Good but the wheels are wobbly
I use it to transfer patterns to fabric but the wheels wobble and I find I need to be very careful to stay on the lines.

The wheels shift
I just finished marking a pattern I drafted. Needed 3/4" seams as it was a test garment. One wheel shifted in the housing by 1/4 inch, so had to remark several seams. Will be more careful in future...I do like the ease of marking seam allowances with this gadget.

convenient and easy to use
I make my own patterns OR trace purchased patterns and then sketch the alteration on the traced pattern. This tool makes it easy to note the stitching line and the cutting line. The stitching line is important for measuring the inside garment and to remind me of the seam allowance I added.

Clever little gadget
While I wish this had one serrated and one smooth wheel, this works well. I get standard Sean allowances and cut lines which is all I need. It’s very clever though putting the two together on one handle. Saves time and is just generally useful

Great for making your own patterns from your RTW clothes
This is in metric, rather than Imperial units, so my 5/8 inch seam allowance will be a bit wider than 5/8". However, this is the only double tracing wheel I'd been able to find. Kenneth King uses it in his "Jean-ius" Craftsy class, where he teaches how to create a pattern from your favorite pair of jeans, and make a muslin, adjust fit issues, and make the final new "clone" jeans. All without having to take apart the original jeans (aka, you don't sacrifice the fave pair). I am loving that class, and wanted this easy way to add a seam allowance to the pattern (pre-muslin and post-muslin patterns). The other reason I took off a star, is that the handle is NOT ergonomic, sadly.

Needed this for sewing pattern accduracy
I like the fact that I can adjust the space between the wheels to get the right seam allowance that I need for various projects - saves me some time in transfering patterns onto my material.

Easy to adjust a variety of seam line distances
We will be using this still to mark the stitching lines and cutting lines on the sewing patterns made in pattern drafting classes and copying ready to wear clothing.

It's perfect!
This is exactly what I needed. I'm using it to extend pattern sizes. Saw this hack on youtube & it's awesome

An must have 'little helper' tool for your sewing kit
I wish I had known about this tool earlier! The two wheels allow you to trace both your cutting line and seam line at the same time, saving much fiddling about, and helping you achieving perfect results when working on difficult curves and shapings, as well as straight lines. No more uneven distances between your cut and seam! The tool comes packed with the wheels flat. You just have to pull them out of the tool and then replace them facing the other way so you can get wheeling! (Grab the base of the wheel between forefinger and thumb - as close to the tool as possible - and pull it out. Push firmly back in as far as it will go). The tool's handle is angled and this enables you to push down on the top part (closest to the wheels) with your forefinger, to apply necessary pressure. It's comfortable to use the tool whichever way around you prefer to use it and it gives a good marking either way without damaging delicate fabrics. A note about seam allowance. Someone else has said that it's impossible to get a 5/8 of an inch seam because it's a metric tool. Actually I usually do 1 cm seams myself, BUT you CAN very easily do the traditional British 5/8 if you so wish. Just pop the wheels in with two holes separating them (preferably toward the centre of the tool for more even pressure) and there you have it - 5/8 of an inch. Clover are too clever not to have taken that into consideration. If you haven't got exactly 5/8 you can gently push the wheels together a little to get it perfect. I'm enclosing a photo showing mine set up to 5/8. The tool is very versatile - you can put the wheels right next to each other to get a 0.5 cm seam (¼ of an inch) for doing very delicate work such as fabric flowers or 'phone cases etc., and the widest seam possible is 3 cm (or 1 ¼ inches). Like I said, I only wish I'd had one years ago...

Clover Double Tracing Wheel
Your seam line and cutting line can be marked easily and at the same time. The adjustable width ranges between 0.4-1.2in (10 to 30mm) You can also just use one wheel if you want. Awesome little tool!

Useful addition to home sewing equipment.
I bought this to help me mark sewing line accurately especially on curves and corners. Modern patterns don't generally have seam lines printed on them so marking out important reference points on the fabric can be quite fiddly and time consuming. The tracing wheel worked quite well marking up a thick fabric onover dressmakers carbon paper, one layer at a time. I also used it to mark the seam lines onto the paper pattern itself with carbon paper as a permanent guide for tacking up. The double wheels (rounded ends) did not tear the thin pattern paper but would if used several time I think. The adjustable spacing between the two wheels is useful to vary the seam allowance. I can see me using this gadget for other purposes too such as marking embroidery and quilting lines. My only reservation is the wheels are very slightly wobbly and need to be used slowly and carefully.
