Good value, good for 2+, propane adapter hard to get in
The propane was tricky to get on. At someone's advice in the Q&A section, here is what works: hold the little adapter in your left hand, the propane bottle in your right hand. Push down on the bottle while turning it. There is a bit of leakage, but it works. What's it not- a 1 person , small ultra light backpacking stove. It's not as wind resistant as some. I have not achieved the advertised boil times- maybe because I have used it outside in February . What I like about it- it's great for day hikes with a few teens or for a cheap meal on road trips. It's bigger and cheaper than most. I like the sturdy handle that doesn't get hot and the insulation that won't burn hands. The lid that doesn't get overly hot, seems sturdier than most, has a nice drain hole.. It's compact and easy enough for a responsible teen to use. It's great for hot chocolate, Ramen, instant mashed potatoes in a sturdy microwave safe zip loc bag ( hint - use potatoes chips to scoop mashed potatoes ), tea , a box of mac and cheese - that sort of thing. Works great for these things. It also simmers better than many, even tye more expensive ones.

Another awesome product from Camp Chef
I bought this stove to keep as a backup in my truck. I have used other stoves that sell for a higher price and this is just as good as Jetboils. It will heat ice to boiling water in under two minutes. the entire stove tucks neatly into the pot. If you need a great backpacking stove, this is the one for you

Great alternative to Jet Boil
This stove is half the cost of a Jet Boil, and is exactly the same thing! It boils water super fast (same speed as the Jet Boil), and holds a lot of water. Very durable and easy to use. The only downside is the weight. There are obviously lighter backpacking stoves out there, and for cheaper, but we sometimes only have shorter hikes to campsites, so we pack a few more luxury items that are slightly heavier. This stove is one of them because of its ability to boil so fast and its capacity. So glad we tried this one before dropping the $125 on the Jet Boil.

Less than a Jetboil and works just as well
So first off, this is my first experience with this type of gear. I've included several pictures to help explain how it works and how it differs from other Camp Chef models and other brands. The one major difference is the size. Jetboil Zip (pictured) is 0.8-liter while the MS200 is 1.3 liters. For individual backpackers, that's a huge difference. The MS200 capacity is between the Jetboil Flash (1-liter) and Sumo (1.8-liter) stoves but I wasn't able to compare overall size. This model can use Isobutane as well as Propane and that is accomplished via the threaded adaptor and extra tank stand. Propane bottles have a different way to connect (thus the adaptor) and the base of the tank is different (thus the different stand). As to whether you need Isobutane or Propane, I'll leave that to the experts but the short answer I found was that isobutane is more efficient and works better in cold conditions while propane works better at higher elevations and you may already have a tank from your other stoves. The Camp Chef stove has a built-in ignitor which is a great feature not found on some other brands. The handle is very sturdy and the lid is easy to remove and replace. Assembly and storing is just as easy as with the Jetboil stove and noticeably less expensive. However, Camp Chef does not have the color changing indicator but you know it's boiling when it starts shaking (rolling boil will do that) Since I was only using it to boil water I can't comment on the sensitivity of the flame "dial" but hopefully will be able to follow up in a couple of weeks after my next trip. I'll also see if I can compare it to another Jetboil model. I've included "storage" photos to show how it all fits together but I think the Propane stand (and isobutane tank) would work better turned the other way around.

Did great for a weekend trip.
Did great for a weekend trip. It had a hard time getting a liter of water to boil when it was 30 degrees and windy but no issue at 0.5L. Quite happy with my purchase.

Great alternative to Jetboil if room is not an issue
I would go with the Stryker MS200. Uses both propane and isobutane fuels in one package. This will allow you to be a bit more flexible. I use it in a backpack and car camping and it has not let me down. I carry propane/large iso in the car and use the 4oz./8oz. isobutane canisters on foot. the 4oz. can acutally fits into the cup with all of the components in it. I have used this now for a little under a year in austere environments, Ft. Polk, LA, and i can tell you this is great. I am able to flex to meet any fuel requirement i may need. The major drawback is the size. I am still looking for a MOLLE bottle holder that this will fir into. No luck yet, but I have only been looking for like a few weeks. EDIT: I have been using this for over a year and I still love it. Mostly car camping. The flexibility of fuels definitely worth it. The major drawback is still the size. My recommendation is to dump the carrying net. I finally found a water bottle bag big enough do this. The Pathfinder Water Bottle Bag NWBB-PF. It is barely bog enough. If it were 5.5"-6" in diameter it would have been perfect. But as it stands, it does fit the propane base under the self contained stove, to include an extra 200gram fuel bottle and the Camp Chef Mountain Stryker Pot Support MSPH. If you invest in the MS200, get the pathfinder

Bigger than I thought but works great
It works awesome! Boils 4cups in a little over a minute. I've used it to boil hotdogs on the boat in some strong winds and it never went out or fell over. I would recommend it more for a truck or tent stove rather than a backpack pot, but if you got extra room it can be done.

Igniter doe snot work.
New out of the box the igniter sparks but no enough to lite the burner. Measured the distance of the igniter per the instructions, it would spark, but still would not lite even after many attempts. It will lite with a spark from a Bic lighter effortlessly. This item is not available to return.

Easily Comparable to the jet boil.
Wicked little stove. Compared to a friends jet boil and this little unit easily compared to the jet boil with the same features and usability. Workman ship and durability is great too. Everything packs up into the pot for easy compact storage. Ordered stovetop/simmer plate seperate and works awesome as well and still packs up into pot.

Works but only with that specific pot
It works great for boiling water. Can’t put another pan in it thou or else it snuffs the flame and it goes out. Packs up very well though.

Just a good as a jet boil
Works awesome, we’ll constricted. Consider a Jet Boil but this is as good of quality with a better handle in the pot.
