These dice are a single shade of medium dark gray. I thought the product image showed a slightly marbled finish, but these are definitely a uniform gray color all around. The gold numbers are a bit hard to read on the gray, so you may not be able to catch them at a glance. You might want higher contrast dice if you're looking to use this on a webcam game like Spelltable. They're also a little lighter than I expected. All in all, they're fine and totally functional. They're worth it at $6 - I just wanted to make it clear the product image isn't very true to life.

Cool dice!

These are awesome dice, chessex always provides and I can stay calm knowing they are going to be balanced properly. They are a bit smaller than all my other dice, but only by a tiny bit. They are pretty light weight too, so beware of that.

These dice are fantastic. I've used the Chessex brand of dice for most of my years RPG'ing at the tabletop. The quality of Chessex dice is bar none and if you need to (as I did), you can simply call or email Chessex for a replacement die if you have a defective one. I had a D10 without the gold imprint on one side of my die and it was quickly replaced. As the customer service response was immediate to a product defect, I still rate these five stars and recommend anyone to purchase game die for any game needs from Chessex. In addition, you'll find that the sheer variety they have to offer is huge. Don't settle for white dice with black pips!!!

Good for the money, nothing to write home about

The dice are exactly what you should expect for the price range: light weight, solid, and nice looking. They are not very-heavily weighted, but I've used more expensive dice that did not appear to be as high quality. For the money, I haven't seen anything that beats these dice out by a noticeable margin, but there are better products available in higher price ranges. I like the dice and they seem to roll with a pretty regular distribution.

Decent dice

These are well made, solid dice. Not exactly my style, but I knew that when purchasing them. Dice are more of a matte finish than glossy, which makes them a bit unique. Kind of have a stone look to them. Solid, affordable set of dice.

Handsome set of dice

Classic Looking Gaming Dice at a steal of a price. Photo and description are accurate. Solid dark grey with copper numbers. Very easy to read and cleanly painted numbers. These are quite handsome in person and come in a plastic Chessex case. Looking forward to gaming with them.
