Featherweight functionality, incredible flexibility When I first took the Carrhart glasses out of the package, I thought I’d be disappointed because they didn’t have padding where the temple pieces grip the side of your head. My fears were unfounded. These glasses sit on your face with literally no sensation of being on, and the fact that the lenses adjust was something I discovered by accident! The first time I put them on I heard a sharp click and I thought I broken them, but I discovered that they are infinitely adjustable on both sides so they can truly fit your face and the angle of vision you want to have while you are using the diopter portion of the lenses. While these glasses cost twice as much as the glasses I previously purchased from Amazon, in my opinion the additional flexibility, functionality, and comfort more than make up for the difference in cost. And at $10 a pair there’s no reason not to keep one at work one in the garage and another safely tucked in the glove box of your car in a glasses case in the event you need to use them on the road for a repair or to read a map or any other close work. Truly an amazing and gratifying purchase.

Be aware of "full lens" versus "bi-focal" safety glasses

I didn't know they make "full lens" safety glasses and feel a little tricked into buying these. Of course, you wear safety glasses to work on projects at arms length, so if you have bi-focal lenses, you'd be operating a saw while looking through the bottom of your glasses. Bi-focals just don't make sense for anything you would use safety glasses for. Be sure to add "full lens" to your Amazon search. I'm sure Carhartt also makes full lens for a similar price. I found lots of results. I'm not returning mine because they were cheap, and there's nothing wrong with them. I just didn't know full lens safety glasses are common and you have to know or you'll buy the wrong product.

These are very handy. I need reading glasses, and having safety glasses with readers really works well.

Best safety glasses I've worn yet

I really dislike wearing safety glasses, but I must at my job. I've tried so many pair, and none have been as comfortable and wearable as these. The bifocal is low enough to be out of the way, but the arms are adjustable to raise them up, in the way if needed. I would normally put safety glasses on top of my head as soon as I could. I don't do that with these, I actually wear them in places I don't have to. I've dropped them multiple times on concrete and no scratches or damage of any kind. I will always keep a backup pair of these glasses for as long as I have to use safety glasses.

For the price it’s well worth buying

I’m a maintenance tech and I deal with a boiler system at my company and when the temperatures sores to the same temperature as hell, my safety glasses the company provided for me fogged up bad to where I couldn’t see nothing. I needed a white and red walking/feeler stick to find my way around. I decided to try these glasses after reading the reviews and I gotta say I’m pleased. They still fog up, but takes longer and not to the point to where my vision was the same as Stevie Wonder’s and my job I need to see at all times due to the danger level. I would highly recommend these glasses if you have the same problem I had. The only down side is that they scratch somewhat easily and one of the three pairs I purchased is a bit blurry for that reason alone is why I didn’t rate them 5 stars.

Very comfortable

Very comfortable for safety reading for work.
