Where has this been all my life?

I make clam dip for events and it tends to sit out for hours. My family loves it and refuses to get rid of the dip, even after it's been out... So this is amazing. Now we don't have to worry about people dying at Thanksgiving. Lol. It holds a lot of dip too!

I really like this a lot, only one issue

I love it EXCEPT the snap on plastic lid does NOT snap on, it keeps popping off. This is very inconvenient in transit. I took it to a picnic and in transit the lid popped of and I can never get it to stay on even when I hear a very light snap. It's almost like it's too small so it will not snap on. I'll continue to use it but only at home, I can't take it with me with food already prepped and in the stainless steel bowl, because the lid snaps off and contents spill out, which is very inconvenient!

GREAT dip bowl

We host a lot of parties and are picky about the items we use to serve in. This dip bowl was GREAT to keep dip cool in warmer weather. The clear base allows you to see where the ice is at (solid, melted). The stainless dip section radiates the cool temp from the ice section below. I would definitely buy again or give as a gift. **As an added bonus review-it comes with a round plastic lid-this prevents insects from getting into the dip when outdoors or to store covered in the fridge.

Works great except the lid

Purchased this product so that I could have dips in it when the temp outside is warm. The ice holder makes this possible. Holds a good amount of food so you don't have to worry about filling it all the time. The lid could be better because it doesn't seem to fit properly. I have to work a little to get it to stay on.

Size. Holds a 16 oz. container of sour cream ?

Very nice design, easy to clean, I’m showing a picture to give an idea of holding size because I was a little disappointed in the size. I probably didn’t read everything in the description. It’s actually a good size to keep dips fresh. I have not used it yet but I feel i will be satisfied. Has a nice lid.

Great idea but doesn't work as well as hoped, and the lid closure needs improvement.

Tried this with an egg mayo dip on 25th July, the second hottest day ever recorded (up to 38.1 degrees, though "only" 27 degrees at my house). As it was homemade mayo I wanted it to be kept as cool as poss as bought mayo contains stabilisers and other "non-mayo" chemicals which (to my possible erroneous mind) would make it keep better. But, coolwise, there was no discernible benefit to keeping it in the Prodyne dip container. However, it did look great, very presentable. It'd probably work better in a "normal" British summer. Instead of Prodyne's instructions to use ice and water, I found that 100% ice felt colder. I enjoyed filling and replacing the ice - there's something nicely gadgety about it! I was glad I'd taken the advice of a customer on Amazon USA to buy the version with the stainless steel dip container instead of the version with an acrylic dip container. The stainless steel feels colder, of course. I made the dip in advance and kept it in the container in the fridge, so that it was at its coldest when put out for lunch. The main thing is that the plastic lid needs to be made with a larger lip so that it goes on better and seals better. At the moment you need to be very careful (hold it up to eye level and go all round the circumference carefully) as you can't easily tell if all of the lid has gripped. My guests didn't always replace the lid properly. If you're putting your dip out only for a very short time, you don't need the lid.
