Great fit faucet will be much easier to operate
You need this if your shower faucet is hard to turn off and on. These have a rubber seal that degrades and drys out over time. My old inserts were sloughing off small pieces of rubber into the water. If you see black specs in your water this is why.

Perfect fit for the 7105 shower valve
I always watch a lot of YT videos to learn how to replace this cartridge. I wish i took some pictures to document the install. Also, make sure to read a lot of the comments to get some good pointers. Very helpful. After i changed the tub spout with diverter, i wanted to change the shower cartridge. It wasn't smooth pulling the handle out. Doesn't look it has ever been changed. Make sure to use silicon grease. After i pulled out the old cartridge, i cleaned and greased the chamber where the cartridge goes in. When i tried to push the new cartridge in, it wouldn't go all the way in where i could screw in the locking nut. As i pulled it back out, i saw the O ring that was left in from the old cartridge. Its a good thing that i wasn't able to screw the lock nut. Otherwise i would have a major leak that i would not know about. I remember watching a video that the guy said to make sure there is nothing left in the chamber. Get a flashlight and shine inside. That tip i forgot to do. After i got the old O ring out, i greased the chamber again and slide the new cartridge in with no problem. I didn't install the cover plate yet. i screwed the handle back on to the cartridge and did a test run with the water on. Turning left to right, push and pull out several times. Looking to see if there was any sign of leaks. NONE! Then i removed the handle, put on the cover plate, and then screwed the handle back on. Now it operates smooth like buttah! Buying another to replace the master bathroom cartridge.

I saved a weekend plumber call with this thing
The water to my shower would no longer fully turn off. I had to shut off the water to the house so we were not being wasteful. Of course, this happens on a Friday night! I did not want to pay weekend rates for the plumber so I figured I'd wait until Monday to call it in (and live with only turning on the water for a few minutes per day). I watched a bunch of YouTube videos and learned how to replace the cartridge myself. The hardest part was figuring out which one was the correct one to use! Anyway, in less than an hour I was able to fix the runny faucet. This probably saved me $500-$600 in plumber costs. I'd say this job has some "light plumbing" aspects to it, but is very doable after watching a few videos.

Exactly what I needed!
My shower stopped getting hot and quickly developed a leak. This was adirect fit and required minimal tools to install. Even came with grease on it
