Great Costume Accessory!

We ordered this for my son to wear for a Halloween Costume, and also for daily enjoyment. The Helmet is quite large was able to easily fit everyone in our family. The foam on the curved shoulder cutouts were a great addition for comfort but I feel that overall it could use something like foam inside to help keep it in place. Without anything inside to keep it from wobbling around it’s almost the same as putting a bucket on your head which made it a bit tricky for our son to manage. I would buy this again but my overall opinion is that the price could come down slightly to compensate for the fit adjustments. If you are small to average sized be prepared to wear something underneath to keep it stable.

Absolutely awesome astronaut helmet

My son absolutely loved ❤️ the astronaut helmet. It's well made, sturdy and most importantly it's large enough that would last him a while since it fits an adult.

Great for the imagination!

We bought this for our 4 year old son, and he LOVES it! It has great features and the overall quality is great too. The visor automatically goes up with the push of a button and then they have to manually put it down. On the other side, there is another button that they push and the built in earpiece inside the helmet counts down to take-off. The only thing I'd say is that the it's HUGE and takes some practice for the little ones to keep on their heads. While there are little cut outs for it to rest on their shoulders, it would be better if it had more padding inside the better the overall fit. Either way, he loves it and that's all that matters.

I was concerned at first but...

Initially I was concerned that i would not fit my daughter. But I read a review where someone said that it fit their 25 year old son so I took a chance and I am glad I did. First the package arrived on time and a little early that expected. I tried it on first and it fit over my head just fine and I am a 40 year old adult. My 10 year old daughter fit it just fine with no problems. It is the final piece to her costume for a Black History wax museum project at her school. She mentioned that it was a bit uncomfortable on her shoulders but the product does recommend that you could add additional foam like weather stripping foam for a more comfortable and custom fit, which I think we will do. Besides that It was a great purchase and I am happy that I went with this. She will be using and playing with this long after this project is over!

Very large just like others have stated

I knew this item would be too big, but my 6.5 year old daughter loves it anyway. Sometimes the visor opens while it is being stored in the astronaut backpack. Only has one recorded message. Powered visor is a nice feature. Both buttons are labeled on the sides with stickers, not sure how long the stickers will stay on. NASA logo has been painted on the back of the helmet (not shown in photo). Fake buttons on front are painted (so glad their not stickers). Thick plastic, so it should be durable. Helmet is two pieces glued together, I hope the glue holds. My daughter is very gentle with her stuff so it should last a long time. For the quality, I feel I paid too much, but compared to the other options that I could find, it was worth it to pay more for this and hope we can get 3 years out of it, versus paying less and getting 3-6 months.

Cute but has a design flaw

This helmet is aesthetically very cute and is made of a durable plastic. The intercom has no volume control however, the volume is not too loud for a small child. My 8 year old daughter wore this helmet for Halloween. As many others have complained, this helmet is too oversized for smaller children; I can fit my head inside the helmet and still have some room left over, with no problem. Even my daughter, looked somewhat like a bobble-head with the huge helmet over her head! But what is worse, is the push-button visor feature; it is impractical for a helmet that is labeled "junior" & marketed for children, to only operate with a pushbutton feature. The push-lock feature used to close the visor, should be the same feature used to open it…not a push button. As many others have stated in the reviews, this makes the helmet more prone to malfunction or to be easily broken if mishandled or dropped. My daughter only wore this helmet for 24 hours on Halloween; after hours of pushing & releasing the visor/button all day, I carefully put the helmet back in the box. I started to walk away & heard the visor pop-up and release on it's own, in the box. After, removing the helmet from the box, I observed the visor would no longer work… it was broken. I was able to return and exchange it with Amazon, hassle free. But the point is, it should not have broken after 24hrs use; that visor button needs to be redesigned as it is flawed & impractical.
