Great product arrived on time
This is perfect for my kayak. Holds all my tackle and is water repellent. Very sturdy for a break down crate. Lots of options for adding other items to the outside. We'll made. Perception has not let me down yet.

Lid isn't waterproof, it's water resistant
Love the container, fits perfectly in the Perception Outlaw 11.5. Left it on the kayak yesterday when it rained all day. Went to take the lid off and found that a large pocket of water had accumulated in the inside lining of the lid. No way to drain it but to let it seap out slowly. This is supposed to be waterproof as shown in the video and I'm sure the material is but the seams are not.

Lightweight, holds a lot
While I kayak in the ocean, I do not fish. So I wasn't looking for all the fishing gear oriented kayak crates. I liked this option. It's large, but still lightweight. Considering it's collapsible, it's surprisingly sturdy. However, it is not a rigid milk crate. You can't expect to be able to stand on it and have it hold you up. One issue I did experience: I got hit by a rogue wave. It didn't flip my kayak (I swear, my kayak is magic. I haven't been able to flip it, even when trying.), but it did dump a ton of water into it. My crate ended up half-filled with water (I'm still uncertain if the wave knocked the lid back and that's how the water got in, or if it the water came in the wrong way through the one-way valve in the floor of the crate). But the crate did not drain on it's own like it's supposed to (through the one-way valve), but it may have been clogged with sand, or something inside the crate may have blocked the drain). I'll need to test it more to see if it's working properly. But aside from that, I've been very happy with the crate. It's quite large, very lightweight, collapsible when not in use, and has lots of places to anchor attachments and lash the crate to the boat, etc.

Great kayak box
Holds everything I need plus more. I haven’t taken it on the water yet but I left it in the rain last night and everything inside stayed dry. I wish it had little rubber feet so it slide around as easily but once tied down it’s very secure. There is a little drain hole in the inside and with the lift from the feet if any water does get in it will drain out easily. I’m really liking this box. Extremely lightweight yet seems very durable. Folds up for easy storage in my RV and quickly pops out when ready to use.

Much Too Flimsy
I wanted to like this crate…it’s light weight and nice looking, but unless you pack it from corner to corner and top to bottom it collapses on itself with the slightest weight on top of it. I use bungee straps on my kayak (which puts minimum pressure on the top of the crate) to hold it in place and the whole thing gets squashed. After two attempts to use it I have decided to look for something much more rigid.

The best kayak crate for me.
I must have every kayak crate ever made, and a couple I made myself, but this one is the first I have felt completely comfortable with. Not sure of all the reasons, but I am only 5'7" tall and its low profile makes it easier to see inside and easier to reach into than most. It is light and holds 12 of the smaller Plano style tackle boxes which is plenty for me. I just like its design, the material, and the size...all good! Also, if I have to reach to the bottom for anything the sides just fold down like you would expect from a soft material, instead of just sitting there and scratching or causing pain pushing against your arm. Works perfect for me.

Everything but the kitchen sink
Nice kayak crate that holds all my tackle boxes plus other gear and keeps them nice and dry. Like that the bottom has legs that keep it from sitting in water all day, easy to open and latch shut with cord.

Great design and materials. Perfect for my Tamarack Angler 100
This crate is very thoughtfully-designed and made of quality, weather-resistant materials. The semi-structured construction is forgiving in terms of mounting on surfaces that may not be uniform. I mounted it behind the seat on my Tamarack Angler 100. Four carabiners go through the D-rings on the crate and attach to the existing elastic cord on the stern of the boat. Attaching and detaching can be done in about 10 seconds. The lid is easy to use: the buckles act as hinges and the latches closed with a single elastic cord over a hook. Shown with optional rod holders.
