Great
Exactly what we were looking for. Practice with it in slow motion up to 7 yards then gradually work back to 13 and 15 yards. Also do limited reps at 13 to 15 yards. It will start hurting your elbow if you snap for a prolonged period at those distances and speeds.

Great for WRs too!!!
I assume most people buy this for overweight arm strengthening. At 2 lbs it is a little heavy. If you are using it for this, then pay close attention to their form and reps. I have found with limited reps focued on form their have been definite arm strength improvements. My players really enjoy throwing it lightly early in their warm ups. The ball comes flying out of their hands the rest of their session. The biggest surprise and this is even more beneficial for my WR. I throw it mostly underhand but the ball comes in with a load. your are better off catching this in your hands than your body. Which is exactly what we are trying to train WR transitioning from body catching to hands catching. It also teaches them how to receive the ball rather than stiff hand it. If you Stiff hand the ball it actually hurts a little. I have found the ball is really strengthening their hands and arms. The regular football no longer longer beats them up. They are all catching the regular ball even better. The more advanced players can receive over the top throws, but it has quite a load. I love throwing this ball at an adult who doesn't realize its overweight. The reaction on their face is priceless. This ball is great. The exterior is super thick and I can't imagine it breaking down any time soon.

I purchased the black & yellow 2lbs intermediate football; for our teams (kids ages 10-14) •Their hands were able to wrap around it. •Not too heavy, has good grip. •Short throws for their age groups. Just to build strength. Not to injure themselves. (Do not throw pass 10-15yards) •Helps reciever catch easier. Catching the weighted ball was harder for them in the beginning but mostly because of fear. •Great to run, get handoffs/pitches down. Overall parents & kids thought it was so cool, we may take it to the beach to run with.

This is a game changer! Super heavy, great quality, this trainer football has improved my throws and helped to improve my overall strength and accuracy. Def recommend it!

Worth the price
Great quality ball! My 12 year old was impressed with it and happy with the gift. The only complaint was that the ball is a little slippery, almost like it has a grease film over it. Easy to deal with for the price though!

NO LIGHT WEIGHT....
I ordered this 3lb. weighted football becaause wanted to increase the weight as my son progressed useing the 2lb. ball.this is no light weight,anyone who's thinking about adding a weighted football to a players spring throwing workouts.please be aware this is not an item that should be used without proper supervision.this tghing is HEAVY.3lbs may not sound like alot,but try throwing it.and it's like cement covered in rubber.it can be a great tool for increasing arm strength.I have two son's both play the QB position one's on JV and the other.s on Varsity. I started them using these footballs in Jr High during the off season.they are great their arm strength increased each season by an average of 4 to 5 yards on deep passing.and nice volicity as well,advice to all who get this football,keep the distance between the two people throwing it at 8 to 10 yards,and use proper catching technique to prevent jaming or breaking a finger or two.GOOD LUCK ...

It does the job.
So far so good this product. My teenage brother in law is getting good use of it and his strength and speed of his throws have benefited from it. Definitely a product I would recommend to whom ever wants to improve their abilities as a QB.

great buy,very good weight,anything over 2 pounds would be way to heavy! this is a official size football not for smaller kids! does hurt when u catch it a bit...imagine playing catch with a 2-pound weight! great for teens and adults! worth the price!
