Super small!
Felt cheaply made. I put sugar rocket fuel and had a blast. I mean, the lightness of it definitely made the rocket go faster until it burned up. If it was stronger, maybe itd keep going and maintain the necessary pressure to go longer. This is for kids though, so I didn’t expect anything nice lol

Cute little rascal
My boys got me back in the model rocketry hobby a month or two ago, aka blowing money on Amazon for every kit in the book. It was bound to happen and I gave in to the irresistible qualities of this little rocket. It showed up on a warm afternoon a week ago and I quickly assembled it and gave it two or three coats of primer. Hey! I wanted this thing as smooth and aerodynamic as possible! Turns out I did too good a job slicking it up. Then I applied a coat of metallic black paint. It was perfect. I even promised my oldest son he could borrow it for his display at school on his report on model rocketry. The warm weather continued and sadly today as I type this review of a fun little rocket, my son has no rocket to display next week and I am anxiously hoping the replacement shows in time. And this time I will be using engines from Quest that are a 1/8A size. I also will not be launching this one on its maiden flight in a 10mph spring zephyr! In my defense, I used a 1/4A3-3T engine for the maiden flight. However, it was apparently aerodynamic to a point of reaching near earth orbit even on the pipsqueak engine. Good thing I didn't go for broke and use the A10-3 I had with me, the prez would right now be trying to assure Moscow that the hit on the space station was NOT a deliberate attack! So grab one (or ten) for yourself! It's a ton of fun to build and launch. Just don't set your heart on getting every one back that you launch. And stick with still days and small engines!

Fun little rocket
This rocket is easy to build and really flys. If you put a more powerful engine in it it disappears from sight, my grandson thinks I sent it into space. All you see is a puff when the engine ejects. I would use the lower power engines unless you want it to disappear ????

Too small, flies out of sight, good luck finding it!
The Mini Mosquito is truly mini. Perhaps even Micro. I was surprised by the packages - my first thought was that they had neglected to include the rocket body, as I thought the actual rocket body was a component part. Seriously, VERY SMALL. However, the thing flies insanely high - which is actually a problem, because it's so small that it flies right out of sight. Add to that, the fact that it has no parachute - once it's above three or four hundred feet, you'll be lucky if you ever see it again. My first launch was in the middle of a baseball diamond (near second base), never to be seen again. The second launch (I bought two), from the same spot, happened to land near first base - fortunately, we *heard it*, and *then* looked to see it over there. We found the third launch, also, but one of the fins had come off - not surprising, since they are just glued on with no mechanical tabs or anything to help the glue. So, while it's exciting to launch a rocket SO HIGH, it kind of loses some of the fun when you can't even see how high, and when you can't see it come down. I doubt I will buy any more of the Mini Mosquito.

My fav rocket!
I’ve been doing model rock a tree since I was a kid and at 57 and doing it with my grandkids, it’s a blast to shoot this little rocket and try to find it! The paint scheme that’s on the bag is the same paint scheme I used and it’s easy to find. I still love this little rock it as much as I did as a kid.

TINY TINY Rocket, Hard to spot in flight, Works Great if using 1/2A or Less motors
This thing is quite tiny and the picture to sell it really throws you off. Not much bigger than a chapstick tube this little thing will take only the small "A" motors. I recommend using the "1/2A" or LESS. We built 2 of them and the first one disappeared instantly not to be recovered for most of the day. The second one happened to go up and dart straight back down not too far from where we were launching. after 2 launches like that the fins ended up barely hanging on so we quickly just taped them back on... The little guy still flew just fine until we upped the motors to the full "A" motors. That is when we lost the second one. By the end of the day we found both of them, one being about 100 yards away from the launch pad and the other being about 200 yards away. The Wind speed was fairly minimal too. Luckily we have a large grass fields nearby or we may not have found either. All in all its a fun rocket for the kids but it is pretty much impossibly to see even using the 1/2A motors.

Great Inexpensive Kit That's Easy to Build
I had a number of these as a kid and never saw any of them ever again after launch. If you can believe it, we've launched this little guy NINE TIMES now and still have it. Every single fin has come off at least once and the nosecone blew off once, but we always manage to find all the parts and glue it back together. We launch from the rocketry area out at El Mirage Dry Lake (34°37'27"N 117°33'30"W), and our search technique is to have everyone "freeze" and be completely silent as soon as we see the tracking smoke. With three sets of ears listening we always hear the "bonk" of the rocket hitting the lakebed, which gives us a bearing to where it landed. There's just no chance of seeing it come down- it once landed within ten feet of the launch pad and no one saw a thing.
