Women? Buy these pants.
I recommend these pants to any woman who has any curves in their bottom half whatsoever. Seriously. Sick of 'unisex' sizing that has you either pulling your pants up to your underarms or having the crotch swinging almost to your knees? Buy these. You will be so much happier, it won't even matter if you don't get exactly the right size. [Note: I bought the Large and think they fit mostly true to size. If anything, they run a little big.] Waistband is super-stretchy elasticized, but ties with a relatively thin fabric drawstring. I believe it is cut to sit slightly lower-- not quite a low rise, but not something you'll wear at your natural waistline. I'd say they are mid-rise for most people. I'm short, so they sit slightly higher on me. There is room in the hips/butt/thighs for the average range of curviness. However, if you are a lot less or more curvy, you might consider sizing down or up, depending on your personal preference. This size fits me fine, but I prefer tighter than looser fit in pants, as long as I can still bend/move in them. Unfortunately, I have a butt and thighs, so I'll have to wear this size until I lose about one more dress/pants size. Length as-is will be long on most women and possibly short if you're really tall. I ended up hemming them (as I have to do for all of my pants) and reducing the length by about 4". Sorry, I didn't measure the inseam on the large size before I cut them down. I am 5' 4", but have a shorter torso/longer legs, so I am on the short end of regular inseams (~29"). I hemmed these slightly shorter than I typically would. Fabric does not have much 'give'. It's not like the stretchy knit kind of fabric a lot of the checkered pants come in, but it's also not completely stiff like that weird plastic sheeting-fabric some pants are made of. OVERALL, I love these pants. The only reason I haven't bought multiples is I've been losing weight and anticipate needing the medium size relatively soon. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Update: Bought another pair in Medium as I've lost some weight. Just about perfect-- a few more pounds and they'll be great. I will have to hem them, but I think they are slightly shorter inseam than the large, so will have to take up less length. Depending on how you like your pants to fit, I would say they run slightly large. Currently, I wear a size 12 pant and I am between the Medium and Large sizes as far as fit.

Quality product, sizing chart is way off.
I ordered these pants because I am in culinary school, and I wanted pants that were going to look descent on me, but still functional. I could have gone other places and ordered cheaper pants but these are tailored to fit a woman. Now, I am very diligent about doing my homework when it comes to buying a product. I research the company, read any reviews I can find. And I am always weary buying things off-line because of sizing issues. I am an average size 9-10 and I'm 5'6. Not heavy, but I am curvy. According to their sizing chart I should have been in a L. So thats what I ordered. When it arrived yesterday though, they were equivalent to a XL. However, I must say, I am not disappointed what-so-ever with the quality And the length was great for me, but I could see a problem for anyone who may be shorter, they would have to be hemmed. I am returning them and having a M overnighted to me. So just make sure you order a size smaller than what you normally wear. The waist is a drawstring, and it gives you about 2 inches of extra fabric, if needed. I could probably even fit in a S, but I think the looseness of a M will make them more comfortable. So, I highly recommend them. They have deep pockets in the front, and velcro pockets in the back. When I get the correct size I will be sure to post pictures.

Not great for shorter ladies with larger booties
These will definitely prevent chaffing, heavy material, and seems well made... however they are far too long and not enough room in the butt.

Great pants...a little pricy
After my first week of school I was left with one pair of pants in that chafed me in all of the WRONG places. I was on the hunt to get a new pair before I had to put them back on for school the next week. These are fantastic. Everyone said that they run huge so I went ahead and got the XS (Im 5' 6" and 123lbs) they are a little snug...not to the point that they are uncomfortable but probably will be just fine after I wear them all day. The length is perfect and the fabric is SO much nicer than the ones I got from school. My only complaint is that they were almost $40. The rise is just a tad bit low for my liking too. Not enough for me to feel as though they will be uncomfortable...just a personal preference sort of thing. The only reason I gave them a four star rating is mostly because of my personal preferences. You will love these pants! Get them!!!

Good fit
Good fit, wish they were higher waisted though. I hate feeling like my pants are falling down. They hang just below my belly button.

Your search is over
I first bought these pants in an xtra small reading reviews on sizing. I am a curvy 5'1" at 115. Xtra small was rough to get around my bottom but I managed it. However I returned them in exchange for a small and I am so glad I did. I have tried pants from all over and these are the most comfortable, flattering chef pants I could find. I do need to hem them but I have to do that with almost any pant. I will be purchasing another.

Fit well but a little long
I purchased these pants to use as a Halloween costume. When they arrived I was happy to find that they are very well made. I'm 5'3" and 120lbs. The size XS are exactly the right size in the waist but the length is much too long. Maybe an extra three or four inches. The material is checkered, not houndstooth like I'd hoped, but all in all they are still nice quality pants. Deep pocks.

Dont buy if you have junk in the trunk
The legs are wide enough for 2 people, im a 2x but bought a 3x as they have a drawstring, well the 3x is so tight aroynd my average sized bum to even try to wear if i bent at all id rip the seams. Not true to size. Size up by 2 sizes unless youre shaped like a small boy. Also pant legs like 6" too long and im 5'5

no good if you are curvy
They did fit, but rode down when I bent over. The material is a bit rough too. I tried washing them a few times but they did not soften.

Way too small
So I normally wear a womens large petite. I bought these in a XL, and I could barly squeeze them over my butt. I would have to lose about 20 pounds to even be able to wear them. The material however is not bad. Just wish they would size correctly.

Happy customer!
I was hesitant about buying it, but It really does fit true to size, it's comfortable. I told my coworkers how much these are comfortable and a few coworkers are going to get this as well!
