Does not slow cat down much
Am interested in trying some food puzzles to provide enrichment to my foster cat who is on a weight loss plan. Wanted to start out simple with this digger. He seems to be very good at it, so it does not slow him down much (scoops out a large amount of kibble at a time). I think he needs to graduate to the next level already. Unable to fit a 5.5 oz can in the storage section.

No Puke!
Has definitely made a difference on how she eats! She is forced to actually chew her food as to her being able to just scarf as much food that she wants. She has to grab her food with her paw set it down then chews it which definitely slows her whole process down. I’m sure once she gets the hang of it she’ll get fast at it but as long as it’s a bit of a challenge for her so she doesn’t puke I’m one with it . Another plus is u can store food inside it . Overall definitely happy with this purchase.

Oreo LOVES this feeder!!!
I bought this feeder for my cat Oreo. I was trying to slow down his feeding so he doesn’t gobble everything up at once. This has helped so much!!! Now I can feed him before I go to bed and I don’t have him waking me up at the crack of dawn to be fed. This has helped my sleep and my chunky kitty to not be so hungry because he finished his food all at once. Definitely the slow feeder that I needed for him.

Great feeder, helps control overeating.
Great food dish. Wide so no "whisker distress", made out of a smooth plastic/silicone material that's easy to clean, nothing sticks to it to and nothing gums up like some plastic dishes I bought. The center hole is awesome for self-feeding dry kibble. When I feed dry, I measure out his morning/eve feed in the 'main' and put some extra in the hole. So if he's eaten but later is *actually* hungry, he has access without having food splayed out. He's a big boy (was almost 16 pounds when I adopted him 6 mos ago) and needs to drop a few (and has but a little more won't hurt.) I see him staring at the dish or the food in the hole sometimes trying to decide if he's hungry enough to dig some out (which means it's working.) Sometimes he'll paw some out and sometimes he'll just go to the water or go do something else so I know he wasn't really that hungry and if food was "just there" he probably would have munched down for no real reason. Also when he paws some out of the hole, it's just *some* so again, he's gotta think about if he's hungry enough and get some more instead of just munching on whatever's splayed out in front of him. I've seen him do that a few times too where he goes in once or twice and sits and stares deciding if he wants more. And it's not like the food is deep in the hole (I fill it to about 3/4) so really it's just the act of having to put in a bit of effort vs. it just being there that makes him think, and it's enough to slow him down. Also works when I occasionally feed him wet. I can tell if he's just being a bit finicky or genuinely dislikes it because I'll put the wet in the 'main' dish and dry food in the hole. If he really doesn't like the wet I put out (he's strange like that - some he likes and some, after first time, he'll never touch again) then he'll just reach over and dig out the dry. It's gotten to where I know now and leave a side of the main dish empty so he can paw out dry if he wants it onto a clean area of the dish. Sometimes even with wet he likes, I'll see him paw out a bit of dry and have a bite of wet and a bite of dry. Sophisticated tastes on this one!

My cat hasn’t figured it out :(
I had the Catit tree feeder (which we love but it’s noisy to fill & you hear everytime he eats which is all day!) so I thought I’d try another option. He hasn’t used it once, unless the food spills into the top dish. He can’t seem to get it out of the cup I guess

Discourages the cat from overeating
Our new cat would gorge himself on food, getting it down as soon as he could, then he'd throw it all up. With this, he can still eat dry food whenever he likes but he has to exert a little effort to pull the kibble up with his paw, so he eats enough but not too much. To get him interested, I would hide a treat at the bottom, but now the treat is the first thing he goes fishing for, then he eats the kibble. This feeder solved a problem for us and we're please with it.

Best automatic cat water fountain EVER!
There's nothing to dislike about this at all. Like, seriously, I can't eve think of a single issue. I've used other fountains like these and they all got super-dirty within a few days, some leaked, or the impeller broke. This one keeps the water fresh for days (I still wash it every few days, though), you can use the flower or not, the filters don't cost a ton and last a while, it holds like almost a gallon, and the cats all love it.

More interesting than a basic bowl
I don't use this as a standalone feeder, more as a way of offering a backup bowl for when they finish the easier to access bowls. Kitten and Sensible Cat are quite adept at pawing food out of the pit, which is handy as it means they can get a top up of food without Lazy 3-Legged Cat stealing it. However Lazy 3-Legged Cat (who can't use the pit easily with only one front leg) has now learnt how to access the food by forcibly knocking it over and scattering food over the floor. While I'm sure this wasn't the environmental enrichment and mental stimulation it was designed to provide, at least it's got him using his brain...

My 3 have taken to it ...less mess from wet food
I already have many catit items including water fountain and the twin glass dish holder, but I thought this would be a compact ‘dish’ for when they travel in the motorhome with me....floor covered in cat food bowls, mats etc. Trying it out at home at the moment to get them used to it. All of them immediately took to eating meat from the green top layer. They’ve yet to get the hang (or be bothered) to get kibble or treats from centre hole. It is not large enough to be only food dish (even for one cat in my opinion), unless just for one meal. But this will be useful in motorhome as top section with uneaten wet food easily removed & put in fridge when we are on the move & popped out again for immediate serving of cats whilst I get motorhome pitched up & then van put out their catit glass bowls. Useful as I can store treats etc in bottom so very handy for travelling. So far, they create far less mess with the wet food in this than all the other raised & whisker bowls I’ve tried. It is also easy to clean. So far, I’ve had no problems with cats tipping it over....& I have 2 energetic blue boys & food obsessesed girl (as rescued from ho,e where obviously underfed) so she is very forceful getting to food bowl and scoffing it down. Despite dry food being available ....but only had it 48 hours so far

No more fat cat
No more normal food bowels, where our cat would eat like a pig and puke up. Now he has to work for it. He is 14 years old, but after a week he worked out how to scoop up a bit of food at a time. He now only eats what he needs, is faster, is grooming himself again and looking better after just a month.

Actually amazing; A+
The media could not be loaded. My incredibly stubborn fossilized 12 year-old cat started using this thing. She's fat; she's cranky; and I love her, but it was impossible to keep her from binge eating before this. At first, it didn't appear that she ate. She hated the thing. Seemed depressed. I had to fill it up pretty high, and she'd stick her stupid face into the hole and desperately eat out of it. I was picking the food out of the hole in front of her to see if she could maybe comprehend it a little; she didn't. I even stuck her paw into it the hole for her, and she'd fall over giving up. Eventually, the stars aligned, and she started using her paw. Probably out of desperation. Not only is she exercising more, it is also helping her proportion out her diets, and actually start feeling full before all the food is gone. This product is a godsend with a little patience. If my grandma of a cat can do it, yours can. Highly recommend.

Love it!
The media could not be loaded. Took my kitten some time to figure this bowl out, he would see the food inside and just scream at me, so I used to take his own paw and show him how to get food out and now he finally does it himself! It keeps him from being greedy and from eating too fast. The hole is great for dry food and the slant is great for wet food without him getting “tired whiskers”. The fact that is raised also helps with his digestive system, cat it did it well!
