Just understand some the weights are in odd amounts.
So because most used weights places want 1 dollar per LB this was cheaper when I bought it. Only down side is the weight plates were had a 7.5 pound weight plat which is odd to use and unexpected. If you are missing plats that help you slowly increase your lifts these are good.

Cheap but work decently.
Ordered this a few weeks age. 2 plate arrived broken but I emailed CAP support and they sent 2 replacement plates free of charge, plus the weights where early fixable with some gorilla glue so I have a couple extra usable weights. Soo far after a month they work just fine.

Hand spacing is tight
Other than the space for your hands being small the set is fine. Don't recommend if you're a large handed person.

1 7.5lb plate vinyl cover cracked and cement coming out
The set I received looks and feels good. Comfortable to hold. I have 1- 7.5lb plate is cracked with contents coming out. I have sent in information and pictures to company with hopes they will replace. I will update the rating after I receive a reply.

Love these dumbbells. And since I also got theUS Weight F0105E Weight Set with Dumbbells, 105-Pound , they are compatible and I now have 2 sets of dumbbells plus a barbell, with multiple options for weight. Plus, I love how easy they are to lock. And the price was decent. Update on Jan 2018: Well, well... that five-star review was back in April 2016. My product is still in mint condition, so, to upgrade my gym, I ordered a second set. But it looks nothing like the first one! Two damaged discs leaking cement and the whole thing looks like a cheap, second-hand imitation of the first. I guess this one is a gamble.

Great weights for the price. Some issues.
Pretty good set of weights, really good price. They're weights, they do their job. They feel slightly low quality, the bar is very light weight and I've held better dumbbells before, but I'm happy with it. The clamps are easy to use and don't require too much force to open which is nice. Edit: After using these for a while now, I have run into one annoying issue. The weights that come with it are very large, in both thickness and diameter. The problem is that it limits how much weight you can put onto a bar because it only fits probably 4 weights (20lbs on each) unless you buy metal ones which are much smaller and much better IMO. The other issue with the size is that your hands/wrist rub up against the rough texture of the plates. The space between them for your hand is not very large, so it is a bit of a pain and I found that it hurt my skin when it rubbed up against. These would be much better if the bar was slightly longer OR if the stock weights were smaller and smooth. I will be buying 5lb weights anyway, since the ones that come with it jump from 2.5 to 7.5, but it would be nice if these changes were made. I don't see the reason for the plastic to have such a rough texture.

Good dumbell in absence of the gym
Dont expect a very sturdy dumbell. It's bit wobbly but you cant expect a lot from this. But over all its really good and does the job. Rate 4.5/5

For beginners looking to dabble in weight training, and will take patience to get a complete set.
It's a starter set, would recommend looking for better sets if you were really into weight training. However, the packaging is awful, it is almost certain to arrive with broken pieces. Took two sets to make one acceptable one, even then it was just barely. These weights are cement filled in plastic shells. Each weight has an embedded inner ring as part of the shell that's used as anchors for stacking, but the rings are too soft, any pressure on them will destroy these rings. The weights are shipped in a thin cardboard held together with two poly straps. No stuffing inside to protect any of the contents, so as it travels it all ends up banging into each other. It's those rings that are most likely to bust such that the weights can no longer stack (resting on the floor or against each other on the bar). Worse yet, it's where seams on the plastic shell will likely tear, and the cement will start leaking. Amazon is awesome for handling exchanges and refunds though, so it did eventually work out for me. Between the original order and the replacement set I was able to get one whole working set in usable condition. Should you still choose to order this, best of luck!

Arrived in perfect condition, phew!
I just wanted to add my voice to the reviews here because I just bought these as a Christmas gift to my son and I was really worried they would show up and be trash because I read the reviews ahead of time and saw that a few people had reported receiving damaged or subpar weights. When these arrived today I opened them to happy delight at the fact they look prestine. Ther's not a scratch or dent to be seen. They look like a decent set of starter weights to me. I'll update this again after Christmas once they get some use.
