This is the brain of the Carrera digital 132/124 system and it allows you to use all the digital features sold separately, pit lane, driver displays, lap counter, position tower, start light, etc. It's what you need if you have an older digital system with the "black box" controller. If you have a Carrera analog system such as "evolution" and want to go digital, this is the first piece you would need but consider purchasing a new set. The only thing you can use from the analog system without modification is the track itself. A new digital set will give you the control unit, controllers (go wireless), the transformer, a couple of lane change sections, a couple of digital cars. Then use all your old track to expand the new layout. You can add digital chips to the analog cars if you want.

Excellent!

It is so much easier to use this product vs the old black box that came with my Set. It's a must have if want the full experience of your Carrera Digital 132 or 124 track set. I also paid a lot less than I have if I bought it from the local hobby store.

Die neue Control-Unit erhöht den Spassfaktor

Als die Lieferung kam war ich ein wenig überrascht. Es war keine Verpackung dabei, es war nur die nackte Control-Unit. Nach Prüfung fand ich heraus das es im Verkaufstext steht, aber man übersieht es leicht. In der Annahme wie bei Carrera ist unter der Nummer die Original Einheit + Stromadapter ist es nur die CU. Es ist wieder mal bei Amazon schwer zu erkennen wann es ein Original Verkaufsprodukt und wann eine "abgespeckte" Fassung ist. In der Eile vor Weihnachten übersieht man es leicht. Ist kein Fehler des Verkäufers, die Lieferung war soweit voll in Ordnung, die Anleitung ist dabei. Die neue Control-Unit erhöht den Spaßfaktor enorm und erleichtert die Einstellungsmöglichkeiten von Carrera Digital 132 sinnvoll. Der Kontakt mit dem Verkäufer war vorbildlich und die Lieferung sehr schnell. Vor Weihnachten nicht immer so.

Bringt echt mehr Spaß und Spannung in die Rennen

Die Digital Control Unit wurde ja schon mehrfach top rezensiert. Daher eher kurz dargestellt, was mir daran besonders gefällt. Die Programmierfunktionen gehen jetzt wirklich leichter und schneller von der Hand. Die Startfunktion nutzen wir (mein Sohn und ich) häufig. Ist jetzt nicht die riesen Sache, aber erzeugt doch ein bißchen Nervenkitzel. Was wir praktisch immer nutzen, ist die Pace Car Funktion. Wir nehmen eines unserer drei Autos als Pace Car/Hindernisfahrzeug (ist bei uns der F1 Alonso) geben ihm eine definierte, nicht zu schnelle, Geschwindigkeit mit und lassen ihn fahren. Genial dabei ist, dass das Pace Car auch die Spuren wechselt. Und zwar entweder bei jeder Weiche oder rein zufällig. Kann man an der Control Unit einstellen. Das macht die Rennen sauber spannend und aufregend. Klare Empfehlung meinereits. Bereichert die Bahn ungemein.
