It works, but not every time.

You need to keep trying different times. One microwave burned it. The next one popped good but I got allot of old maids. I will figure it out, but I actually prefer my air popper that is 35 years old. When it dies, I will get serious about this popper.

Safe, Non-toxic Popper

I was looking for a safe way to pop popcorn that did not have plastics or chemicals. This one is perfect. My family can't get enough of this popcorn. A great wholegrain snack and a healthy way to prepare it.

Proof positive that women should do the dishes

I love this popcorn popping jar but it is not flawless. Pros - Great popcorn without a new corded appliance Dishwasher safe Nice glass - it's like the pot of an electric coffee maker Yummy popcorn No microwave popcorn chemicals and cheaper As much butter as you want Cons - -The neck size - Popcorn is challenging to get out through the neck after popping. It can only be hand washed by someone with smaller hands. I'm a medium size dude and my hand can not get in there. My wife wears a medium lady glove and she's just fine. Proof positive women should be doing the dish washing. -not all corn pops. -may take some experimenting to find your perfect pop recipe. For us it's 1/2 cup corn inside, half stick butter on top, set microwave (ours is powerful) for 5 min and listen until popping slows. I really like this product. It is not perfect, but it is good. We've used it everyday since we got it and see it being a part of our snack life for a long time.

Easy to use, but has some flaws

I like making my own popcorn because I can control what goes in it (and it's less expensive than the microwave stuff). This is a nice little popper! We use about 1/2 cup of kernels and a dash of canola oil, put it in the microwave on the 3 OZ popcorn setting, and watch it. It takes about 3 minutes to fully pop, and leaves few unpopped kernels. It's cute, and it saves the waste of the bags and their plastic. The reusable popcorn cups are also fun...it includes 4 of them, and they make for a nice "at the movies" touch. There are a few things we don't love about it. -- it gets HOT. Like really hot. You have to take it out with potholders, but also set it on a trivet or it can damage your countertop. --the narrower neck makes it difficult to get the popcorn out after it's popped. You have to shake it pretty hard to get it out because of the shape. -- the butter "dispenser" on the top doesn't work very well. It puts a bunch on top and very little elsewhere. It's better to just melt your own butter and pour it over once it has been dispensed. -- it's made in China (but it's glass, not stoneware, so I worry less about dangerous chemicals leeching into my food). Overall, I like this. It's smaller than a popcorn machine, making it easier to store and clean. It doesn't present the fire danger that paper bags do. It's flawed, but it's still worth having if you make a lot of popcorn.

Love Love This Popcorn Maker...

My wife loves popcorn, eats it all the time, so this was for her and she says... Honestly I have never tried a microwave popcorn popper, this is my first one. I don't know why I waited to try them! I love microwave popcorn but when you can make much more with popcorn in a jar and on the stove, it's just better all around. We have a bunch in our pantry so figured why not try the microwave popper. It's much easier, you don't have to shake it (bad for electric stoves!) and you don't have to stand there while it's popping to make sure it doesn't burn. This popper does it all, you just put the popcorn in, place the silicone lid on and put butter in the lid (if you like) and boom you have some awesome and quick fresh popcorn. The one thing I will say and this is user error, when they say put in a half a cup of popcorn, they mean just that. I accidentally on purpose went a bit more, didn't think it could hurt but, well, ya just do half a cup. Even my bit extra packed the popcorn in the glass popper so much so I needed a spoon to get it out hahaha It still tasted great, but just a bit difficult to get out in the end. Also, the only thing that would make it better is a deeper lid for more butter. I love this microwave popcorn popper and give it 5 stars.

Perfect for popcorn lovers

I love popcorn so I was extremely excited to receive this and was overly satisfied when it arrived! The box it is delivered in was even great and gives you a fun fact about popcorn! I also want to add that I was completely unaware (probably due to me not reading the details and just ordering it out of excitement!) it comes with 4 popcorn holders and the jar was definitely bigger than I expected as well, but honestly wasn’t sure what to expect. **I gave 5 starts for easy to clean because I have little hands so it is easy for me to clean by hand, but it may not be as easy for someone who has average or big hands. The seller does provide you with easy instructions to use and clean and it is dishwasher safe! So as previously mentioned I’m overly satisfied with the item and the seller did awesome with packaging and providing great information! ❤️

Surprisingly decent

It's definitely easy to clean and use. The opening is a little small so it can be a little difficult to get your hand in it. I prefer to use butter flavor popcorn oil and mix it up really well before popping it. It makes it taste better than melting butter. I have a movie theater popping machine and it taste closer to that then anything else I've tried. I will use this more. You just have to be careful because the popper is very hot and you will burn yourself.
