Cute and modest

Love love love these shorts! The yellow is a bright neon- fun for summer. Purchased a size 10 which was perfect and even a little big. After reading the manufacturer web site I was afraid I’d have to size up- glad I didn’t. Nice long modest length for the mature woman :) The 10” length fit well above the knee but not too short when seated. The fabric is soft and hubby approved.

Runs REALLY big!

I'm 5'9", 138lbs, long waisted. Were a 4 in the shorter version of the Carve shorts but ordered a 6 after I read reviews. Should have just ordered my regular size...the 6 was huge! Like zip & buttoned and could still slide them off...oy. 3-4" big in the waist, really baggy in the seat. But same fit and really soft thin corduroy fabric as the Oahu shorts, which I love. So these are going back, already ordered the correct size.

GREAT SHORTS

I have been looking for these for years ! I really like the Bermuda length and corduroy shots have always screamed 'beach' to me. They are really comfortable- they stretch just enough to feel like athletic shorts,but look like casual shorts. I have purchased them in many colors- I'll never look for another pair of Bermuda shorts. Below the waist so very comfortable- but they come in a high waist version as well. They run a bit big- I am 5'5" 154 pounds and bought the size 10.

Boyfriend Fit in a Nice Summer Weight Short

Founded in 2003 to provide women with performance surf/beach & lifestyle wear, Black Diamond invested in them in 2016 and this has significantly upped prices on all items with almost zero sale items beyond 5% or so. Ergo, loss of one star b/c of the high price. But, you do get what you pay for - i.e. the Carson Jean is a high quality, expertly dyed fabric in 99% cotton with just the 1% spandex that helps retain shape, so no baggy knees. No company is offering this higher percentage of cotton in their jeans these days. Back to these shorts: Who doesn't think of Ocean Pacific corduroy short from the 90's when you look at these? I had those 5" shorts in 5 colors. These are a thinner 3-season corduroy that drapes nicely and doesn't make the scissor sound when I walk. The fit is "boyfriend" style or looser in the butt and thighs which I am more comfortable (no one wants to see that much of anyone over 50's body). These are cute and in the longer length, much desired for pairing with a linen flowy top. Now looking for them in black.
