansion strip that comes on new tents). I didn't think too much of it at the time. When I set it up for the first time I noticed that the poles were not in its bag, the tent pegs had dirt on them and were bent and the fly had stains on it. My camping trip is one week away so I do not have time to return it and get a new tent. Very disappointing that the seller is selling used good and saying they're new. Nowhere in the ad or on the invoice does it say used. The tent looks like an amazing tent though I have not used it yet. Its huge (easily big enough for two adults 2 kids and a dog) and very easy to assemble. I am just very disappointed in being sold a used tent at full price.

Worth the money
We love this tent. Spacious and comfortable.Have used this in thunderstorm with wind gust upto 75/80 km per hour and it stood well. Shaking violently but standing fine. This was when the campsite was rocky so the stakes kept bending/ going half way only. We find it very reliable. Have used it in different weather conditions/ campsites and not disappointed. Only improvement I can think of, is clearer instructions to set it up though. We figured it out watching YouTube videos but would have been nice to have it from the Coleman.

Broken pole, can not be used
Fortunately, before the camping day, I tried to install a tent. When I opened the original box, I found one pole was broken!! see Picts! Is it a brand-new tent? Can't imagine that when we camped in the wild, we found that the tent was unusable!

Best tent for family camping
I LOVE this tent. Thanks Coleman for making such a good tent with such a price. The extra room in the front offers so much convenience. It can be used for a change room, a middle place between outside and bedroom, it cuts down a great amount of dirt in the bedroom. Also, no need to be stressful when you are getting out of the tent. Very easy to set up. Strongly recommend this version, tent with weatherproof screen room. After the thunder storm, no leaking inside the tent. It's prefect for front country family camping. (not recommend for backcountry camping, it's quite heavy.) Big thumb up!
