Great nailer, nails don’t always slide forward right away
The media could not be loaded. This nailer is awesome! Positive placement so that you know right where the nail is going to fire. The only thing is that the nail strip doesn’t always slide forward completely after a nail is fired. If they don’t slide forward, then you can’t place the next nail easily. Sometimes you have to push the nail rack forward with your thumb - no big deal

A tool !!!
Works like it should. Used it for some ceiling framing in a round house where i needed the hangers. Also used it for hangers on a big deck. Worked in tight quarters on a generator shed at the house.

Great Tool, Highly Recommended
Have two of these, one for holding 2-1/2" nails and the other for holding shorter nails. Changing the nail size in a loaded nailer isn't easy, so swapping out the nailer itself is the way to go. And it's handy to have a spare nailer in the event of a breakdown; but never had a problem, so far. I had one jam which could've been avoided if I had loaded another strip of nails into the nailer sooner. The spring-loaded nail clip looses some force towards the end of a strip of nails, so be sure to reload a fresh strip of nails before the nails nearly run out. Great working in tight places, such as on a recessed deck ledger board with closely spaced joists. Use around 100psi air pressure. It's worth the money, a quality item.

Buy this gun you won't regret it
This gun is a little expensive compared to the MCN150, but it shoots both size nails. If you're doing a lot of joist hangers with double shear requirements, you need 2.5" nails. I've fired over 1000 nails with this gun in the past week and its only jammed twice. I was originally going to buy the one with the long magazine to save 50 bucks, but I'm glad I didn't. I had plenty of instances where I wouldn't be able to fit into a joist bay with the long magazine. Changing nail sizes is a bit of a pain so I found I shot a lot of 2.5" nails instead of switching between the nails.

Great, when it works
This gun is great to use when it isn't broken. I have one of these as well as a hitachi nr65 and this by far outperforms the hitachi in all areas except durability. This gun still looks new because it spends more time being fixed than it does on the jobsite. What I like- Light and compact Integrated skyhook Lots of driving power Light action, low recoil Great at shooting at an angle (safety mechanism is adaptable to real world situations) What I hate: Broken too often Bottom line, if you rely on your guns to make a living, just buy the hitachi...it's drawbacks are far outweighed by its durability

1 trick pony that excels at the 1 trick
ran 2.5" and 1.5" nails thru this gun on a recent job. FLAWLESS operation. I chose the short-magazine model (to fit within joist spacing), so frequent reloads were expected. Time is money. This tool saved a LOT of time- and my elbow.

Gun for nailing Simpson Strong Ties
This is a specialty gun for nailing metal plate connectors in wood framing construction. I've built one house and some small projects with it. Uses specialty nails. I prefer it to hand nailing but many metal fasteners have so many nail holes that you will find the framing material splitting out at the ends. Depends on the metal tie that you are using. More metal fastener plates are being used in so-called modern framing. The short magazine helps get the gun into tight places.

Not Green
Picture makes it look like the gun is green. Parts are actually black. Whatever. I've built all the framing for my 400 sf deck and the gun has been flawless. I'm running on 12 in oc joists so it gets really tight, but this gun is okay for that. A gun that held more nails wouldn't work in these tight spaces. Advertised as being half the weight of competitive guns. Don't know that, but this gun doesn't overwhelm this 59 year old couch potato.

The best joist hanger nail gun
Really the best. I’ve been a carpenter for 10 years now and when I bought this gun I’ve realized how much time I’ve spent using my hammer to nail the joist hanger’s. Now I can do the whole floor in like 30m and before it would take me all day basically. Really the best purchase you can do to save time and money.

Waste of money
Terrible gun, won’t work in cold weather, nothing but problems with mine. Buy the Hitachi gun instead.
