Not really a saddle more of a tractor seat.
These chairs are described as "saddles". You can see from the photos they are actually tractor seats. I don't know if the manufacturer has never been to the country or seen a Western? But seriously, not a saddle! They are good quality, sturdy and easy to put together. We purchased them for our Airbnb because they will be fairly indestructible and go with our theme. In terms of comfort; let's be clear, it's metal. You can't honestly think metal would be something a person would want to sit on for long? We bought it for looks, and because these chairs will last a long time. The craftsmanship is very good. Overall they are really nice chairs. We look forward to showing them off to our guests.

Good deal for the money
I like the barstools as purchased and they were what I expected. They were very simple to put together, had concise instructions and came with extra nuts and covers for the feet. They look nice under the kitchen counter and are really comfy. I am very happy with the height and the adjustability and the tractor seat is really heavy duty. I always appreciate the extra parts and there was a wrench included so you wouldn't have to go get the toolbox. They were extremely well packed. It took longer to unpack them than it did to attach the seat. That being said, there were problems. You can see in the close up of the seat that the alignment of the seat and bolt hole is not perfect. These are only on the two bolts that attach at the rear of the seat. It isn't very visible and it doesn't affect the stability or function but its an aesthetic thing that I didn't like, not a deal breaker. They do have plastic inserts for the feet of the stools and they come with an extra, which is nice. However I put extra felt pads on the feet because they did scratch the LVT in the kitchen. The biggest issue, as you can see, is one of the stools came with a bent leg. Since the packaging was so secure and there was no damage to the box, this appears to be a quality control issue. The seller has been really great about the return, responded to my email on the same day, and will replace the stool happily; though packaging it back up for shipping was not fun.. I will edit this review if the stool hasn't been replaced as promise but I expect no problems.

Sturdy stylish bar stools!
Just what we were looking for! We use these barstools in our pergola. They were simple to assemble, are comfy, and sturdy.

Easy to put together and adjustable
Unpacked and set 2 of these up in about 5 minutes for our bar area. Seat height is easily adjustable and seat spins vert easily to do so. The foot width isn't too big or wide so they tuck up under the counter well. Super versatile in your decor, can go in a dressed up area or super casual area. Welding is fine and doesn't seem too messy. All foot ends and pokey areas were well protected with foam in the box. Did not need to add washers or shims to the seats as some people suggested, I felt the seats sat level and just right, not tipped forward. Added fabric pads to the feet to protect the wood floors. These have a plastic foot on the bottom, otherwise the entire chair is metal.

Very industrial but comfy! Blacker than photo!
So comfy, we bought 4!!! Love these. I think these are pretty comfy and love the swivel. Followed other reviewers suggestion to level out the seats by adding several washers to the front as you assemble.. Otherwise, you lean forward. Seeing the mechanics makes it look real industrial if that's what you are looking for. Beware the four legs do angle outwards so you need a large bar to scoot them under or they will trip people. The angle helps keep them from tipping though! I loved the blackish color with bronze highlights. My tip: Use a black permanent marker and gloves to color any silver screws or washers you use or they show through the seat. Also use felt circles to stick under each leg to protect flooring. You can find these on Amazon, Home Depot or dollar store.

Love these but be aware that feet can scratch wood floors (put cover on them)
We bought these for our Lake house. We love them and I would recommend them, however, you need to know that the feet on these are rough and will definitely scratch wood or laminate floors. I bought some plastic covers to put on them. We just sold the lake house, the pic is from the real estate listing - the buyers specifically wanted these stools to be included! Now we have moved and I just ordered more for this home in the country.

Beautiful and strong
Used for chairs around the island at the cottage. Beautifully finished and much more comfortable than it looks. Built like a tank. Bought two of these and 4 other metal wood topped stools, and people fight to sit on these. May end up replacing all 6 with these ones. Don’t underestimate the value of a spinning seat in a busy cottage to be able to turn and talk to people. Also the height adjustability is huge when you have a gang of all different sizes

Very happy with this purchase. Have changed my mind!
My husband likes this stool. I had mentioned other reviewers said it felt like it leaned forward. He took the time to really look at it and found a way to thread it so it doesn't lean. Only compliant he has is that it can cut into his legs if they dangle. He's a big guy and this stool is very sturdy. Very happy with this purchase. Today February 24th my husband sat on this stool ( like every day) leaned forward and the seat broke off! Landed in his hands. Taking a look at it and found only 4 small welds and bad ones at that you could see where the paint had leached in. Very disappointed!
