Good but could use improvement
These have great tone, but the reeds don't stay in place very well. I traded off between my reed and this through the 2021 season. It might have slightly better tone for bugles, but not quite as easy for me for chuckling. I did call in a decent bull with it.

It calls in elk
Hands down the best elk bugle I've ever heard. Not the most experienced elk hunter but I can almost always tell another hunter from an actual elk. I called in 2 different hunters last year with this. I borrowed one last season and had to own one. Found out if you damage the reed in the field, you can make one from the finger from a latex glove.

Very easy to use and I handed down my old one to my son and got me another one for me.

Highly recommended.
Love this call. Purchased it for a diy hunt in CO and it was my first hunt. Called a number of Bulls in with it. Takes practice to run it but once you get it it has good sound. Don't forget to purchased extra reeds. They get brittle with a little warm weather.

The best hands down
Hands down the best elk bugle out there. Friend had one on archery hunt this year and the Bulls came running to us with this call. Doesn't have that fake tube sound like others. Came home and had to buy one for myself. And made in the US in MT! Can't beat it

Great call for guides to beginners
I've been elk hunting only 6 years, I tried diaphragms, primos (5 different types) Nothing worked as good as the power bugle great pitch and volumes to locate bulls. I lost my power bugle last season, there was no question about what bugle I was going to replace it with, elk power bugle. The bands can be an issue if you don't have the cover. It's a non issue with it tho.

parts missing
When the package arrived, the lanyard and extra bands were not included. appears the original clear plastic packaging was missing a 'cap' or closure to keep the contents inside.
