Easy to clean and very sturdy.
The food carrier kept our food hot for up to 5 hours and we are very satisfied with our purchase. I definitely recommend it to the persons in the food industry. The carrier is also easy to clean and very sturdy. It can be very heavy to move around and will require some manpower.

Not the greatest seal but does hold temp pretty well.
Just received this unit today. I was quick to check the door seal as there were some bad reviews about it not sealing properly. It seemed like it was a tight fit by the tension on the latches but the seal looked like it was loose in some areas. So I tipped the unit onto its back and put a bright flashlight inside pointing at the door. I then latched the door shut and dimmed the lights.... I could see light coming through from an area at the bottom wich supports a review I read about juice leaking out in someone's vehicle. There was also light coming from the side and almost the entire top of the door which supports another claim about steam leaking out. I looked at the hinges closley and they do look bent. I was thinking about trying to tweak them to see if I could get a better seal but decided against it due to the fact that it is only plastic that the srews are anchored into and there is a possibility of striping out the holes... I will be returning this unit and buying a different brand. In the photos you can see the light from the flashlight with the door secured shut One is from the bottom, one is from the side where the hinges are and one is from the top. Update... I did order a new Cambro brand similar to this model and was equally disappointed with it. I did the flashlight test wit it and it does not seal well at all either . I came to the conclusion that things are made super crappy theese days and gone are the days of quality control. Maybe one day businesses will take pride in thier workmanship again. But untill then we will all have to settle for substandard priducts. That being said, I did use this Carlisle for a recent cook. I had a brisket and 3 pork shoulder roasts come off the smoker at 10 pm. They were double wrapped in foil and I put them into full size foil pans and added foil to cover the pans. I fell asleep while resting the meat. At 9 am the next morning the brisket and pork was still holding at 140° internal temp. I changed my 1 star rating to three stars because of this and I am considering keeping the unit.

works very nicely
I initially tried this product when cooking on a small scale...(one pork butt -or- one brisket). When there isn't a lot of food at service temperature to fill it, it is difficult to maintain 140F+. When used to park about eight pork butts at 140F...it worked gloriously. Verified with a digital thermometer I was able to hot hold pork butts and transfer to a serving line with no problems. When used with hot food in all pans it is terrific. The door comes off easily for cleaning. the handles are nice for two-person lifts into a truck or onto a wagon. There are slots on the sides to park a various number of service trays. Very nice.

With some adjustments, it seals pretty well.
This review is to help those with poor seals. The issue for mine was not anything bent or warped, buy rather the hinges were placed 1/8" too low, so the door wasn't engaging at the right height. The first image is the initial seal, taken in the dark with a light inside the unit. The second black image is after I added some washers to the hinge pins to raise the door 1/8", and I also had to adjust the door hinges all the way out, which is easy to do with a screwdriver. Behind the screws is a metal receiver, so don't hesitate to remove them, you won't damage the unit in doing so.
